2012-11-26serial: samsung: fix potential soft lockup during uart writeThomas Abraham
Certain tty line discipline implementations such slip and bluetooth hci invoke the serial core uart_write() api in their write_wakeup callback. This leads to a soft lockup with samsung serial driver since the uart port lock is taken in the driver's interrupt handler and uart_write() attempts to take the same lock again. Fix this issue by releasing the uart port lock before the call to uart_write_wakeup() in the tx handler. Also move the spin-lock/unlock sequence from s3c64xx_serial_handle_irq() function into the tx and rx irq handlers so that this change is applicable to s3c24xx platforms as well. 2012-11-26c6x: fix misleading commentMark Salter

2012-11-26USB: OHCI: workaround for hardware bug: retired TDs not added to the Done QueueAlan Stern
This patch (as1636) is a partial workaround for a hardware bug affecting OHCI controllers by NVIDIA at least, maybe others too. When the controller retires a Transfer Descriptor, it is supposed to add the TD onto the Done Queue. But sometimes this doesn't happen, with the result that ohci-hcd never realizes the corresponding transfer has finished. Symptoms can vary; a typical result is that USB audio stops working after a while. The patch works around the problem by recognizing that TDs are always processed in order. Therefore, if a later TD is found on the Done Queue than all the earlier TDs for the same endpoint must be finished as well. Unfortunately this won't solve the problem in cases where the missing TD is the last one in the endpoint's queue. A complete fix would require a signficant amount of change to the driver. The skb->tstamp is set to the hardware timestamp when available in the USB urb message. This leads to user visible timestamps which contain the 'uptime' of the USB adapter - and not the usual system generated timestamp. 2012-11-26mac80211: fix remain-on-channel (non-)cancellingJohannes Berg
Felix Liao reported that when an interface is set DOWN while another interface is executing a ROC, the warning in ieee80211_start_next_roc() (about the first item on the list having started already) triggers. This is because ieee80211_roc_purge() calls it even if it never actually changed the list of ROC items. To fix this, simply remove the function call. If it is needed then it will be done by the ieee80211_sw_roc_work() function when the ROC item that is being removed while active is cleaned up. When a clock, C is initialised any orphan clocks listing C as a possible parent are reparented to it regardless of the parent requested by the orphan's get_parent() operation. This means that multiplexers registered before their parents are reparented to the first parent subsequently declared, regardless of the selection made by the hardware registers. To fix this, when an orphanned clock has a get_parent() operation, only reparent to the clock indicated by get_parent(). Make it possible to ask the routines used for adding/removing devices to/from the general ACPI PM domain, acpi_dev_pm_attach() and acpi_dev_pm_detach(), respectively, to change the power states of devices so that they are put into the full-power state automatically by acpi_dev_pm_attach() and into the lowest-power state available automatically by acpi_dev_pm_detach().
