of_device_ids are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with of_device_ids provided by <linux/of.h> work with const of_device_ids. So mark the non-const structs as const. Resetting the watchdog timer on CIR interrupts or on game port interrupts is not not supported on recent chips, and doesn't really tell if the system is stable. On top of that, at least the bit to enable resetting the watchdog through the game port is used differently on recent chips. 2017-07-03watchdog: dw_wdt: get reset lines from dtSteffen Trumtrar
The dw_wdt has an external reset line, that can keep the device in reset and therefore rendering it useless and also is the only way of stopping the watchdog once it was started. Get the reset lines for this core from the devicetree. As these lines are optional, use devm_reset_control_get_optional_shared. If the reset line is not specified in the devicetree, the reset framework will just skip deasserting and continue. This way all users of the driver will continue to function without any harm, even if the reset line is not specified in the devicetree. 2017-06-05watchdog: core: add option to avoid early handling of watchdogSebastian Reichel
On some systems its desirable to have watchdog reboot the system when it does not come up fast enough. This adds a kernel parameter to disable the auto-update of watchdog before userspace takes over and a kernel option to set the default. The info messages were added to shorten error searching on misconfigured systems. Add binding information for DA9062 and DA9061 watchdog. Example bindings for both DA9062 and DA9061 devices are added. For the DA9061 device, a fallback compatible line is added as a valid combination of compatible strings. The original binding for DA9062 (only) used to reside inside the Documentation/devicetree/bindings/mfd/da9062.txt MFD document. The da9062-watchdog section was deleted in that file and replaced with a link to the new DA9061/62 binding information stored in this patch. The watchdog infrastructure now supports handling watchdog keepalive if the watchdog is running while the watchdog device is closed. The infrastructure now also supports generating additional heartbeats if the maximum hardware timeout is smaller than or close to the configured timeout. Because suspending to RAM may lose the register values, they are restored on resume. This is currently done unconditionally because there is currently no way to know (from the driver) whether they have really been lost or are still valid. Writing MR also pings the watchdog and this may not be what is expected so add a comment explaining why it happens. This fixes a problem with reading files larger than 2GB from a UFS-2 file system: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195721 The incorrect UFS s_maxsize limit became a problem as of commit c2a9737f45e2 ("vfs,mm: fix a dead loop in truncate_inode_pages_range()") which started using s_maxbytes to avoid a page index overflow in do_generic_file_read(). That caused files to be truncated on UFS-2 file systems because the default maximum file size is 2GB (MAX_NON_LFS) and UFS didn't update it. Here I simply increase the default to a common value used by other file systems. 2017-06-02Input: axp20x-pek - switch to acpi_dev_present and check for ACPI0011 tooHans de Goede
acpi_dev_found checks that there is a matching ACPI node, but it may be disabled (_STA method returns 0) in which case the soc_button_array driver will not bind to it and axp20x-pek should handle the power-button. This commit switches from acpi_dev_found to acpi_dev_present to avoid not registering an input-dev for the powerbutton when there is a disabled PNP0C40 device. The ACPI-6.0 standard defines a standard gpio button device using the ACPI0011 HID replacing the custom PNP0C40 gpio device, many newer devices define both PNP0C40 and ACPI0011 devices enabling one or the other depending on whether the BIOS thinks it is going to boot Android or Windows. This commit adds a check for the ACPI0011 device, so that if either device is present *and* enabled we don't register an input-dev for the powerbutton. 2017-06-02Input: axp20x-pek - only check for "INTCFD9" ACPI device on Cherry TrailHans de Goede
Commit 9b13a4ca8d2c ("Input: axp20x-pek - do not register input device on some systems") added a check for the INTCFD9 ACPI device which also handles the powerbutton as on some systems the powerbutton is connected to both the PMIC, handled by axp20x-pek, and to a gpio on the SoC, handled by soc_button_array which attaches itself to the INTCFD9 ACPI device. Testing + comparing DSDTs has shown that this only happens on Cherry Trail devices with an AXP288 PMIC, the AXP288 PMIC is also used on Bay Trail devices but there the power button is only connected to the PMIC and not handled by soc_button_array. This means that the INTCFD9 check has caused a regression on Bay Trail devices, causing power-button presses to no longer be seen. This commit fixes this by limiting the check to devices where the ACPI node for the AXP288 contains a _HRV (hardware revision) attribute with a value of 3 which indicates we are dealing with a Cherry Trail platform.
