2014-10-21ARM: dts: Add Maxim 77693 PMIC to exynos4412-trats2Krzysztof Kozlowski
The MAX77693 is a companion power management IC for smart phones and tablets. The MAX77693 contains input over-voltage protection (OVP), a fully-integrated 2.5A switching charger for Lithium Ion battery with integrated battery disconnect, OTG/accessory 5V output power, a high-current white LED driver for camera flash, two safeout LDOs, a haptic motor driver, Model Gauge m3 battery fuel gauge and MicroUSB Interface Controller (MUIC). I2C serial interface is used for communicating. Add MAX77693 node to the Trats2 board. This allows using: - charger regulator, - 2 safeout LDO regulators (for USB OTG), - extcon. 2014-10-21ARM: dts: Add sleep mode pin configuration for exynos4412-trats2Tomasz Figa
This patch adds sleep mode pin configuration using pin control hog mechanism to configure states of GPIO pins in sleep mode. This is required to reduce leakage current in sleep mode and prevent glitching of components on the board. 2014-10-21ARM: dts: Add utility macro to define pin sleep states for exynos4x12-pinctrlTomasz Figa
This patch adds a convenient macro which constructs an Exynos pinctrl pinconf node containing properties needed to configure sleep state of given pin with given parameters. It will be used by further patch which adds a large number of sleep states for pins that need such configuration on certain boards. 2014-10-21ARM: dts: Keep eMMC regulators soft-disabled for exynos4412-trats2Tomasz Figa
In MAX77686 PMIC two regulators dedicated for eMMC memory can be controlled both by I2C interface and a GPIO pin, with the resulting regulator state being a logical OR of both. Since the GPIO control is used both by the kernel and the lowest level bootloader at reset, the regulator should be disabled by I2C control to allow it to be turned off by GPIO control. This patch removes regulator-always-on properties from both regulators and, while at it, also unsupported regulator-mem-off. 2014-10-20ALSA: hda - hdmi: Fix missing ELD change event on plug/unplugAnssi Hannula
The ELD ALSA control change event is sent by hdmi_present_sense() when eld_changed is true. Currently, it is only true when the ELD buffer contents have been modified. However, the user-visible ELD controls also change to a zero-length value and back when eld_valid is unset/set, and no event is currently sent in such cases (such as when unplugging or replugging a sink). Fix the code to always set eld_changed if eld_valid value is changed, and therefore to always send the change event when the user-visible value changes. 2014-10-20ax88179_178a: fix bonding failureIan Morgan
The following patch fixes a bug which causes the ax88179_178a driver to be incapable of being added to a bond. When I brought up the issue with the bonding maintainers, they indicated that the real problem was with the NIC driver which must return zero for success (of setting the MAC address). I see that several other NIC drivers follow that pattern by either simply always returing zero, or by passing through a negative (error) result while rewriting any positive return code to zero. With that same philisophy applied to the ax88179_178a driver, it allows it to work correctly with the bonding driver. I believe this is suitable for queuing in -stable, as it's a small, simple, and obvious fix that corrects a defect with no other known workaround. This patch is against vanilla 3.17(.0). 2014-10-20staging: comedi: (regression) channel list must be set for COMEDI_CMD ioctlIan Abbott
`do_cmd_ioctl()`, the handler for the `COMEDI_CMD` ioctl can incorrectly call the Comedi subdevice's `do_cmd()` handler with a NULL channel list pointer. This is a regression as the `do_cmd()` handler has never been expected to deal with that, leading to a kernel OOPS when it tries to dereference it. A NULL channel list pointer is allowed for the `COMEDI_CMDTEST` ioctl, handled by `do_cmdtest_ioctl()` and the subdevice's `do_cmdtest()` handler, but not for the `COMEDI_CMD` ioctl and its handlers. Both `do_cmd_ioctl()` and `do_cmdtest_ioctl()` call `__comedi_get_user_chanlist()` to copy the channel list from user memory into dynamically allocated kernel memory and check it for consistency. That function currently returns 0 if the `user_chanlist` parameter (pointing to the channel list in user memory) is NULL. That's fine for `do_cmdtest_ioctl()`, but `do_cmd_ioctl()` incorrectly assumes the kernel copy of the channel list has been set-up correctly. Fix it by not allowing the `user_chanlist` parameter to be NULL in `__comedi_get_user_chanlist()`, and only calling it from `do_cmdtest_ioctl()` if the parameter is non-NULL. There's also a qcom DT update that adds support for SATA on AP148, and basic support for Sony Xperia Z1 and CM-QS600 platforms that seemed isolated enough that we could merge it even if it's late" * tag 'arm-soc-fixes-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: MAINTAINERS: corrected bcm2835 search ARM: dts: Explicitly set dr_mode on exynos5420-arndale-octa ARM: dts: Explicitly set dr_mode on exynos Peach boards ARM: dts: qcom: add CM-QS600 board ARM: dts: qcom: Add initial DTS file for Sony Xperia Z1 phone ARM: dts: qcom: Add SATA support on IPQ8064/AP148 MAINTAINERS: Update Santosh Shilimkar's email id ARM: sunxi_defconfig: enable CONFIG_REGULATOR ARM: dts: Disable smc91x on n900 until bootloader dependency is removed ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: Enable ARM erratum 430973 for omap3 ARM: exynos_defconfig: enable USB gadget support ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable Maxim 77693 and I2C GPIO drivers ARM: mm: Fix ifdef around cpu_*_do_[suspend, resume] ops ARM: EXYNOS: Fix build with PM_SLEEP=n and ARM_EXYNOS_CPUIDLE=n ARM: SAMSUNG: Restore Samsung PM Debug functionality ARM: dts: Fix pull setting in sd4_width8 pin group for exynos4x12 ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable SBS battery support ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable Control Groups support ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable Atmel maXTouch support ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable MAX77802

Pull audit updates from Eric Paris: "So this change across a whole bunch of arches really solves one basic problem. We want to audit when seccomp is killing a process. seccomp hooks in before the audit syscall entry code. audit_syscall_entry took as an argument the arch of the given syscall. Since the arch is part of what makes a syscall number meaningful it's an important part of the record, but it isn't available when seccomp shoots the syscall... For most arch's we have a better way to get the arch (syscall_get_arch) So the solution was two fold: Implement syscall_get_arch() everywhere there is audit which didn't have it. Use syscall_get_arch() in the seccomp audit code. Having syscall_get_arch() everywhere meant it was a useless flag on the stack and we could get rid of it for the typical syscall entry. The other changes inside the audit system aren't grand, fixed some records that had invalid spaces. Better locking around the task comm field. Removing some dead functions and structs. Make some things static. Really minor stuff" * git://git.infradead.org/users/eparis/audit: (31 commits) audit: rename audit_log_remove_rule to disambiguate for trees audit: cull redundancy in audit_rule_change audit: WARN if audit_rule_change called illegally audit: put rule existence check in canonical order next: openrisc: Fix build audit: get comm using lock to avoid race in string printing audit: remove open_arg() function that is never used audit: correct AUDIT_GET_FEATURE return message type audit: set nlmsg_len for multicast messages. audit: use union for audit_field values since they are mutually exclusive audit: invalid op= values for rules audit: use atomic_t to simplify audit_serial() kernel/audit.c: use ARRAY_SIZE instead of sizeof/sizeof[0] audit: reduce scope of audit_log_fcaps audit: reduce scope of audit_net_id audit: arm64: Remove the audit arch argument to audit_syscall_entry arm64: audit: Add audit hook in syscall_trace_enter/exit() audit: x86: drop arch from __audit_syscall_entry() interface sparc: implement is_32bit_task sparc: properly conditionalize use of TIF_32BIT ...
