The PGA Slew Time control allows to configure the rate with which the PGA
gain control ramps up/down to the target setting.
The PGA slew control is done via the ALC Control 0 register. There are 2
bits on that reg, that control PGA slew time, while the other bits control
parts of the ALC (automatic level control) block.

For a sound card ignore_machine means that existing FEs links should be
ignored and existing BEs links should be overridden with some information
from the matching component driver.
Current code make some confusions about this so fix it!

If we can use devm_kzalloc(rtd->dev, xxx) for rtdcom,
we don't need to call snd_soc_rtdcom_del_all() for kfree().
This patch uses devm_kzalloc(rtd->dev, xxx) for rtdcom,
and remove snd_soc_rtdcom_del_all().

"rtd" is handled by soc_xxx_pcm_runtime(), and
"rtd->dev" is handled by soc_rtd_xxx().
There is no reason to separate these, and it makes code complex.
We can free these in the same time.
Here soc_rtd_free() (A) which frees rtd->dev is called from
soc_remove_link_dais() many times (1).
Then, it is using dev_registered flags to avoid multi kfree() (2).
This is no longer needed if we can merge these functions.

Current ALSA SoC is calling list_del(&rtd->list) at (1)

We have soc_new_pcm_runtime() which allocs rtd and its related memory,
and soc_add_pcm_runtime() which connects rtd to card.
But we don't need to separate these, we can alloc and connect rtd
in the same time.
Current implementation is just makes code complex.
This patch merges these into one.

As an intermediate step before covering the clocking subsystem
of the CODEC entirely by the clk API add handling of external CODEC's
master clocks in DAPM events when the AIFn clocks are sourced directly
from MCLKn; when FLLn are used we enable/disable respective MCLKn
before/after FLLn is enabled/disabled.

The Allwinner A23 SoC and later have an embedded audio codec that uses a
separate controller to drive its analog part, which is supported in Linux,
with a matching Device Tree binding.
Now that we have the DT validation in place, let's convert the device tree
bindings for that controller over to a YAML schemas.

As of commit 648e921888ad ("clk: x86: Stop marking clocks as
CLK_IS_CRITICAL"), the cht_bsw_rt5645 driver needs to enable the clock
it's using for the codec's mclk. It does this from commit 7735bce05a9c
("ASoC: Intel: boards: use devm_clk_get() unconditionally"), enabling
pmc_plt_clk_3. However, Strago family Chromebooks use pmc_plt_clk_0 for
the codec mclk, resulting in white noise with some digital microphones.
Add a DMI-based quirk for Strago family Chromebooks to use pmc_plt_clk_0
instead - mirroring the changes made to cht_bsw_max98090_ti in
commit a182ecd3809c ("ASoC: intel: cht_bsw_max98090_ti: Add quirk for
boards using pmc_plt_clk_0") and making use of the existing
dmi_check_system() call and related infrastructure added in
commit 22af29114eb4 ("ASoC: Intel: cht-bsw-rt5645: add quirks for
SSP0/AIF1/AIF2 routing").

MQS (medium quality sound), is used to generate medium quality
audio via a standard digital output pin. It can be used to
connect stereo speakers or headphones simply via power amplifier
stages without an additional DAC chip. It only accepts 2-channel,
LSB-valid 16bit, MSB shift-out first, frame sync asserting with
the first bit of the frame, data shifted with the posedge of
bit clock, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz signals from SAI1 in left justified
format; and it provides the SNR target as no more than 20dB for
the signals below 10 kHz. The signals above 10 kHz will have
worse THD+N values.
MQS provides only simple audio reproduction. No internal pop,
click or distortion artifact reduction methods are provided.
The MQS receives the audio data from the SAI1 Tx section.

s390 IBM z15 introduces a check if the CPU Mesurement Facility

Other parts of the kernel expect these nonblocking EFI callbacks to
exist and crash when running under Xen. Since the implementations of
xen_efi_set_variable() and xen_efi_query_variable_info() do not take any
locks, use them for the nonblocking callbacks too.

The speed divisor is used in a context expecting an s64, but it is
evaluated using 32-bit arithmetic.
To avoid that happening, instead of multiplying by 1,000,000 in the
first place, simplify the fraction and do a standard 32 bit division
instead.

In sja1105_static_config_upload, in two cases memory is leaked: when
static_config_buf_prepare_for_upload fails and when sja1105_inhibit_tx
fails. In both cases config_buf should be released.

When you run "make", the modpost is run twice; before linking vmlinux,
and before building modules. All the warnings above are from the second
modpost.
The offending symbols are defined not in vmlinux, but in the C library.
The first modpost is run against the relocatable vmlinux.o, and those
warnings are nicely suppressed because the SH_UNDEF entries from the
symbol table clear the ->is_static flag.
The second modpost is run against the executable vmlinux (+ modules),
where those symbols have been resolved, but the definitions do not
exist.
This commit fixes it in a straightforward way; suppress the static
EXPORT_SYMBOL warnings from "vmlinux".
Without this commit, we see valid warnings twice anyway. For example,
ARCH=arm64 defconfig shows the following warning twice:

So, it is reasonable to suppress the second one.

Background: the switch only offers partial RX timestamps (24 bits) and
it is up to the driver to read the PTP clock to fill those timestamps up
to 64 bits. But the PTP clock readout needs to happen quickly enough (in
0.135 seconds, in fact), otherwise the PTP clock will wrap around 24
bits, condition which cannot be detected.
Looking at the 'max 134217731' value on output line 3, one can see that
in hex it is 0x8000003. Because the PTP clock resolution is 8 ns,
that means 0x1000000 in ticks, which is exactly 2^24. So indeed this is
a PTP clock wraparound, but the reason might be surprising.
What is going on is that sja1105_tstamp_reconstruct(priv, now, ts)
expects a "now" time that is later than the "ts" was snapshotted at.
This, of course, is obvious: we read the PTP time _after_ the partial RX
timestamp was received. However, the workqueue is processing frames from
a skb queue and reuses the same PTP time, read once at the beginning.
Normally the skb queue only contains one frame and all goes well. But
when the skb queue contains two frames, the second frame that gets
dequeued might have been partially timestamped by the RX MAC _after_ we
had read our PTP time initially.
The code was originally like that due to concerns that SPI access for
PTP time readout is a slow process, and we are time-constrained anyway
(aka: premature optimization). But some timing analysis reveals that the
time spent until the RX timestamp is completely reconstructed is 1 order
of magnitude lower than the 0.135 s deadline even under worst-case
conditions. So we can afford to read the PTP time for each frame in the
RX timestamping queue, which of course ensures that the full PTP time is
in the partial timestamp's future.

Commit 40df759e2b9e ("kbuild: Fix build with binutils <= 2.19")
introduced ar-option and KBUILD_ARFLAGS to deal with old binutils.
According to Documentation/process/changes.rst, the current minimal
supported version of binutils is 2.21 so you can assume the 'D' option
is always supported. Not only GNU ar but also llvm-ar supports it.
With the 'D' option hard-coded, there is no more user of ar-option
or KBUILD_ARFLAGS.

The "reuse->sock[]" array is shared by multiple sockets. The going away
sk must unpublish itself from "reuse->sock[]" before making call_rcu()
call. However, this unpublish-action is currently done after a grace
period and it may cause use-after-free.
The fix is to move reuseport_detach_sock() to sk_destruct().
Due to the above reason, any socket with sk_reuseport_cb has
to go through the rcu grace period before freeing it.
It is a rather old bug (~3 yrs). The Fixes tag is not necessary
the right commit but it is the one that introduced the SOCK_RCU_FREE
logic and this fix is depending on it.

From commit a94e4f24ec83 ("MIPS: init: Drop boot_mem_map") onwards,
add_memory_region() is handled by memblock_add()/memblock_reserve()
directly and all bootmem API should be converted to memblock API.
Otherwise it will lead to boot failure, especially in the NUMA case
because add_memory_region lose the node_id information.

Fix a recent cleanup patch. noio (bypass) chain is
handled asynchronously against submit chain, therefore
inplace I/O or pagevec cannot be applied to such pages.

After doing more drop_caches stress test on
our products, I found the mistake introduced by
a very recent cleanup [1].
The current rule is that "erofs_get_meta_page"
should be returned with page locked (although
it's mostly unnecessary for read-only fs after
pages are PG_uptodate), but a fix should be
done for this.

Commit 6334150e9a36 ("remoteproc: don't allow modular build")
changes CONFIG_REMOTEPROC to a boolean from a tristate config
option which inhibits all defconfigs marking CONFIG_REMOTEPROC as
a module in compiling the remoteproc and dependent config options.
So fix the configs to have CONFIG_REMOTEPROC built in.

erspan driver calls ether_setup(), after commit 61e84623ace3
("net: centralize net_device min/max MTU checking"), the range
of mtu is [min_mtu, max_mtu], which is [68, 1500] by default.
It causes the dev mtu of the erspan device to not be greater
than 1500, this limit value is not correct for ipgre tap device.
