2013-01-25drm/exynos: fimd and ipp are broken on multiplatformArnd Bergmann
While the exynos DRM support in principle can work on multiplatform, the FIMD and IPP sections of it both include the plat/map-base.h header file, which is not available on multiplatform. Rather than disabling the entire driver, we can just conditionally build these two parts. Without this patch, building allyesconfig results in: drivers/gpu/drm/exynos/exynos_drm_fimc.c:19:27: fatal error: plat/map-base.h: No such file or directory drivers/gpu/drm/exynos/exynos_drm_ipp.c:20:27: fatal error: plat/map-base.h: No such file or directory Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com>
2013-01-25drm/exynos: don't include plat/gpio-cfg.hArnd Bergmann
Patch 9eb3e9e6f3 "drm/exynos: add support for ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM" allowed building the exynos hdmi driver on non-samsung platforms, which unfortunately broke compilation in combination with 22c4f42897 "drm: exynos: hdmi: add support for exynos5 hdmi", which added an inclusion of the samsung-specific plat/gpio-cfg.h header file. Fortunately, that header file is not required any more here, so we can simply revert the inclusion in order to build the ARM allyesconfig again without getting this error: drivers/gpu/drm/exynos/exynos_hdmi.c:37:27: fatal error: plat/gpio-cfg.h: No such file or directory Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com>
2013-01-25drm/exynos: Remove "internal" interrupt handlingSean Paul

2013-01-25drm/exynos: consider DMA_NONE flag to dmabuf importInki Dae
This patch considers DMA_NONE flag for other drivers not using dma mapping framework with iommu such as 3d gpu driver or others. For example, there might be 3d gpu driver that has its own iommu hw unit and iommu table mapping mechnism. So in this case, the dmabuf buffer imported into this driver needs just only sg table to map the buffer with its own iommu table itself. So this patch makes dma_buf_map_attachment ignore dma_map_sg call and just return sg table containing pages if dma_data_direction is DMA_NONE. Signed-off-by: Inki Dae <inki.dae@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com>
2013-01-25drm/exynos: free sg object if dma_map_sg is failedInki Dae
This patch releases sgt's sg object allocated by sgt_alloc_table correctly. When exynos_gem_map_dma_buf was called by dma_buf_map_attachmemt(), the sgt's sg object was allocated by sg_alloc_tale() so if dma_map_sg() is failed, the sg object should be released. 2013-01-25drm/exynos: added validation of edid for vidi connectionSeung-Woo Kim

2013-01-25drm/exynos: let drm handle edid allocationsRahul Sharma
There's no need to allocate edid twice and do a memcpy when drm helpers exist to do just that. This patch cleans that interaction up, and doesn't keep the edid hanging around in the connector. v4: - removed error check for drm_mode_connector_update_edid_property which is expected to fail for Virtual Connectors like VIDI. Thanks to Seung-Woo Kim. v3: - removed MAX_EDID as it is not used anymore. v2: - changed vidi_get_edid callback inside vidi driver. 2013-01-25ARM: mach-shmobile: sh73a0: Initialise MMCIF using DTSimon Horman
This device also requires a voltage regulator which should be defined in a board-specific maner. An example dts snipped follows. / { fixedregulator1v8: fixedregulator@0 { compatible = "regulator-fixed"; regulator-name = "fixed-1.8V"; regulator-min-microvolt = <1800000>; regulator-max-microvolt = <1800000>; }; }; &mmcif { vmmc-supply = <&fixedregulator1v8>; vqmmc-supply = <&fixedregulator1v8>; }; Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
2013-01-25ARM: mach-shmobile: sh73a0: Minimal setup using DTSimon Horman
Allow a minimal setup of the sh73a0 SoC using a flattened device tree. In particular, Configure the i2c controllers using a flattened device tree. SCI serial controller and CMT clock source, whose drivers do not yet support configuration using a flattened device tree, are still configured using C code in order to allow booting of a board with this SoC. *** Please note that the clock initialisation scheme used in this patch does not currently work with SMP as there is a yet to be resolved lock-up in workqueue initialisation. CONFIG_SMP must be disabled when using this code. *** Includes update from Thierry Reding to no longer use gic_handle_irq() Cc: Thierry Reding <thierry.reding@avionic-design.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au> fix
2013-01-25ARM: mach-shmobile: sh73a0: Allow initialisation of GIC by DTSimon Horman
This allows the GIC interrupt controller of the sh73a0 SoC to be initialised using a flattened device tree blob. It does not allow the INTC interrupt controller which is also present on the sh73a0 SoC to be enabled via device tree. Nor does it handle sharing of interrupts between the GIC and INTC interrupt controllers. This limits the usefulness of this code to applications which only wish to access devices which use interrupts that can be handled by the GIC interrupt controller. Other applications should, for now, continue using non-device tree initialisation of the sh72a0 interrupt controllers. Includes update to use irqchip_init() by Thierry Reding Cc: Thierry Reding <thierry.reding@avionic-design.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
2013-01-25ARM: SH-Mobile: sh73a0: Add CPU HotplugBastian Hecht
Add the capability to add and remove CPUs on the fly. The Cortex-A9 offers the possibility to take single cores out of the MP Core. We add this capabilty taking care that caches are kept coherent. For verifying the shutdown we rely on the internal SH73A0 Power Status Register PSTR. Signed-off-by: Bastian Hecht <hechtb+renesas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
2013-01-25ARM: SH-Mobile: sh73a0: Secondary CPUs handle own SCU flagsBastian Hecht
When booting secondary CPUs we have used the main CPU to set up the Snoop Control Unit flags of these CPUs. It is a cleaner approach if every CPU takes care of its own flags. We avoid the need for locking and the program logic is more concise. With this patch the file headsmp-sh73a0.S is added that contains a startup vector for secondary CPUs that sets up its own SCU flags. Further in sh73a0_smp_prepare_cpus() we can rely on the generic ARM helper scu_power_mode(). This is possible as we don't cross borders anymore (every CPU handles its own flags) and need no locking. So we can throw out the needless function modify_scu_cpu_psr(). Signed-off-by: Bastian Hecht <hechtb+renesas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>

2013-01-25ARM: mach-shmobile: sh73a0 external IRQ wake updateMagnus Damm
Use sh73a0_set_wake() for external IRQ signals on sh73a0. The sh73a0 IRQ hardware for external IRQ pins consists of the INTCA interrupt controller and the GIC together doing their best to limp along. These external IRQ pins are treated as a special case where interrupts need to be managed in both interrupt controllers in parallel. The ->irq_set_wake() callback for the external IRQ pins can be dealt with in the same way as INTCA-only without involving the GIC. So this patch updates the external IRQ pin code for sh73a0 to no longer involve the GIC. Signed-off-by: Magnus Damm <damm@opensource.se> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>

2013-01-24Btrfs: fix repeated delalloc work allocationMiao Xie
btrfs_start_delalloc_inodes() locks the delalloc_inodes list, fetches the first inode, unlocks the list, triggers btrfs_alloc_delalloc_work/ btrfs_queue_worker for this inode, and then it locks the list, checks the head of the list again. But because we don't delete the first inode that it deals with before, it will fetch the same inode. As a result, this function allocates a huge amount of btrfs_delalloc_work structures, and OOM happens. Fix this problem by splice this delalloc list. 2013-01-24Btrfs: fix missed transaction->aborted checkMiao Xie
First, though the current transaction->aborted check can stop the commit early and avoid unnecessary operations, it is too early, and some transaction handles don't end, those handles may set transaction->aborted after the check. Second, when we commit the transaction, we will wake up some worker threads to flush the space cache and inode cache. Those threads also allocate some transaction handles and may set transaction->aborted if some serious error happens. So we need more check for ->aborted when committing the transaction. Fix it. 2013-01-24Btrfs: put csums on the right ordered extentJosef Bacik
I noticed a WARN_ON going off when adding csums because we were going over the amount of csum bytes that should have been allowed for an ordered extent. This is a leftover from when we used to hold the csums privately for direct io, but now we use the normal ordered sum stuff so we need to make sure and check if we've moved on to another extent so that the csums are added to the right extent. Without this we could end up with csums for bytenrs that don't have extents to cover them yet. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <jbacik@fusionio.com>

2013-01-24Btrfs: fix panic when recovering tree logJosef Bacik
A user reported a BUG_ON(ret) that occured during tree log replay. Ret was -EAGAIN, so what I think happened is that we removed an extent that covered a bitmap entry and an extent entry. We remove the part from the bitmap and return -EAGAIN and then search for the next piece we want to remove, which happens to be an entire extent entry, so we just free the sucker and return. The problem is ret is still set to -EAGAIN so we trip the BUG_ON(). The user used btrfs-zero-log so I'm not 100% sure this is what happened so I've added a WARN_ON() to catch the other possibility. 2013-01-24Btrfs: do not allow logged extents to be merged or removedJosef Bacik
We drop the extent map tree lock while we're logging extents, so somebody could come in and merge another extent into this one and screw up our logging, or they could even remove us from the list which would keep us from logging the extent or freeing our ref on it, so we need to make sure to not clear LOGGING until after the extent is logged, and then we can merge it to adjacent extents. 2013-01-24x86/msr: Add capabilities checkAlan Cox
At the moment the MSR driver only relies upon file system checks. This means that anything as root with any capability set can write to MSRs. Historically that wasn't very interesting but on modern processors the MSRs are such that writing to them provides several ways to execute arbitary code in kernel space. Sample code and documentation on doing this is circulating and MSR attacks are used on Windows 64bit rootkits already. In the Linux case you still need to be able to open the device file so the impact is fairly limited and reduces the security of some capability and security model based systems down towards that of a generic "root owns the box" setup. Therefore they should require CAP_SYS_RAWIO to prevent an elevation of capabilities. The impact of this is fairly minimal on most setups because they don't have heavy use of capabilities. Those using SELinux, SMACK or AppArmor rules might want to consider if their rulesets on the MSR driver could be tighter. 2013-01-24x86/dma-debug: Bump PREALLOC_DMA_DEBUG_ENTRIESMaarten Lankhorst
I ran out of free entries when I had CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG enabled. Some other archs seem to default to 65536, so increase this limit for x86 too.
