2021-12-08irqchip/irq-gic-v3-its.c: Force synchronisation when issuing INVALLWudi Wang
INVALL CMD specifies that the ITS must ensure any caching associated with the interrupt collection defined by ICID is consistent with the LPI configuration tables held in memory for all Redistributors. SYNC is required to ensure that INVALL is executed. Currently, LPI configuration data may be inconsistent with that in the memory within a short period of time after the INVALL command is executed. 2021-12-08KVM: nVMX: Don't use Enlightened MSR Bitmap for L3Vitaly Kuznetsov
When KVM runs as a nested hypervisor on top of Hyper-V it uses Enlightened VMCS and enables Enlightened MSR Bitmap feature for its L1s and L2s (which are actually L2s and L3s from Hyper-V's perspective). When MSR bitmap is updated, KVM has to reset HV_VMX_ENLIGHTENED_CLEAN_FIELD_MSR_BITMAP from clean fields to make Hyper-V aware of the change. For KVM's L1s, this is done in vmx_disable_intercept_for_msr()/vmx_enable_intercept_for_msr(). MSR bitmap for L2 is build in nested_vmx_prepare_msr_bitmap() by blending MSR bitmap for L1 and L1's idea of MSR bitmap for L2. KVM, however, doesn't check if the resulting bitmap is different and never cleans HV_VMX_ENLIGHTENED_CLEAN_FIELD_MSR_BITMAP in eVMCS02. This is incorrect and may result in Hyper-V missing the update. The issue could've been solved by calling evmcs_touch_msr_bitmap() for eVMCS02 from nested_vmx_prepare_msr_bitmap() unconditionally but doing so would not give any performance benefits (compared to not using Enlightened MSR Bitmap at all). 3-level nesting is also not a very common setup nowadays. Don't enable 'Enlightened MSR Bitmap' feature for KVM's L2s (real L3s) for now. In [1], we introduced a set of units in linux/can/bittiming.h. Since then, generic SI prefixes were added to linux/units.h in [2]. Those new prefixes can perfectly replace CAN specific ones. This patch replaces all occurrences of the CAN units with their corresponding prefix (from linux/units) and the unit (as a comment) according to below table. 2021-12-08ath10k: Fix tx hangingSebastian Gottschall
While running stress tests in roaming scenarios (switching ap's every 5 seconds, we discovered a issue which leads to tx hangings of exactly 5 seconds while or after scanning for new accesspoints. We found out that this hanging is triggered by ath10k_mac_wait_tx_complete since the empty_tx_wq was not wake when the num_tx_pending counter reaches zero. To fix this, we simply move the wake_up call to htt_tx_dec_pending, since this call was missed on several locations within the ath10k code. 2021-12-08ath11k: add wait operation for tx management packets for flush from mac80211Wen Gong
In ath11k, tx of management packet is doing in a work queue. Sometimes the workqueue does not finish tx immediately, then it lead after the next step of vdev delete finished, it start to send the management packet to firmware and lead firmware crash. ieee80211_set_disassoc() have logic of ieee80211_flush_queues() after it send_deauth_disassoc() to ath11k, its purpose is make sure the deauth was actually sent, so it need to change ath11k to match the purpose of mac80211. 2021-12-08carl9170: Use the bitmap API when applicableChristophe JAILLET
Use 'bitmap_zalloc()' to simplify code, improve the semantic and avoid some open-coded arithmetic in allocator arguments. Note, that this 'bitmap_zalloc()' divides by BITS_PER_LONG the amount of memory allocated. The 'roundup()' used to computed the number of needed long should have been a DIV_ROUND_UP. Also change the corresponding 'kfree()' into 'bitmap_free()' to keep consistency. Use 'bitmap_zero()' to avoid hand writing it. Using sizeof for retrieving the max number of channels is then wrong. In practice, it was not an issue, because the sizeof returned value is 780, which is truncated in min_t (u8) to 80, which is the value we expect... Fix that properly using ARRAY_SIZE instead of sizeof. 2021-12-08ath11k: avoid deadlock by change ieee80211_queue_work for regd_update_workWen Gong
When enable debug config, it print below warning while shut down wlan interface shuh as run "ifconfig wlan0 down". The reason is because ar->regd_update_work is ran once, and it is will call wiphy_lock(ar->hw->wiphy) in function ath11k_regd_update() which is running in workqueue of ieee80211_local queued by ieee80211_queue_work(). Another thread from "ifconfig wlan0 down" will also accuqire the lock by wiphy_lock(sdata->local->hw.wiphy) in function ieee80211_stop(), and then it call ieee80211_stop_device() to flush_workqueue(local->workqueue), this will wait the workqueue of ieee80211_local finished. Then deadlock will happen easily if the two thread run meanwhile. Below warning disappeared after this change. When building under -Warray-bounds, the compiler is especially conservative when faced with casts from a smaller object to a larger object. While this has found many real bugs, there are some cases that are currently false positives (like here). 2021-12-07net: fec: only clear interrupt of handling queue in fec_enet_rx_queue()Joakim Zhang
Background: We have a customer is running a Profinet stack on the 8MM which receives and responds PNIO packets every 4ms and PNIO-CM packets every 40ms. However, from time to time the received PNIO-CM package is "stock" and is only handled when receiving a new PNIO-CM or DCERPC-Ping packet (tcpdump shows the PNIO-CM and the DCERPC-Ping packet at the same time but the PNIO-CM HW timestamp is from the expected 40 ms and not the 2s delay of the DCERPC-Ping). After debugging, we noticed PNIO, PNIO-CM and DCERPC-Ping packets would be handled by different RX queues. The root cause should be driver ack all queues' interrupt when handle a specific queue in fec_enet_rx_queue(). The blamed patch is introduced to receive as much packets as possible once to avoid interrupt flooding. But it's unreasonable to clear other queues'interrupt when handling one queue, this patch tries to fix it.
