The max5970 datasheet gives the impression that IRQ status bits must
be cleared by writing a one to set bits, as those are marked with 'R/C',
however tests showed that a zero must be written.
Fixes an IRQ storm as the interrupt handler actually clears the IRQ
status bits.

Before this change, the expected size of the user space buffer was
taken from fx_sw->xstate_size. fx_sw->xstate_size can be changed
from user-space, so it is possible construct a sigreturn frame where:
* fx_sw->xstate_size is smaller than the size required by valid bits in
fx_sw->xfeatures.
* user-space unmaps parts of the sigrame fpu buffer so that not all of
the buffer required by xrstor is accessible.
In this case, xrstor tries to restore and accesses the unmapped area
which results in a fault. But fault_in_readable succeeds because buf +
fx_sw->xstate_size is within the still mapped area, so it goes back and
tries xrstor again. It will spin in this loop forever.
Instead, fault in the maximum size which can be touched by XRSTOR (taken
from fpstate->user_size).

Some registers for DDI A/B moved to PICA and now follow the same format
as the ones for the PORT_TC ports. The wrapper here deals with 2 issues:
- Share the implementation between xe2lpd and previous
platforms: there are minor layout changes, it's mostly the
register location that changed
- Handle offsets after TC ports

- Add missing conversions after rebase (Matt Roper)
- Use macro instead of inline function, avoiding includes in the
header (Jani)
- Prefix old macros with underscore so they don't get used by mistake,
and name the new ones using the previous names

Bits to enable/disable and check state for D2D moved from
XELPDP_PORT_BUF_CTL1 to DDI_BUF_CTL (now named DDI_CTL_DE in the spec).
Make the functions mtl_ddi_disable_d2d() and mtl_ddi_enable_d2d generic
to work with multiple reg location and bitfield layout.
v2: Set/Clear XE2LPD_DDI_BUF_D2D_LINK_ENABLE in saved_port_bits when
enabling/disabling D2D so DDI_BUF_CTL is correctly programmed in
other places without overriding these bits (Clint)
v3: Leave saved_port_bits alone as those bits are not meant to be
modified outside of the port initialization. Rather propagate the
additional bit in DDI_BUF_CTL to be set when that register is
written again after D2D is enabled.

When xe2 support started to be added, USM was still not functional. This
has changed, and now USM can be enabled for xe2. Remove FIXME leftover
to allow VM to be created with DRM_XE_VM_CREATE_FLAG_FAULT_MODE.

Session topology: FAILED!
This is because when re-opening the file and parsing the header, Perf
expects that any file that has more than one event has the sample ID
flag set. Perf record already sets the flag in a similar way when there
is more than one event, so add the same logic to evlist__new_default().
evlist__new_default() is only currently used in tests, so I don't
expect this change to have any other side effects. The other tests that
use it don't save and re-open the file so don't hit this issue.
The session topology test has been failing on Arm big.LITTLE platforms
since commit 251aa040244a3b17 ("perf parse-events: Wildcard most
"numeric" events") when evlist__new_default() started opening multiple
events for 'cycles'.

syzbot reported an interesting trace [1] caused by a stale sk->sk_wq
pointer in a closed llc socket.
In commit ff7b11aa481f ("net: socket: set sock->sk to NULL after
calling proto_ops::release()") Eric Biggers hinted that some protocols
are missing a sock_orphan(), we need to perform a full audit.
In net-next, I plan to clear sock->sk from sock_orphan() and
amend Eric patch to add a warning.

Commit 2d071968a405 ("arm64: compat: Remove 32-bit sigreturn code
from the vDSO") removed all VDSO_* symbols in the compat vDSO. As a
result, vdso32-offsets.h is now empty and therefore unused. Time to
remove it.

TSO and TBS cannot coexist. For now we set i.MX Ethernet QOS controller to
use the first TX queue with TSO and the rest for TBS.
TX queues with TBS can support etf qdisc hw offload.

With the dma conf being reallocated on each call to stmmac_open(), any
information in there is lost, unless we specifically handle it.
The STMMAC_TBS_EN bit is set when adding an etf qdisc, and the etf qdisc
therefore would stop working when link was set down and then back up.

Full LTO takes the '-mbranch-protection=none' passed to the compiler
when generating the dynamic shadow call stack patching code as a hint to
stop emitting PAC instructions altogether. (Thin LTO appears unaffected
by this)
Work around this by disabling LTO for the compilation unit, which
appears to convince the linker that it should still use PAC in the rest
of the kernel..

This reverts commit 8c5a19cb17a71e ("arm64: scs: Work around full LTO
issue with dynamic SCS"), which did not quite fix the issue as intended.
Apparently, -fno-unwind-tables is ignored for the final full LTO link
when it is set on any of the objects, resulting in an early boot crash
due to the SCS patching code patching itself, and attempting to pop the
return address from the shadow stack while the associated push was still
a PACIASP instruction when it executed.

On a parisc64 kernel I sometimes notice this kernel warning:
Kernel unaligned access to 0x40ff8814 at ndisc_send_skb+0xc0/0x4d8
The address 0x40ff8814 points to the in6addr_linklocal_allrouters
variable and the warning simply means that some ipv6 function tries to
read a 64-bit word directly from the not-64-bit aligned
in6addr_linklocal_allrouters variable.
Unaligned accesses are non-critical as the architecture or exception
handlers usually will fix it up at runtime. Nevertheless it may trigger
a performance penality for some architectures. For details read the
"unaligned-memory-access" kernel documentation.
The patch below ensures that the ipv6 loopback and router addresses will
always be naturally aligned. This prevents the unaligned accesses for
all architectures.

I mistakenly turned off CONFIG_XFS_RT in the Kconfig file for arm64
variant of the djwong-wtf git branch. Unfortunately, it took me a good
hour to figure out that RT wasn't built because this is what got printed
to dmesg:
XFS (sda2): realtime geometry sanity check failed
XFS (sda2): Metadata corruption detected at xfs_sb_read_verify+0x170/0x190 [xfs], xfs_sb block 0x0
Whereas I would have expected:
XFS (sda2): Not built with CONFIG_XFS_RT
XFS (sda2): RT mount failed
The root cause of these problems is the conditional compilation of the
new functions xfs_validate_rtextents and xfs_compute_rextslog that I
introduced in the two commits listed below. The !RT versions of these
functions return false and 0, respectively, which causes primary
superblock validation to fail, which explains the first message.
Move the two functions to other parts of libxfs that are not
conditionally defined by CONFIG_XFS_RT and remove the broken stubs so
that validation works again.

Modern OSes use iptables implementation with nf_tables as a backend,
e.g.:

Pablo points out that we need CONFIG_NFT_COMPAT to make that work,

When working with GPIO, its direction must be set either when the GPIO is
requested by gpiod_get*() or later on by one of the gpiod_direction_*()
functions. Neither of this is done here which results in undefined
behavior on some systems.
As the reset GPIO is used right after it is requested here, it makes sense
to configure it as GPIOD_OUT_HIGH right away. With that, the following
gpiod_set_value_cansleep(1) becomes redundant and can be safely
removed.

The PCI AER model is an awkward fit for CXL error handling. While the
expectation is that a PCI device can escalate to link reset to recover
from an AER event, the same reset on CXL amounts to a surprise memory
hotplug of massive amounts of memory.
At present, the CXL error handler attempts some optimistic error
handling to unbind the device from the cxl_mem driver after reaping some
RAS register values. This results in a "hopeful" attempt to unplug the
memory, but there is no guarantee that will succeed.
A subsequent AER notification after the memdev unbind event can no
longer assume the registers are mapped. Check for memdev bind before
reaping status register values to avoid crashes of the form:

[why]
In current code, we recognize a pipe as a phantom pipe if it references
the same phantom stream. However it can also a phantom split pipe.
If the phantom split pipe has a smaller pipe index than the phantom pipe
we will mistakenly use the phantom split pipe as the phantom pipe. This
causes an incorrect subvp configuration where the first half of the
screen is flashing solid white image.
[how]
Add additional check that the pipe needs to be an OTG master pipe.

[why]
MAX_SURFACES is per stream, while MAX_PLANES is per asic. The
mpc_combine is an array that records all the planes per asic. Therefore
MAX_PLANES should be used as the array size. Using MAX_SURFACES causes
array overflow when there are more than 3 planes.
[how]
Use the MAX_PLANES for the mpc_combine array size.

[Why]
Previous patch to allow DTBCLK disable didn't address boot case. Driver
thinks DTBCLK is disabled by default, so we don't send disable message to
PMFW. DTBCLK is then enabled at idle desktop on boot, burning power.
[How]
Set dtbclk_en to true on boot so that disable message is sent during first
commit.

[Why]
fix reading edp rx crc timeout failure. after
bootup, kernel setup psr with dpcd 0x170 = 5. this
notify rx psr enable and let rx fw start checking crc
for fw internal logic. rx fw may not update crc read
count within dpcd 0x246. read count is always 0. this
will lead tx crc reading timeout.
[How]
add debugfs to let test app to disbable rx crc
checking for rx internal logic. then test app can read
rx crc dpcd 0x246 successfully.
expected app sequence is as below:
1. disable eDP PHY and notify eDP rx with dpcd 0x600 = 2.
2. echo 0x1 /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/eDP-X/disallow_edp_enter_psr
3. enable eDP PHY and notify eDP rx with dpcd 0x600 = 1 but
without dpcd 0x170 = 5.
4. read crc from rx dpcd 0x270, 0x246, etc.
5. echo 0x0 /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/eDP-X/disallow_edp_enter_psr.
this will let eDP back to normal with psr setup dpcd 0x170 = 5.

[Why & How]
For FPO and SubVP/DRR cases we need to ensure to program
OTG_V_TOTAL_MIN/MAX_SEL, otherwise stretching the vblank
in FPO / SubVP / DRR cases will not have any effect
and we could hit underflow / corruption.
