There is no reason to restrict the allowed rotation degrees to 0 and 180, as the sensor can be mounted with any rotation. Also, as all the properties described by video-interface-devices.yaml are allowed for the image sensor, make them accepted by changing "additionalProperties: false" to "unevaluatedProperties: false" at the schema top-level. As explained in the description text from trivial-devices.yaml: "This is a list of trivial I2C and SPI devices that have simple device tree bindings, consisting only of a compatible field, an address and possibly an interrupt line." A camera device does not fall into this category as it needs other properties such as regulators, reset and powerdown GPIOs, clocks, media endpoint. Convert the OmniVision OV7251 Image Sensor binding to DT schema format. vddd-supply was listed as required, but the example and actual user don't have it. Also, the data brief says it has an internal regulator, so perhaps it is truly optional. Add missing common "link-frequencies" which is used and required by the Linux driver. 2023-09-05media: dt-bindings: Merge OV5695 into OV5693 bindingRob Herring
The OV5695 binding is almost the same as the OV5693 binding. The only difference is 'clock-names' is defined for OV5695. However, the lack of clock-names is an omission as the Linux OV5693 driver expects the same 'xvclk' clock name. 'link-frequencies' is required by OV5693, but not OV5695, so make that conditional. Really, this shouldn't vary by device, but we're stuck with the existing binding use. The rockchip-isp1 binding example is missing required properties, so it has to be updated as well. 2023-05-25dt-bindings: i2c: maxim,max96712: Require setting bus-type propertyNiklas Söderlund
The MAX96712 can support both a CSI-2 C-PHY and D-PHY bus. The initial staging driver however only supported D-PHY and the bus-type property was left optional. In preparation for adding C-PHY support to the staging driver make the bus-type property mandatory as it is needed to select the correct PHY mode. Without the bus-type property present, the driver falls-back to D-PHY mode, so the change is functionally backward compatible with old DTS files lacking the property. The only in-tree DTS file (renesas/r8a779a0-falcon-csi-dsi.dtsi) that lacked the property uses D-PHY and have been updated. The I2C speed on the remote side (the I2C master bus of the connected serializers) is configurable, and doesn't need to match the speed of the local bus (the slave bus of the MAX9286). All remote buses must use the same speed, and the MAX9286 needs to be programmed accordingly. Add a new DT property to select the speed to make it configurable.
