2019-08-21drm/amdgpu/gfx9: update pg_flags after determining if gfx off is possibleAlex Deucher
We need to set certain power gating flags after we determine if the firmware version is sufficient to support gfxoff. Previously we set the pg flags in early init, but we later we might have disabled gfxoff if the firmware versions didn't support it. Move adding the additional pg flags after we determine whether or not to support gfxoff. 2019-08-21net: cpsw: fix NULL pointer exception in the probe error pathAntoine Tenart
In certain cases when the probe function fails the error path calls cpsw_remove_dt() before calling platform_set_drvdata(). This is an issue as cpsw_remove_dt() uses platform_get_drvdata() to retrieve the cpsw_common data and leds to a NULL pointer exception. This patches fixes it by calling platform_set_drvdata() earlier in the probe. 2019-08-21mlxsw: reg: Add new trap actionsIdo Schimmel
Subsequent patches will add discard traps support in mlxsw. The driver cannot configure such traps with a normal trap action, but needs to use exception trap action, which also increments an error counter. On the other hand, when these traps are initialized or set to drop action, they should use the default drop action set by the firmware. This guarantees that when the feature is disabled we get the exact same behavior as before the feature was introduced. I opened /sys/kernel/tracing/trace once and kept reading from it. bpf_trace_printk somehow did not seem to work, no entries were appended to that trace file. It turns out that tracing is disabled when that file is open. Save the next person some time and document this. The trace file is described in Documentation/trace/ftrace.rst, however the implication "tracing is disabled" did not immediate translate to "bpf_trace_printk silently discards entries". After _gadget_stop_activity is executed, we can consider the hardware operation for gadget has finished, and the udc can be stopped and enter low power mode. So, any later hardware operations (from usb_ep_ops APIs or usb_gadget_ops APIs) should be considered invalid, any deinitializatons has been covered at _gadget_stop_activity. I meet this problem when I plug out usb cable from PC using mass_storage gadget, my callstack like: vbus interrupt->.vbus_session-> composite_disconnect ->pm_runtime_put_sync(&_gadget->dev), the composite_disconnect will call fsg_disable, but fsg_disable calls usb_ep_disable using async way, there are register accesses for usb_ep_disable. So sometimes, I get system hang due to visit register without clock, sometimes not. The Linux Kernel USB maintainer Alan Stern suggests this kinds of solution. 2019-08-21dm dust: use dust block size for badblocklist indexBryan Gurney
Change the "frontend" dust_remove_block, dust_add_block, and dust_query_block functions to store the "dust block number", instead of the sector number corresponding to the "dust block number". For the "backend" functions dust_map_read and dust_map_write, right-shift by sect_per_block_shift. This fixes the inability to emulate failure beyond the first sector of each "dust block" (for devices with a "dust block size" larger than 512 bytes).
