Commit 9837b43c5f3514e5d28f65f1513f4dc6759d2810 ("powerpc/85xx: enable coreint for all the 64bit boards") removed the ifdef that avoided coreint on 64-bit, but it missed b4_qds.c. 2013-10-28powerpc/8xx: Revert commit e0908085fc2391c85b85fb814ae1df377c8e0dcbLEROY Christophe
The commit e0908085fc2391c85b85fb814ae1df377c8e0dcb ("powerpc/8xx: Fix regression introduced by cache coherency rewrite") is not needed anymore. The issue was because dcbst wrongly sets the store bit when causing a DTLB error, but this is now fixed by commit 0a2ab51ffb8dfdf51402dcfb446629648c96bc78 ("powerpc/8xx: Fixup DAR from buggy dcbX instructions.") which handles the buggy dcbx instructions on data page faults on the 8xx. 2013-10-28powerpc/mpc8xx: Clearer Oops message for Software Emulation ExceptionLEROY Christophe
This patch modifies the Oops message in case of Software Emulation Exception. The existing message is quite confusing because it refers to FPU Emulation while most often the issue is due to either a non supported instruction (not necessarily FPU related) or a stale instruction due to HW issues. The new message tries to be more generic in order to make the user understand that the Oops is due to something wrong with an instruction, not necessarily due to an FPU instruction. 2013-10-28powerpc/pci: Change the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_{HEADER => EARLY} macro of pci quirkChunhe Lan
Freescale platform has class code = 0x0b2000, when it boots. This makes kernel PCI bus code to setup these devices resulting into the following notice information when trying to enable them: pci 0000:00:00.0: ignoring class 0x0b2000 (doesn't match header type 01) The above information is outputted by judging value of dev->class before pci_setup_device() function, and the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_HEADER quirk runs after pci_setup_device() function. But the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_EARLY quirk runs before judging value of dev->class and pci_setup_device() function. So we use the DECLARE_PCI_FIXUP_EARLY macro to fix this issue. 2013-10-28arm/versatile: Fix versatile irq specifications.Grant Likely
Two of the versatile irq definitions are incorrect, mostly because two devices have connections to more than one interrupt controller. Fix them by using the new interrupts-extended property to fan out without using an awful interrupt-map nexus node. Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org>
2013-10-28of/irq: create interrupts-extended propertyGrant Likely
The standard interrupts property in device tree can only handle interrupts coming from a single interrupt parent. If a device is wired to multiple interrupt controllers, then it needs to be attached to a node with an interrupt-map property to demux the interrupt specifiers which is confusing. It would be a lot easier if there was a form of the interrupts property that allows for a separate interrupt phandle for each interrupt specifier. This patch does exactly that by creating a new interrupts-extended property which reuses the phandle+arguments pattern used by GPIOs and other core bindings. 2013-10-28Merge branch 'fscache' of ↵Trond Myklebust
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-fs into linux-next Pull fs-cache fixes from David Howells: Can you pull these commits to fix an issue with NFS whereby caching can be enabled on a file that is open for writing by subsequently opening it for reading. This can be made to crash by opening it for writing again if you're quick enough. The gist of the patchset is that the cookie should be acquired at inode creation only and subsequently enabled and disabled as appropriate (which dispenses with the backing objects when they're not needed). The extra synchronisation that NFS does can then be dispensed with as it is thenceforth managed by FS-Cache. Could you send these on to Linus? This likely will need fixing also in CIFS and 9P also once the FS-Cache changes are upstream. AFS and Ceph are probably safe. * 'fscache' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-fs: NFS: Use i_writecount to control whether to get an fscache cookie in nfs_open() FS-Cache: Provide the ability to enable/disable cookies FS-Cache: Add use/unuse/wake cookie wrappers
2013-10-28nfs: use IS_ROOT not DCACHE_DISCONNECTEDJ. Bruce Fields
This check was added by Al Viro with d9e80b7de91db05c1c4d2e5ebbfd70b3b3ba0e0f "nfs d_revalidate() is too trigger-happy with d_drop()", with the explanation that we don't want to remove the root of a disconnected tree, which will still be included on the s_anon list. But DCACHE_DISCONNECTED does *not* actually identify dentries that are disconnected from the dentry tree or hashed on s_anon. IS_ROOT() is the way to do that. Also add a comment from Al's commit to remind us why this check is there. Signed-off-by: J.
