New drivers:
- New driver for Renesas R8A779H0 also known as R-Car V4M.
- New driver for the Awinic AW9523/B I2C GPIO expander. I found this
living out-of-tree in OpenWrt as an upstream attempt had stalled on
the finishing line, so I picked it up and finished the job.
Improvements:
- The Nomadik pin control driver was for years re-used out of tree
for the ST STA chips, and now the IP was re-used in a MIPS
automotive SoC called MobilEyeq5, so it has been split in pin
control and GPIO drivers so the latter can be reused by MobilEyeq5.

Fix a bug where nilfs_get_block() returns a successful status when
searching and inserting the specified block both fail inconsistently. If
this inconsistent behavior is not due to a previously fixed bug, then an
unexpected race is occurring, so return a temporary error -EAGAIN instead.
This prevents callers such as __block_write_begin_int() from requesting a
read into a buffer that is not mapped, which would cause the BUG_ON check
for the BH_Mapped flag in submit_bh_wbc() to fail.

Patch series "nilfs2: fix kernel bug at submit_bh_wbc()".
This resolves a kernel BUG reported by syzbot. Since there are two
flaws involved, I've made each one a separate patch.
The first patch alone resolves the syzbot-reported bug, but I think
both fixes should be sent to stable, so I've tagged them as such.
This patch (of 2):
Syzbot has reported a kernel bug in submit_bh_wbc() when writing file data
to a nilfs2 file system whose metadata is corrupted.
There are two flaws involved in this issue.
The first flaw is that when nilfs_get_block() locates a data block using
btree or direct mapping, if the disk address translation routine
nilfs_dat_translate() fails with internal code -ENOENT due to DAT metadata
corruption, it can be passed back to nilfs_get_block(). This causes
nilfs_get_block() to misidentify an existing block as non-existent,
causing both data block lookup and insertion to fail inconsistently.
The second flaw is that nilfs_get_block() returns a successful status in
this inconsistent state. This causes the caller __block_write_begin_int()
or others to request a read even though the buffer is not mapped,
resulting in a BUG_ON check for the BH_Mapped flag in submit_bh_wbc()
failing.
This fixes the first issue by changing the return value to code -EINVAL
when a conversion using DAT fails with code -ENOENT, avoiding the
conflicting condition that leads to the kernel bug described above. Here,
code -EINVAL indicates that metadata corruption was detected during the
block lookup, which will be properly handled as a file system error and
converted to -EIO when passing through the nilfs2 bmap layer.

For special files in S_IFBLK/S_IFCHR/S_IFIFO type, we already have
ocfs2_setattr and ocfs2_getattr enabled. It's confusing for user space if
it can use setattr/getattr to control one attribute appointed but can not
list attributes using listxattr for above type files:
$ mknod /mnt/b b 0 0
$ setfattr -h -n trusted.name -v 0xbabe /mnt/b
$ getfattr -n trusted.name /mnt/b
getfattr: Removing leading '/' from absolute path names
trusted.name=0sur4=
$ getfattr -m trusted /mnt/b
$
Fix it by enabling ocfs2_listxattr for ocfs2_special_file_iops. After the
commit, fstests/generic/062 will pass.

The root cause is: in f2fs_filemap_fault(), vmf->vma may be not alive after
filemap_fault(), so it may cause use-after-free issue when accessing
vmf->vma->vm_flags in trace_f2fs_filemap_fault(). So it needs to keep vm_flags
in separated temporary variable for tracepoint use.

In f2fs_do_write_data_page, FI_ATOMIC_FILE flag selects the target inode
between the original inode and COW inode. When aborting atomic write and

On riscv it is guaranteed that the address returned by mmap is less than
the hint address. Allow mmap to return an address all the way up to
addr, if provided, rather than just up to the lower address space.
This provides a performance benefit as well, allowing mmap to exit after
checking that the address is in range rather than searching for a valid
address.
It is possible to provide an address that uses at most the same number
of bits, however it is significantly more computationally expensive to
provide that number rather than setting the max to be the hint address.
There is the instruction clz/clzw in Zbb that returns the highest set bit
which could be used to performantly implement this, but it would still
be slower than the current implementation. At worst case, half of the
address would not be able to be allocated when a hint address is
provided.

Passing a NULL buffer into the lsm_get_self_attr() syscall is a valid
way to quickly determine the minimum size of the buffer needed to for
the syscall to return all of the LSM attributes to the caller.
Unfortunately we/I broke that behavior in commit d7cf3412a9f6

such that it returned an error to the caller; this patch restores the
original desired behavior of using the NULL buffer as a quick way to

Bspec mentions 50 us for IO wake time and 32 us for fast wake time. 32 us
is most probably wrong as it doesn't meet the specification as fast wake
time is calculated in Bspec like this:
10..16 us (precharge) + 8 us (preamble) + 4 us (phy_wake) + 20 us
(tfw_exit_latency)
Instead of using these constants calculate IO wake and fast wake for

This reverts commit ed00a6945dc32462c2d3744a3518d2316da66fcc,
which added a quirk entry to enable the Yellow Carp (YC)
driver for the Lenovo 21J2 laptop.
Although the microphone functioned with the YC driver, it
resulted in incorrect driver usage. The Lenovo 21J2 is not a
Yellow Carp platform, but a Pink Sardine platform, which
already has an upstreamed driver.
The microphone on the Lenovo 21J2 operates correctly with the
CONFIG_SND_SOC_AMD_PS flag enabled and does not require the
quirk entry. So this patch removes the quirk entry.

After commit cff49d58f57e ("spi: Unify error codes by replacing -ENOTSUPP with
-EOPNOTSUPP"), our SPI NOR flashes would stop probing with the following
visible in the kernel log:
[ 2.196300] brcmstb_qspi f0440920.qspi: using bspi-mspi mode
[ 2.210295] spi-nor: probe of spi1.0 failed with error -95
It turns out that the check in spi_mem_exec_op() was changed to check
for -ENOTSUPP (old error code) or -EOPNOTSUPP (new error code), but this
means that for drivers that were converted, the second condition is now
true, and we stop falling through like we used to. Fix the error to
check for neither error being neither -ENOTSUPP *nor* -EOPNOTSUPP.

Sometimes generic/011 causes kafs to follow up an FS.RemoveDir RPC call by
spending around a second sending a slew of FS.FetchStatus RPC calls to the
directory just deleted that then abort with VNOVNODE, indicating deletion
of the target directory.
This seems to stem from userspace attempting to stat the directory or
something in it:
afs_select_fileserver+0x46d/0xaa2
afs_wait_for_operation+0x12/0x17e
afs_fetch_status+0x56/0x75
afs_validate+0xfb/0x240
afs_permission+0xef/0x1b0
inode_permission+0x90/0x139
link_path_walk.part.0.constprop.0+0x6f/0x2f0
path_lookupat+0x4c/0xfa
filename_lookup+0x63/0xd7
vfs_statx+0x62/0x13f
vfs_fstatat+0x72/0x8a
The issue appears to be that afs_dir_remove_subdir() marks the callback
promise as being cancelled by setting the expiry time to AFS_NO_CB_PROMISE
- which then confuses afs_validate() which sends the FetchStatus to try and
get a new one before it checks for the AFS_VNODE_DELETED flag which
indicates that we know the directory got deleted.
Fix this by:
(1) Make afs_check_validity() return true if AFS_VNODE_DELETED is set, and
then tweak the return from afs_validate() if the DELETED flag is set.
(2) Move the AFS_VNODE_DELETED check in afs_validate() up above the
expiration check to immediately after we've grabbed the validate_lock.

This reverts commit 57e9d49c54528c49b8bffe6d99d782ea051ea534.
This undoes the hiding of .__afsXXXX silly-rename files. The problem with
hiding them is that rm can't then manually delete them.
This also reverts commit 5f7a07646655fb4108da527565dcdc80124b14c4 ("afs: Fix
endless loop in directory parsing") as that's a bugfix for the above.

syzbot reported a warning in sk_nulls_del_node_init_rcu().
The commit 66b60b0c8c4a ("dccp/tcp: Unhash sk from ehash for tb2 alloc
failure after check_estalblished().") tried to fix an issue that an
unconnected socket occupies an ehash entry when bhash2 allocation fails.
In such a case, we need to revert changes done by check_established(),
which does not hold refcnt when inserting socket into ehash.
So, to revert the change, we need to __sk_nulls_add_node_rcu() instead
of sk_nulls_add_node_rcu().
Otherwise, sock_put() will cause refcnt underflow and leak the socket.

The driver currently waits 1ms for idle patterns,
but for Xe2LPD and possibly future display IPs,
it requires a 1640us (rounded up to 2ms) timeout
whilst waiting for idle patterns for MST streams.
To simplify the code, the timeout is uniformly
increased by 1ms across all platforms/display IPs.
v1: Introduced the 2ms wait timeout.
v2: Segregated the wait timeout for platforms before & after LNL.
v3: Fixed 2 cosmetic changes.
v4: Revert to v2 design with commit message enhancements.
v5: Minor cosmetic changes to the commit message.

WiFi 2x2 + BT combo cards can be two or three physical antenna. For two
antenna case, one antenna is shared by WiFi and BT, and different
configuration should be applied. Fix the typo.
This problem was found by Coccicheck, and actually that is a typo instead:

This reverts commit 8a08c5fd89b447a7de7eb293a7a274c46b932ba2.
It turns out while this is a perfectly valid and long overdue thing to do
for user initiated discards / zeroing from the ioctl handler, it actually
breaks file system use of the discard helper by interrupting in places
the file system doesn't expect, and by leaving the bio chain in a state
that the file system callers of (at least) __blkdev_issue_discard do
not expect.
Revert the change for now, we'll redo it for the next merge window
after refactoring the code to better split the file system vs ioctl
callers and cleaning up a few other loose ends.
