Even when CONFIG_PCIEASPM is not set, we save and restore the LTR
Capability so that if ASPM L1.2 and LTR were configured by the platform,
ASPM L1.2 will still work after suspend/resume, when that platform
configuration may be lost. See dbbfadf23190 ("PCI/ASPM: Save LTR Capability
for suspend/resume").
Since ASPM L1.2 depends on the LTR Capability, move the save/restore code
to the part of aspm.c that is always compiled regardless of
CONFIG_PCIEASPM. No functional change intended.

Some ASPM-related tasks, such as save and restore of LTR and L1SS
capabilities, still need to be performed when CONFIG_PCIEASPM is not
enabled. To prepare for these changes, wrap the current code in aspm.c
with an #ifdef and always build the file.

The Latency Tolerance Reporting (LTR) mechanism supports the ASPM L1.2
state and is only configured when CONFIG_PCIEASPM is set.
Move pci_configure_ltr() and pci_bridge_reconfigure_ltr() into aspm.c since
they only build when CONFIG_PCIEASPM is set. No functional change
intended.

Donald points out that we don't check for overflows.
Stash the length of the message on nlmsg_pid (nlmsg_seq would
do as well). This allows the attribute helpers to remain
self-contained (no extra arguments). Also let the put
helpers continue to return nothing. The error is checked
only in (newly introduced) ynl_msg_end().

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

The driver support two functions: PWM and Tachometer. The PWM feature can
handle up to 16 output ports, while the Tachometer can monitor to up to 16
input ports as well. This driver implements them by exposing two kernel
subsystems: PWM and HWMON. The PWM subsystem can be utilized alongside
existing drivers for controlling elements such as fans (pwm-fan.c),
beepers (pwm-beeper.c) and so on. Through the HWMON subsystem, the driver
provides sysfs interfaces for fan.

Although there is no concurrent block allocation/free in unit test,
internal functions mb_mark_used and mb_free_blocks assert group
lock is always held. Acquire group before calling mb_mark_used and
mb_free_blocks in unit test to avoid the assertion.

This patch addresses an issue observed when resize_inode is disabled
and an online extension of a filesysyem is performed. When a filesystem
is expanded to a size that does not require a addition of a new
descriptor block, the meta_bg feature is being enabled even though no
part of the filesystem uses this layout.
This patch ensures that the meta_bg feature is only enabled if
any of the added block groups utilize meta_bg layout.

The SLAB_MEM_SPREAD flag used to be implemented in SLAB, which was
removed as of v6.8-rc1, so it became a dead flag since the commit
16a1d968358a ("mm/slab: remove mm/slab.c and slab_def.h"). And the
series[1] went on to mark it obsolete to avoid confusion for users.
Here we can just remove all its users, which has no functional change.

Currently we ignore s_clusters_per_group field in the on-disk superblock
if bigalloc feature is not enabled. However e2fsprogs don't even open
the filesystem if s_clusters_per_group is invalid. This results in an
odd state where kernel happily works with the filesystem while even
e2fsck refuses to touch it. Verify that s_clusters_per_group is valid
even if bigalloc feature is not enabled to make things consistent. Due
to current e2fsprogs behavior it is unlikely there are filesystems out
in the wild (except for intentionally fuzzed ones) with invalid

We observed a corruption during on-line resize of a file system that is
larger than 16 TiB with 4k block size. With having more then 2^32 blocks
resize_inode is turned off by default by mke2fs. The issue can be
reproduced on a smaller file system for convenience by explicitly
turning off resize_inode. An on-line resize across an 8 GiB boundary (the
size of a meta block group in this setup) then leads to a corruption:

2^21 = 2^15*2^6 equals 8 GiB whereof 2^15 is the number of blocks per
block group and 2^6 are the number of block groups that make a meta
block group.
The last checksum might be different depending on how the file is laid
out across the physical blocks. The actual corruption occurs at physical
block 63*2^15 = 2064384 which would be the location of the backup of the
meta block group's block descriptor. During the on-line resize the file
system will be converted to meta_bg starting at s_first_meta_bg which is
2 in the example - meaning all block groups after 16 GiB. However, in
ext4_flex_group_add we might add block groups that are not part of the
first meta block group yet. In the reproducer we achieved this by
substracting the size of a whole block group from the point where the
meta block group would start. This must be considered when updating the
backup block group descriptors to follow the non-meta_bg layout. The fix
is to add a test whether the group to add is already part of the meta
block group or not.

When ext4 is mounted without journal, with discard mount option, and on
a device not supporting trim, we print error for each and every freed
extent. This is not only useless but actively harmful. Instead ignore
the EOPNOTSUPP error. Trim is only advisory anyway and when the
filesystem has journal we silently ignore trim error as well.

Currently defconfig selects NR_CPUS=256, but some vendors (e.g. Ampere
Computing) are planning to ship systems with 512 CPUs. So that all CPUs on
these systems can be used with defconfig, we'd like to bump NR_CPUS to 512.
Therefore this patch increases the default NR_CPUS from 256 to 512.
As increasing NR_CPUS will increase the size of cpumasks, there's a fear that
this might have a significant impact on stack usage due to code which places
cpumasks on the stack. To mitigate that concern, we can select
CPUMASK_OFFSTACK. As that doesn't seem to be a problem today with
NR_CPUS=256, we only select this when NR_CPUS > 256.
CPUMASK_OFFSTACK configures the cpumasks in the kernel to be
dynamically allocated. This was used in the X86 architecture in the
past to enable support for larger CPU configurations up to 8k cpus.
With that is becomes possible to dynamically size the allocation of
the cpu bitmaps depending on the quantity of processors detected on
bootup. Memory used for cpumasks will increase if the kernel is
run on a machine with more cores.
Further increases may be needed if ARM processor vendors start
supporting more processors. Given the current inflationary trends
in core counts from multiple processor manufacturers this may occur.
There are minor regressions for hackbench. The kernel data size
for 512 cpus is smaller with offstack than with onstack.

With multiple poll entries __io_queue_proc() might be running in
parallel with poll handlers and possibly task_work, we should not be
carelessly modifying req->flags there. io_poll_double_prepare() handles
a similar case with locking but it's much easier to move it into
__io_arm_poll_handler().

Add of_match table for "ti,amc6821" compatible string.
This fixes automatic driver loading by userspace when using device-tree,
and if built as a module like major linux distributions do.
While devices probe just fine with i2c_device_id table, userspace can't
match the "ti,amc6821" compatible string from dt with the plain
"amc6821" device id. As a result, the kernel module can not be loaded.

Expose FPMR in the signal context on systems where it is supported. The
kernel validates the exact size of the FPSIMD registers so we can't readily
add it to fpsimd_context without disruption.

FEAT_FPMR defines a new EL0 accessible register FPMR use to configure the
FP8 related features added to the architecture at the same time. Detect
support for this register and context switch it for EL0 when present.
Due to the sharing of responsibility for saving floating point state
between the host kernel and KVM FP8 support is not yet implemented in KVM
and a stub similar to that used for SVCR is provided for FPMR in order to
avoid bisection issues. To make it easier to share host state with the
hypervisor we store FPMR as a hardened usercopy field in uw (along with
some padding).

FEAT_FPMR provides a new generally accessible architectural register FPMR.
This is only accessible to EL0 and EL1 when HCRX_EL2.EnFPM is set to 1,
do this when the host is running. The guest part will be done along with
context switching the new register and exposing it via guest management.
