2021-10-28mmc: mediatek: Move cqhci init behind ungate clockWenbin Mei
We must enable clock before cqhci init, because crypto needs read information from CQHCI registers, otherwise, it will hang in MediaTek mmc host controller. 2021-10-28bpf, tests: Add module parameter test_suite to test_bpf moduleTiezhu Yang
After commit 9298e63eafea ("bpf/tests: Add exhaustive tests of ALU operand magnitudes"), when modprobe test_bpf.ko with JIT on mips64, there exists segment fault due to the following reason: [...] ALU64_MOV_X: all register value magnitudes jited:1 Break instruction in kernel code[#1] [...] It seems that the related JIT implementations of some test cases in test_bpf() have problems. At this moment, I do not care about the segment fault while I just want to verify the test cases of tail calls. Based on the above background and motivation, add the following module parameter test_suite to the test_bpf.ko: test_suite=<string>: only the specified test suite will be run, the string can be "test_bpf", "test_tail_calls" or "test_skb_segment". If test_suite is not specified, but test_id, test_name or test_range is specified, set 'test_bpf' as the default test suite. This is useful to only test the corresponding test suite when specifying the valid test_suite string. Any invalid test suite will result in -EINVAL being returned and no tests being run. If the test_suite is not specified or specified as empty string, it does not change the current logic, all of the test cases will be run. Here are some test results: # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf # dmesg | grep Summary test_bpf: Summary: 1009 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/997 JIT'ed] test_bpf: test_tail_calls: Summary: 8 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/8 JIT'ed] test_bpf: test_skb_segment: Summary: 2 PASSED, 0 FAILED # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_bpf # dmesg | tail -1 test_bpf: Summary: 1009 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/997 JIT'ed] # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_tail_calls # dmesg test_bpf: #0 Tail call leaf jited:0 21 PASS [...] test_bpf: #7 Tail call error path, index out of range jited:0 32 PASS test_bpf: test_tail_calls: Summary: 8 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/8 JIT'ed] # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_skb_segment # dmesg test_bpf: #0 gso_with_rx_frags PASS test_bpf: #1 gso_linear_no_head_frag PASS test_bpf: test_skb_segment: Summary: 2 PASSED, 0 FAILED # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_id=1 # dmesg test_bpf: test_bpf: set 'test_bpf' as the default test_suite. test_bpf: #1 TXA jited:0 54 51 50 PASS test_bpf: Summary: 1 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/1 JIT'ed] # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_bpf test_name=TXA # dmesg test_bpf: #1 TXA jited:0 54 50 51 PASS test_bpf: Summary: 1 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/1 JIT'ed] # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_tail_calls test_range=6,7 # dmesg test_bpf: #6 Tail call error path, NULL target jited:0 41 PASS test_bpf: #7 Tail call error path, index out of range jited:0 32 PASS test_bpf: test_tail_calls: Summary: 2 PASSED, 0 FAILED, [0/2 JIT'ed] # rmmod test_bpf # dmesg -c # modprobe test_bpf test_suite=test_skb_segment test_id=1 # dmesg test_bpf: #1 gso_linear_no_head_frag PASS test_bpf: test_skb_segment: Summary: 1 PASSED, 0 FAILED By the way, the above segment fault has been fixed in the latest bpf-next tree which contains the mips64 JIT rework. 2021-10-28iwlwifi: mvm: extend session protection on associationJohannes Berg
When we receive an association response, a significant amount of time might have passed since we sent the corresponding association request (mac80211 will wait up to 500ms for the TX and then 100ms for the response after ACK was received). But the time event is touched only when we send the assoc request, so it might not have much time remaining, more easily causing the (dreaded) No beacon heard and the session protection is over already... message. Refactor iwl_mvm_mac_mgd_prepare_tx() and split out a new function iwl_mvm_protect_assoc(), and call it on successful association to extend the time event to the minimum time if necessary. 2021-10-28iwlwifi: mvm: remove session protection on disassocJohannes Berg
If we somehow get disassociated while still waiting for a beacon during connection, we can end up printing the No beacon heard and the session protection is over already... message even if we aren't really quite waiting for it anymore. Remove the time event, if it's running, when we get disassociated and don't need to wait for beacons anymore. 2021-10-28iwlwifi: mvm: fix WGDS table print in iwl_mvm_chub_update_mcc()Luca Coelho

2021-10-28iwlwifi: rename GEO_TX_POWER_LIMIT to PER_CHAIN_LIMIT_OFFSET_CMDLuca Coelho
When this code was implemented, there was no official FW API description yet, so a placeholder name was used (GEO_TX_POWER_LIMIT). But then the command became actually called PER_CHAIN_LIMIT_OFFSET_CMD. Rename the command (and change related comments) to PER_CHAIN_LIMIT_OFFSET_CMD to avoid confusion. 2021-10-28iwlwifi: mvm: d3: use internal data representationJohannes Berg
Trying to convert from one firmware data representation to the next version is getting tedious and error-prone, and doesn't lend itself well to new APIs being added. Additionally, the version 11 of the API as defined in the driver doesn't even exist in the firmware. Instead of converting to a newer firmware version of the data, convert to an internal representation. This takes a bit more space because the TKIP/AES counters etc. must be kept twice, their representation is different and we don't know which of the ones it is until later, but this is just a temporary use of memory, and the code is clearer this way. 2021-10-28wcn36xx: Channel list update before hardware scanLoic Poulain
The channel scan list must be updated before triggering a hardware scan so that firmware takes into account the regulatory info for each single channel such as active/passive config, power, DFS, etc... Without this the firmware uses its own internal default channel configuration, which is not aligned with mac80211 regulatory rules, and misses several channels (e.g. 144). 2021-10-28xfrm: Remove redundant fields and related parenthesesluo penghao
The variable err is not necessary in such places. It should be revmoved for the simplicity of the code. This will cause the double parentheses to be redundant, and the inner parentheses should be deleted. The clang_analyzer complains as follows: net/xfrm/xfrm_input.c:533: warning: net/xfrm/xfrm_input.c:563: warning: Although the value stored to 'err' is used in the enclosing expression, the value is never actually read from 'err'. 2021-10-27hwmon: (tmp401) Drop support for TMP461Guenter Roeck
TMP461 is almost identical to TMP451, which is already supported by the lm90 driver. At the same time, unlike other sensors from the TMP401 compatible series, it only supports 8-bit temperature read operations, and it supports negative temperatures when configured for its default temperature range, and it supports a temperature offset register. Supporting this chip in the tmp401 driver adds unnecessary complexity. Remove its support from this driver and support the chip with the lm90 driver instead. Fixes: 24333ac26d01 ("hwmon: (tmp401) use smb word operations instead of 2 smb byte operations") Reported-by: David T. Wilson <david.wilson@nasa.gov> Cc: David T. 2021-10-27hwmon: (lm90) Add basic support for TI TMP461Guenter Roeck
TMP461 is almost identical to TMP451 and was actually detected as TMP451 with the existing lm90 driver if its I2C address is 0x4c. Add support for it to the lm90 driver. At the same time, improve the chip detection function to at least try to distinguish between TMP451 and TMP461. As a side effect, this fixes commit 24333ac26d01 ("hwmon: (tmp401) use smb word operations instead of 2 smb byte operations"). TMP461 does not support word operations on temperature registers, which causes bad temperature readings with the tmp401 driver. The lm90 driver does not perform word operations on temperature registers and thus does not have this problem. Support is listed as basic because TMP461 supports a sensor resolution of 0.0625 degrees C, while the lm90 driver assumes a resolution of 0.125 degrees C. Also, the TMP461 supports negative temperatures with its default temperature range, which is not the case for similar chips supported by the lm90 and the tmp401 drivers. Those limitations will be addressed with follow-up patches. Fixes: 24333ac26d01 ("hwmon: (tmp401) use smb word operations instead of 2 smb byte operations") Reported-by: David T. 2021-10-27drm/amd/display: Fix deadlock when falling back to v2 from v3Nicholas Kazlauskas

2021-10-27drm/amd/display: Fallback to clocks which meet requested voltage on DCN31Michael Strauss
[WHY] On certain configs, SMU clock table voltages don't match which cause parser to behave incorrectly by leaving dcfclk and socclk table entries unpopulated. [HOW] Currently the function that finds the corresponding clock for a given voltage only checks for exact voltage level matches. In the case that no match gets found, parser now falls back to searching for the max clock which meets the requested voltage (i.e. its corresponding voltage is below requested). 2021-10-27tracing: Do not warn when connecting eprobe to non existing eventSteven Rostedt (VMware)
When the syscall trace points are not configured in, the kselftests for ftrace will try to attach an event probe (eprobe) to one of the system call trace points. This triggered a WARNING, because the failure only expects to see memory issues. But this is not the only failure. The user may attempt to attach to a non existent event, and the kernel must not warn about it.
