Add support for FATSOv2 to the driver. FATSOv2 offloads far more of the task
of TCP segmentation to the firmware, such that we now just pass a single
super-packet to the NIC. This means TSO has a great deal in common with a
normal DMA transmit, apart from adding a couple of option descriptors.
NIC-specific checks have been moved off the fast path and in to
initialisation where possible.
This also moves FATSOv1/SWTSO to a new file (tx_tso.c). The end of transmit
and some error handling is now outside TSO, since it is common with other
code.

"These are hopefully the last GPIO fixes for v4.9. The most important
is that it fixes the UML randconfig builds that have been nagging me
for some time and me being confused about where the problem was really
sitting, now this fix give this nice feeling that everything is solid
and builds fine.
Summary:
- Finally, after being puzzled by a bunch of recurrent UML build
failures on randconfigs from the build robot, Keno Fischer nailed
it: GPIO_DEVRES is optional and depends on HAS_IOMEM even though
many users just unconditionally rely on it to be available. And it
*should* be available: garbage collection is nice for this and it
*certainly* has nothing to do with having IOMEM. So we got rid of
it, and now the UML builds should JustWork(TM).
- Do not call .get_direction() on sleeping GPIO chips on the fastpath
when locking GPIOs for interrupts: it is done from atomic context,
no way.

Make struct pernet_operations::id unsigned.
There are 2 reasons to do so:
1)
This field is really an index into an zero based array and
thus is unsigned entity. Using negative value is out-of-bound
access by definition.
2)
On x86_64 unsigned 32-bit data which are mixed with pointers
via array indexing or offsets added or subtracted to pointers
are preffered to signed 32-bit data.
"int" being used as an array index needs to be sign-extended
to 64-bit before being used.

MOVSX is 3 byte instruction which isn't necessary if the variable is
unsigned because x86_64 is zero extending by default.
Now, there is net_generic() function which, you guessed it right, uses
"int" as an array index:

And this function is used a lot, so those sign extensions add up.
Patch snipes ~1730 bytes on allyesconfig kernel (without all junk
messing with code generation):

Unfortunately some functions actually grow bigger.
This is a semmingly random artefact of code generation with register
allocator being used differently. gcc decides that some variable
needs to live in new r8+ registers and every access now requires REX
prefix. Or it is shifted into r12, so [r12+0] addressing mode has to be
used which is longer than [r8]
However, overall balance is in negative direction:

UDP busy polling is restricted to connected UDP sockets.
This is because sk_busy_loop() only takes care of one NAPI context.
There are cases where it could be extended.
1) Some hosts receive traffic on a single NIC, with one RX queue.
2) Some applications use SO_REUSEPORT and associated BPF filter
to split the incoming traffic on one UDP socket per RX
queue/thread/cpu
3) Some UDP sockets are used to send/receive traffic for one flow, but
they do not bother with connect()
This patch records the napi_id of first received skb, giving more
reach to busy polling.

Recently algif_hash has been changed to allow null hashes. This
triggers a bug when used with an shash algorithm whereby it will
cause a crash during the digest operation.
This patch fixes it by avoiding the digest operation and instead
doing an init followed by a final which avoids the buggy code in
shash.
This patch also ensures that the result buffer is freed after an
error so that it is not returned as a genuine hash result on the
next recv call.
The shash/ahash wrapper code will be fixed later to handle this
case correctly.

Since commit 87a18a6a5652 ("mmc: mmc: Use ->card_busy() to detect busy
cards in __mmc_switch()") the ESDHC driver is broken:
mmc0: Card stuck in programming state! __mmc_switch
mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising MMC card
Since this commit __mmc_switch() uses ->card_busy(), which is
sdhci_card_busy() for the esdhc driver. sdhci_card_busy() uses the
PRESENT_STATE register, specifically the DAT0 signal level bit. But the
ESDHC uses a non-conformant PRESENT_STATE register, thus a read fixup is
required to make the driver work again.

We did not implement an irq_cpu_offline callback for our irqchip, yet we
support setting a given IRQ's affinity. This resulted in interrupts
whose affinity mask included CPUs being taken offline not to work
correctly once the CPU had been put offline.

Properly check the return code of ffs_func_revmap_intf() and
ffs_func_revmap_ep() for a non-negative value.
Instead of checking the return code, the comparison was performed for the last
parameter of the function calls, because of wrong parenthesis.
This also fixes the following static checker warning:

The cleanup_if() callback is the inverse of init_if(). We allocate our
'card' interface structure in the probe() function, but we free it in
cleanup_if(). That gives a few problems:
(a) we leak this memory if probe() fails before we reach init_if()
(b) we can't safely utilize 'card' after cleanup_if() -- namely, in
remove() or suspend(), both of which might race with the cleanup
paths in our asynchronous FW initialization path
Solution: just use devm_kzalloc(), which will free this structure
properly when the device is removed -- and drop the set_drvdata(...,
NULL), since the driver core does this for us. This also removes the
temptation to use drvdata == NULL as a hack for checking if the device
has been "cleaned up."
I *do* leave the set_drvdata(..., NULL) for the hacky SDIO
mwifiex_recreate_adapter(), since the device core won't be able to clear
that one for us.

In preparation for removing the idle_notifier, remove its only user, the
i7300_idle driver.
i7300_idle was deployed in 2008 to reduce idle memory power on systems
using the i7300 chipset. The driver worked by throttling the
fully-buffered DIMMs during idle periods using the IOAT DMA engine.
The driver ran only on the i7300 chip-set, and no other hardware has used
this mechanism. The driver no longer has a maintainer.
Removing this driver will increase idle power on i7300 systems when they
run the new kernel without the driver.

KVM calls kvm_pmu_set_counter_event_type() when PMCCFILTR is configured.
But this function can't deals with PMCCFILTR correctly because the evtCount
bits of PMCCFILTR, which is reserved 0, conflits with the SW_INCR event
type of other PMXEVTYPER<n> registers. To fix it, when eventsel == 0, this
function shouldn't return immediately; instead it needs to check further
if select_idx is ARMV8_PMU_CYCLE_IDX.
Another issue is that KVM shouldn't copy the eventsel bits of PMCCFILTER
blindly to attr.config. Instead it ought to convert the request to the
"cpu cycle" event type (i.e. 0x11).
To support this patch and to prevent duplicated definitions, a limited
set of ARMv8 perf event types were relocated from perf_event.c to
asm/perf_event.h.

This patch enables perf core PMU support for the new AMD family-17h processors.
In family-17h, there is no PMC-event constraint. All events, irrespective of
the type, can be measured using any of the six generic performance counters.

So far Thunderbolt is (unfortunately) an Intel proprietary technology
that is only available on x86, so compiling on other arches is pointless
except for testing purposes. Amend Kconfig accordingly.

Since commit c9cc3aaa0281 ("thunderbolt: Use Device ROM retrieved from
EFI"), the THUNDERBOLT config option selects APPLE_PROPERTIES.
This broke the build for certain configs because APPLE_PROPERTIES is
located in a menu which depends on EFI: If EFI is not enabled, the
prerequisites needed for APPLE_PROPERTIES are not selected: Those are
EFI_DEV_PATH_PARSER and UCS2_STRING. Additionally EFI_DEV_PATH_PARSER
won't compile unless ACPI is enabled.
Commit 79f9cd35b05e ("thunderbolt, efi: Fix Kconfig dependencies")
sought to fix the breakage by making THUNDERBOLT select APPLE_PROPERTIES
only if EFI_STUB is enabled. On x86, EFI_STUB depends on EFI and EFI
depends on ACPI, so this fixed the build at least on this architecture.
However on arm and arm64, EFI_STUB does not depend on EFI, so once again
the prerequisites needed for APPLE_PROPERTIES are not selected.
Additionally ACPI is not available on arm and optional on arm64,
therefore EFI_DEV_PATH_PARSER won't compile.
Fix by selecting APPLE_PROPERTIES only on x86.

It's possible to make scanning consume almost arbitrary amounts
of memory, e.g. by sending beacon frames with random BSSIDs at
high rates while somebody is scanning.
Limit the number of BSS table entries we're willing to cache to
1000, limiting maximum memory usage to maybe 4-5MB, but lower
in practice - that would be the case for having both full-sized
beacon and probe response frames for each entry; this seems not
possible in practice, so a limit of 1000 entries will likely be
closer to 0.5 MB.

if we succeed grabbing the refcount, then
if (err && !xfrm_pol_hold_rcu)
will evaluate to false so this hits last else branch which then
sets policy to ERR_PTR(0).

Commit 540eb1eef0ab ("scsi: libfc: fix seconds_since_last_reset calculation")
removed the use of 'struct timespec' from fc_get_host_stats(). This broke the
output of 'fcoeadm -s' after kernel 4.8-rc1.

Fixes for omaps for v4.9-rc cycle. Except for the omap3 fix for the SoC
features printed, all these are quite trivial and tiny. The omap5 jack
detection and gpadc patches are not strictly fixes, but I wanted to get
binding document typo fixed before it pops up on other boards. The
gpadc one liner was in the same series and I applied and pushed it out
already before noticing it could have waited. The list of changes is:
- Fix omap3 SoC features printed
- Make sure OMAP_INTERCONNECT is selected for am43xx only configurations
- Add missing memory node for torpedo
- Initialize uart4_mask properly to avoid writing garbage to PRM registers

The Aspeed SoCs have two BT interfaces : one is IPMI compliant and the
other is H8S/2168 compliant.
The current ipmi/bt-bmc driver implements the IPMI version and we
should reflect its nature in the compatible node name using
'aspeed,ast2400-ibt-bmc' instead of 'aspeed,ast2400-bt-bmc'. The
latter should be used for a H8S interface driver if it is implemented
one day.

"First round of -rc fixes.
Due to various issues, I've been away and couldn't send a pull request
for about three weeks. There were a number of -rc patches that built
up in the meantime (some where there already from the early -rc
stages). Obviously, there were way too many to send now, so I tried to
pare the list down to the more important patches for the -rc cycle.
Most of the code has had plenty of soak time at the various vendor's
testing setups, so I doubt there will be another -rc pull request this
cycle. I also tried to limit the patches to those with smaller
footprints, so even though a shortlog is longer than I would like, the
actual diffstat is mostly very small with the exception of just three
files that had more changes, and a couple files with pure removals.

Another step in supporting cross annotation.
The arch specific tables are put in:
tools/perf/arch/$ARCH/annotation/instructions.c
which, so far, just plug instructions to a bunch of parsers/formatters,
but may have more as the need arises.
This is an alternative implementation to a previous attempt made by Ravi
Bangoria.

This is to cope with an ARM specific kludge introduced in the original
patch supporting ARM annotation, cfef25b8daf7 ("perf annotate: ARM
support") that made functions with a '+' in its name to be skipped when
processing call instructions.
With this patchkit it should be possible to collect a perf.data file on
a ARM machine and then annotate it on a x86 workstation and have those
ARM kludges used.

Introduce a 'struct arch', where arch specific stuff will live, starting
with objdump's choice of comment delimitation character, that is '#' in
x86 while a ';' in arm.
