2013-06-19ARM: S3C24XX: update uart addresses in s3c2416-dt auxdataHeiko Stuebner
Commit 9ee51f01eee8 (tty: serial/samsung: make register definitions global) removed the S3C2410_PA_UARTX defines that the newly merged s3c2416 dt support still expected. So update mach-s3c2416-dt.c to use the S3C24XX_PA_UART constant until we have support for the common clock framework the the s3c2416-dt. 2013-06-19ARM: S5P64X0: Use common uncompress.h part for plat-samsungTomasz Figa
Since uart_base can be set dynamically in arch_detect_cpu(), there is no need to have a copy of all code locally, just to override UART base address. This patch removes any duplicate code in uncompress.h variant of s5p64x0 and implements proper arch_detect_cpu() function to initialize UART with SoC-specific parameters. While at it, replace hard-coded register address with macro. 2013-06-19ARM: SAMSUNG: Consolidate uncompress subroutineTushar Behera
For mach-exynos, uart_base is a pointer and the value is calculated in the machine folder. For other machines, uart_base is defined as a macro in platform directory. For symmetry, the uart_base macro definition is removed and the uart_base calculation is moved to specific machine folders. This would help us consolidating uncompress subroutine for s5p64x0. 2013-06-18PCI/IA64: embed pci hostbridge resources into pci_root_infoYijing Wang
Currently, pcibios_resource_to_bus() and pcibios_bus_to_resource() functions use pci_host_bridge to translate bus side address from/to cpu side address. The pci_window in pci_controller never be used again. So we remove pci_window in pci_controller and embed hostbridge resource into pci_root_info. 2013-06-18range: Do not add new blank slot with add_range_with_mergeYinghai Lu
Joshua reported: Commit cd7b304dfaf1 (x86, range: fix missing merge during add range) broke mtrr cleanup on his setup in 3.9.5. corresponding commit in upstream is fbe06b7bae7c. The reason is add_range_with_merge could generate blank spot. We could avoid that by searching new expanded start/end, that new range should include all connected ranges in range array. At last add the new expanded start/end to the range array. Also move up left array so do not add new blank slot in the range array. -v2: move left array to avoid enhance add_range() -v3: include fix from Joshua about memmove declaring when DYN_DEBUG is used. 2013-06-18x86, mtrr: Fix original mtrr range get for mtrr_cleanupYinghai Lu
Joshua reported: Commit cd7b304dfaf1 (x86, range: fix missing merge during add range) broke mtrr cleanup on his setup in 3.9.5. corresponding commit in upstream is fbe06b7bae7c. *BAD*gran_size: 64K chunk_size: 16M num_reg: 6 lose cover RAM: -0G https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59491 So it rejects new var mtrr layout. It turns out we have some problem with initial mtrr range retrieval. The current sequence is: x86_get_mtrr_mem_range ==> bunchs of add_range_with_merge ==> bunchs of subract_range ==> clean_sort_range add_range_with_merge for [0,1M) sort_range() add_range_with_merge could have blank slots, so we can not just sort only, that will have final result have extra blank slot in head. So move that calling add_range_with_merge for [0,1M), with that we could avoid extra clean_sort_range calling. When the race happens, vfs will see some dentries with non-zero refcnt while umount is in process. Keep running this: mount -t cgroup -o blkio xxx /cgroup umount /cgroup And this: modprobe cfq-iosched rmmod cfs-iosched After a while, the BUG() in shrink_dcache_for_umount_subtree() may be triggered: BUG: Dentry xxx{i=0,n=blkio.yyy} still in use (1) [umount of cgroup cgroup] Signed-off-by: Li Zefan <lizefan@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Tejun Heo <tj@kernel.org> Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org
2013-06-18Revert "i2c: core: make it possible to match a pure device tree driver"Wolfram Sang
This reverts commit c80f52847c50109ca248c22efbf71ff10553dca4. Regressions have been found and also run time based instantiation would fail. We need more thoughts on this. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-06-19ARM: dts: Set BUCK7 as always on for Origen boardTushar Behera
The LDO for LCD driver is currently not handled by any of the drivers. This disables the LDO during booting time. To fix this, the LDO is forced to enabled always. 2013-06-19ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable GPIO buttons and RTC driversTushar Behera
Many of the boards use GPIO-mapped buttons for generic input. For Arndale board, these buttons also serve as wakeup source. And the issues reported in commit 522ccdb6fd0e ("ARM: dts: Disable the RTC by default on exynos5") are no longer reproduced on EXYNOS5250 based systems. Hence it would be better to re-enable RTC support for EXYNOS5250.
