Replace <linux/fb.h> with a forward declaration in <asm/backlight.h> to
resolve an unnecessary dependency. Remove pmac_backlight_curve_lookup()
and struct fb_info from source and header files. The function and the
framebuffer struct are unused. No functional changes.

This is a long-standing issue that uninterruptible sleep in fanotify
could make system hibernation fail if the usperspace server gets frozen
before the process waiting for the response (as reported e.g. [1][2]).
A few years ago, there was an attempt to switch to interruptible sleep
while waiting [3], but that would lead to EINTR returns from open(2)
and break userspace [4], so it's been changed to only killable [5].
And the core freezer logic had been rewritten [6][7] in v6.1, allowing
freezing in uninterrupted sleep, so we can solve this problem now.

Improvements:
* Add instructions for installing required software on Arch Linux.
Fixes:
* Move a 'git remote add -t master stable [...]' from a totally wrong
to the right place.
* Fix two anchors.
* Add two required packages to the openSUSE install instructions.
Fine tuning:
* Improve the reference section about downloading Linux mainline sources
to make it more obvious that those are alternatives.
* Include the full instructions for git bundles to ensure the remote
gets the right name; that way the text also works stand alone.
* Install ncurses and qt headers for use of menuconfig and xconfig by
default, but tell users that they are free to omit them.
* Mention ahead of time which version number are meant as example in
commands used during the step-by-step guide.
* Mention that 'kernel-install remove' might do a incomplete job.

When auxiliary_device_add() returns error and then calls
auxiliary_device_uninit(), Callback function pdsc_auxbus_dev_release
calls kfree(padev) to free memory. We shouldn't call kfree(padev)
again in the error handling path.
Fix this by cleaning up the redundant kfree() and putting
the error handling back to where the errors happened.

As TOP_OF_KERNEL_STACK_PADDING was defined as 0 on x86_64, it went
unnoticed that the initialization of the .sp field in INIT_THREAD and some
calculations in the low level startup code do not take the padding into
account.
FRED enabled kernels require a 16 byte padding, which means that the init
task initialization and the low level startup code use the wrong stack
offset.
Subtract TOP_OF_KERNEL_STACK_PADDING in all affected places to adjust for
this.

Because sandboxing can be used as an opportunistic security measure,
user space may not log unsupported features. Let the system
administrator know if an application tries to use Landlock but failed
because it isn't enabled at boot time. This may be caused by boot
loader configurations with outdated "lsm" kernel's command-line
parameter.

The hwdb selection logic as a feature that allows it to mark some fields
as 'don't care'. If we match with such a field we memcpy(..)
the current etnaviv_chip_identity into ident.
This step can overwrite some id values read from the GPU with the
'don't care' value.
Fix this issue by restoring the affected values after the memcpy(..).
As this is crucial for user space to know when this feature works as
expected increment the minor version too.

Chandan reported a AGI/AGF lock order hang on xfs/168 during recent
testing. The cause of the problem was the task running xfs_growfs
to shrink the filesystem. A failure occurred trying to remove the
free space from the btrees that the shrink would make disappear,
and that meant it ran the error handling for a partial failure.
This error path involves restoring the per-ag block reservations,
and that requires calculating the amount of space needed to be
reserved for the free inode btree. The growfs operation hung here:

trying to get the AGI lock. The AGI lock was held by a fstress task
trying to do an inode allocation, and it was waiting on the AGF
lock to allocate a new inode chunk on disk. Hence deadlock.
The fix for this is for the growfs code to hold the AGI over the
transaction roll it does in the error path. It already holds the AGF
locked across this, and that is what causes the lock order inversion
in the xfs_ag_resv_init() call.

There's no need to set bl->props.brightness, the get_brightness function
is just supposed to return the current brightness and not touch the
struct.
With that done we can also remove the 'goto out' and just return the
value.

using, otherwise there will be some random values in the struct.

props is stack allocated and, although this driver initializes all the
fields that are not "owned" by the framework, we'd still like to ensure
it is zeroed to avoid problems from this driver if the fields change.

Bjorn is no longer at Linaro. Update his email address to @kernel to
match the .mailmap entry.
The servers for @codeaurora are long retired and messages sent there
will bounce. Update Kiran's email address to match the .mailmap entry.
