2013-08-26cgroup: make cgroup_css() take cgroup_subsys * instead and allow NULL subsysTejun Heo
cgroup_css() is no longer used in hot paths. Make it take struct cgroup_subsys * and allow the users to specify NULL subsys to obtain the dummy_css. This removes open-coded NULL subsystem testing in a couple users and generally simplifies the code. After this patch, css_from_dir() also allows NULL @ss and returns the matching dummy_css. 2013-08-26cgroup: rename cgroup_css_from_dir() to css_from_dir() and update its syntaxTejun Heo
cgroup_css_from_dir() will grow another user. In preparation, make the following changes. * All css functions are prefixed with just "css_", rename it to css_from_dir(). * Take dentry * instead of file * as dentry is what ultimately identifies a cgroup and file may not always be available. Note that the function now checkes whether @dentry->d_inode is NULL as the caller now may specify a negative dentry. * Make it take cgroup_subsys * instead of integer subsys_id. This simplifies the function and allows specifying no subsystem for cgroup->dummy_css. * Make return section a bit less verbose. This patch doesn't introduce any behavior changes. This patch adds support for rewriting SCTP src,dst ports similar to the functionality already available for TCP/UDP. Rewriting SCTP ports is expensive due to double-recalculation of the SCTP checksums; this is performed to ensure that packets traversing OVS with invalid checksums will continue to the destination with any checksum corruption intact. 2013-08-26PCI: Warn if unsafe MPS settings detectedYijing Wang
If a BIOS configures MPS incorrectly, devices may not work normally. For example, if a bridge has MPS set larger than an endpoint below it, the endpoint may discard packets. To help diagnose this issue, print a warning if we find an endpoint MPS setting different than that of the upstream bridge. Occassionally events (e.g., context-switch, sched tracepoints) are losing the conversion of sample data associated with a thread. The last line lost the conversion from tid to comm. When the SAMPLE event is processed no thread exists for the pid so a new one is created by machine__findnew_thread. This patch address the problem by delaying the move to the dead_threads list until the tid is re-used (per Adrian's suggestion). The macb driver only handle PHY description through platform_data (macb_platform_data). Thus, when using dt you cannot define phy properties like phy address or phy irq pin. This patch makes use of the of_mdiobus_register to add support for phy device definition using dt. A fallback to the autoscan procedure is added in case there is no phy devices defined in dt. It is unsafe to call list_for_each_entry in hidraw_report_event to traverse each hidraw_list node without a lock protection, the list could be modified if someone calls hidraw_release and list_del to remove itself from the list, this can cause hidraw_report_event to touch a deleted list struct and panic. The PCIE Workaround register (AR_WA/0x4004) is used to handle various hardware quirks. For AR9002 chips, AR_WA_D3_L1_DISABLE is used to prevent the HW from automatically entering L1 state when D3 is enforced. We have usb_deregister() call in our rmmod routine. deauth, shutdown etc. commands will be sent to FW later when bus driver calls disconnect handler. This mechanism works fine with SDIO and PCIe interfaces, but there is an issue with USB. USB bus driver returns all URBs submitted for receiving data and command response immediately after usb_deregister() with failure status. Hence we don't send deauth, shutdown etc. command to firmware. The problem is fixed by moving code from disconnect handler to rmmod routine for USB interface. This PCIe controller does not support a max read request size above 128 bytes. The sold card I tested this controller with used 128 as default value, but some new routers are sold with BCM4331 chips, which have a default max read request size of 512. This device fails at the first DMA reqeust whch is bigger than 126 bytes. This patch changes the max read request size to 128 for every device on the PCIe link. The HW_BEACON_BASE() macro returns the base address of a given beacon, however the returned values are not usable on all chipsets. On devices which have selectable shared memory parts, some beacon may be located in the high part of the shared memory. Instead of extending the already complicated macro, add a new helper function and use that to get the base address of a given beacon. The actual patch contains no functional changes, the helper function will be extended in a further patch to handle different chipsets' requirements.
