Remove unused definitions, and this is to avoid confusion with MIPS-based platforms. Signed-off-by: Jaedon Shin <jaedon.shin@gmail.com> Tested-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Acked-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-11-30ata: ahci_brcmstb: add a quirk for MIPS-based platformsJaedon Shin
Whereas ARM-based platforms have four phy interface registers and information, the MIPS-based platforms have only three registers, and there are no information and documentation. In the original BSP, It using "strict-ahci" did not control these registers. 2015-11-30ata: ahci_brcmstb: disable NCQ for MIPS-based platformsJaedon Shin

2015-11-30i2c: davinci: Increase module clock frequencyAlexander Sverdlin
I2C controller used in Keystone SoC has an undocumented peculiarity which results in SDA-SCL margins being dependent on module clock. Driving high capacity bus near its limits can result in STOP condition sometimes being understood as REPEATED-START by slaves (or NACK instead of ACK, etc...). Driving the module with higher clocks increases the margin between SDA and SCL transitions, making the operations with higher bus rates more robust. Therefore, target the module clock to 12MHz instead of 7MHz, still staying within the specification limits. Before the change STOP timing looked like this on 400kHz: SDA ----------+ +---- \ / \ / +----+ (1) SCL --+ +------------ \ / \ / +----+ (2) While only point (1) signals STOP, point (2) could be incorrectly recognized as repeated-START (almost no margin between SDA and SCL transitions). After the change there is at least 600ns margin measured between SCL fall and SDA fall during STOP generation: SDA ------+ +---- \ / \ / +----+ SCL --+ +-------- \ / \ / +----+ ->| |<- 600ns ->| |<- tSUSTO So called tSUSTO (setup time for STOP condition) is still slightly higher than 600ns, so no problem here. 2015-11-30i2c: mv64xxx: The n clockdiv factor is 0 based on sunxi SoCsHans de Goede
According to the datasheets the n factor for dividing the tclk is 2 to the power n on Allwinner SoCs, not 2 to the power n + 1 as it is on other mv64xxx implementations. I've contacted Allwinner about this and they have confirmed that the datasheet is correct. This commit fixes the clk-divider calculations for Allwinner SoCs accordingly. 2015-11-30cgroup: pids: kill pids_fork(), simplify pids_can_fork() and pids_cancel_fork()Oleg Nesterov
Now that we know that the forking task can't migrate amd the child is always moved to the same cgroup by cgroup_post_fork()->css_set_move_task() we can change pids_can_fork() and pids_cancel_fork() to just use task_css(current). And since we no longer need to pin this css, we can remove pid_fork(). Note: the patch uses task_css_check(true), perhaps it makes sense to add a helper or change task_css_set_check() to take cgroup_threadgroup_rwsem into account. 2015-11-30cgroup: pids: fix race between cgroup_post_fork() and cgroup_migrate()Oleg Nesterov
If the new child migrates to another cgroup before cgroup_post_fork() calls subsys->fork(), then both pids_can_attach() and pids_fork() will do the same pids_uncharge(old_pids) + pids_charge(pids) sequence twice. Change copy_process() to call threadgroup_change_begin/threadgroup_change_end unconditionally. percpu_down_read() is cheap and this allows other cleanups, see the next changes. Also, this way we can unify cgroup_threadgroup_rwsem and dup_mmap_sem. Signed-off-by: Oleg Nesterov <oleg@redhat.com> Acked-by: Zefan Li <lizefan@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Tejun Heo <tj@kernel.org>
2015-11-30cgroup: make css_set pin its css's to avoid use-afer-freeTejun Heo
A css_set represents the relationship between a set of tasks and css's. css_set never pinned the associated css's. This was okay because tasks used to always disassociate immediately (in RCU sense) - either a task is moved to a different css_set or exits and never accesses css_set again. Unfortunately, afcf6c8b7544 ("cgroup: add cgroup_subsys->free() method and use it to fix pids controller") and patches leading up to it made a zombie hold onto its css_set and deref the associated css's on its release. Nothing pins the css's after exit and it might have already been freed leading to use-after-free. general protection fault: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP task: ffffffff81bf2500 ti: ffffffff81be4000 task.ti: ffffffff81be4000 RIP: 0010:[<ffffffff810fa205>] [<ffffffff810fa205>] pids_cancel.constprop.4+0x5/0x40 ... Originally OMAP MPUIO GPIO irqchip was implemented using Generic irq chip, but after set of reworks Generic irq chip code was replaced by common OMAP GPIO implementation and finally removed by commit d2d05c65c40e ("gpio: omap: Fix regression for MPUIO interrupts"). This patch updates the routines (sca_*) to provide transparent access to and manipulation on the data for both Basic and Extended SCA in use. The kvm.arch.sca is generalized to (void *) to handle BSCA/ESCA cases. Also the kvm.arch.use_esca flag is provided. The actual functionality is kept the same. 2015-11-30KVM: s390: Introduce new structuresEugene (jno) Dvurechenski
This patch adds new structures and updates some existing ones to provide the base for Extended SCA functionality. The old sca_* structures were renamed to bsca_* to keep things uniform. The access to fields of SIGP controls were turned into bitfields instead of hardcoded bitmasks. 2015-11-30KVM: s390: rewrite vcpu_post_run and drop out earlyDavid Hildenbrand
Let's rewrite this function to better reflect how we actually handle exit_code. By dropping out early we can save a few cycles. This especially speeds up sie exits caused by host irqs. Also, let's move the special -EOPNOTSUPP for intercepts to the place where it belongs and convert it to -EREMOTE. 2015-11-30KVM: Remove unnecessary debugfs dentry referencesJanosch Frank
KVM creates debugfs files to export VM statistics to userland. To be able to remove them on kvm exit it tracks the files' dentries. Since their parent directory is also tracked and since each parent direntry knows its children we can easily remove them by using debugfs_remove_recursive(kvm_debugfs_dir). Therefore we don't need the extra tracking in the kvm_stats_debugfs_item anymore. 2015-11-30pinctrl: at91-pio4: use %pr format string for resourceArnd Bergmann
resource_size_t may be defined as 32 or 64 bit depending on configuration, so it cannot be printed using the normal format strings, as gcc correctly warns: pinctrl-at91-pio4.c: In function 'atmel_pinctrl_probe': pinctrl-at91-pio4.c:1003:41: warning: format '%u' expects argument of type 'unsigned int', but argument 5 has type 'resource_size_t {aka long long unsigned int}' [-Wformat=] dev_dbg(dev, "bank %i: hwirq=%u\n", i, res->start); This changes the format string to use the special "%pr" format string that prints a resource, and changes the arguments so we the resource structure directly.
