Some designs hardwire the PDRST pin to always on. In this case there is no GPIO
to control the mode of the device, so make the GPIO optional. Since now all of
the the platform data fields are optional now, make the platform data as a whole
optional as well.

the device will be removed regardless of the return value of the remove
callback. So if we abort in the remove function and do not free all resources we
will create a resource leak. Also all kinds of undefined behaviour are expected
to happen since the IIO device is still there while its parent is already gone.
The errors which the driver tries to handle in the remove function are
non-critical, so we can just ignore them and continue to free all resources and
remove the IIO device.

This change removes the code that was doing the NUMA allocations for the
q_vectors, rings, and ring resources. The problem is the logic used assumed
that the NUMA nodes were always interleved and that is not always the case.
At some point I hope to add this functionality back in a more controlled
manner in the future.

When the IIO consumer tries to get specific IIO channel,
few error cases can be happened.
(a) Memory allocation failure
(b) No matched ADC channel error
(c) Invalid input arguments
This patch enables cleaning up error handling in case of (a) and (b).
In error handling code,
(a): the reference count of the IIO device should be decreased.
(b): the allocated memory should be freed with restoring the reference count.
Therefore iio_deivce_put() is called in both cases.
This can be handled in the last error statement.
Additionally, integer variable is used for stating each error case explicitly.
Then, the error returns as ERR_PTR() with this value.

The reference count of the IIO device is increased if the IIO map has
matched consumer name.
After then, it tries to allocate the iio_channel which is used by the consumer.
If it fails to allocate memory, the reference count should be decreased.
This patch enables restoring the reference count of the IIO device.

When hid sensor hub is unplugged, there is a crash in
iio_device_unregister_trigger_consumer.
In a typical IIO driver when remove is called, it will unregister and free
trigger and then it will call iio_device_free.
The function iio_trigger_free() will free the allocated memory for trigger.
If this trigger was assigned to iio_dev->trig, then it should be set to NULL.
Othewise when iio_device_free() is called later, it finally calls
iio_device_unregsister_trigger(), which checks for
if (indio_dev->trig)
iio_trigger_put(indio_dev->trig);
If indio_dev->trig is not set to NULL, it calls iio_trigger_put on a bad
pointer causing crash.
This scenerio can happen in any driver, which is storing trigger pointer in
iio_dev structure and following current procedure during remove.

This patch fixes an issue introduced after commit 4ea5454203d991ec
("HID: Fix race condition between driver core and ll-driver").
After that commit, hid-core discards any incoming packet that arrives while
hid driver's probe function is being executed.
This broke the enumeration process of hid-logitech-dj, that must receive
control packets in-band with the mouse and keyboard packets. Discarding mouse
or keyboard data at the very begining is usually fine, but it is not the case
for control packets.
This patch forces a re-enumeration of the paired devices when a packet arrives
that comes from an unknown device.

Due to a hardware issue, on i210 and i211 parts, the TNCRS statistic
provides an invalid value. This patch changes the update stats function
to increment the stat only for non-i210/i211 parts.

Adapt the pre-existing and assigned VFs code to the ixgbe way introduced
in commit 9297127b9cdd8d30c829ef5fd28b7cc0323a7bcd.
Instead of searching the enabled VFs we use pci_num_vf to determine enabled VFs.
By comparing to which PF an assigned VF is owned it's possible to decide
whether to leave it enabled or not.

DMA Position in Buffer (DPIB) should be used for
ring buffer management, while LPIB register provides
information on the number of samples transfered on
the link. The difference between the two pieces of
information corresponds to hardware/DMA buffering.
This patch reports this difference in runtime->delay, and
removes the use of the COMBO mode on recent Intel hardware.

SSYNC bits are typically used to start multiple
streams synchronously. It makes sense to use them
for a single stream for a more predictable startup
sequence. The transfers only start once the DMA and
FIFOs are ready. This results in a better correlation
between timestamps and number of samples played.

If headphone jack can't detect plug presence, and we have the jack in
the jack table, snd_hda_jack_detect will return the plug as always
present (as it'll be considered as a phantom jack). The problem is that
when this happens, line out pins will always be disabled, resulting in
no sound if there are no headphones connected.
This was reported as a no sound problem after suspend on
http://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052499, since the bug doesn't manifests
on first initialization before the phantom jack is added, but on resume
we reexecute the initialization code, and via_hp_automute starts
reporting HP always present with the jack now on the table.

In write_partial_msg_pages(), pages need to be kmapped in order to
perform a CRC-32c calculation on them. As an artifact of the way
this code used to be structured, the kunmap() call was separated
from the kmap() call and both were done conditionally. But the
conditions under which the kmap() and kunmap() calls were made
differed, so there was a chance a kunmap() call would be done on a
page that had not been mapped.
The symptom of this was tripping a BUG() in kunmap_high() when
pkmap_count[nr] became 0.

If a read-only rbd device is opened for writing in rbd_open(), it
returns without dropping the just-acquired device reference.
Fix this by moving the read-only check before getting the reference.

Preemption is disabled between kernel_fpu_begin/end() and as such
it is not a good idea to use these routines in kvm_load/put_guest_fpu()
which can be very far apart.
kvm_load/put_guest_fpu() routines are already called with
preemption disabled and KVM already uses the preempt notifier to save
the guest fpu state using kvm_put_guest_fpu().
So introduce __kernel_fpu_begin/end() routines which don't touch
preemption and use them instead of kernel_fpu_begin/end()
for KVM's use model of saving/restoring guest FPU state.
Also with this change (and with eagerFPU model), fix the host cr0.TS vm-exit
state in the case of VMX. For eagerFPU case, host cr0.TS is always clear.
So no need to worry about it. For the traditional lazyFPU restore case,
change the cr0.TS bit for the host state during vm-exit to be always clear
and cr0.TS bit is set in the __vmx_load_host_state() when the FPU
(guest FPU or the host task's FPU) state is not active. This ensures
that the host/guest FPU state is properly saved, restored
during context-switch and with interrupts (using irq_fpu_usable()) not
stomping on the active FPU state.

A previous patch added the ac_draw_failed goto and label to
pda_power_probe(). The goto would be invoked after a failed call to
regulator_get().
However the way ac_draw is used - always after a check for NULL - suggests
that a failed call to regulator_get() was not fatal.
This patch removes the ac_draw_failed goto and label, partly reverting the
previous patch.
This patch also removes the assignment of an error code to ret after a
failed call to regulator_get(), since the error code is now never used.

This patch add support sysfs entry for each charger(regulator).
Charger-manager use one or more chargers for charging battery but some
charger isn't necessary on specific scenario. So, if some charger isn't
needed, can disable specific charger through 'externally_control' entry
while system is on state and confirm the information(name, state) of
charger.
The list of added sysfs entry
- /sys/class/power_supply/battery/chargers/charger.[index]/name
show name of charger(regulator)
- /sys/class/power_supply/battery/chargers/charger.[index]/state
show either enabled or disabled state of charger
- /sys/class/power_supply/battery/chargers/charger.[index]/externally_control
If 'externally_control' of specific charger is 1, Charger-manager cannot
enable regulator for charging when charger cable is attached and charger
must be maintained with disabled state. If 'externally_control' is zero,
Charger-manager usually can control to enable/disable regulator.

The function __cpuidle_register_driver name is confusing because it
suggests, conforming to the coding style of the kernel, it registers
the driver without taking a lock. Actually, it just fill the different
power field states with a decresing value if the power has not been
specified.
Clarify the purpose of the function by changing its name and
move the condition out of this function.
This patch fix nothing and does not change the behavior of the
function. It is just for the sake of clarity.
IHMO, reading in the code:
+ if (!drv->power_specified)
+ set_power_states(drv);
is much more explicit than:
- __cpuidle_register_driver(drv);

In case of error, the function clk_get() returns ERR_PTR()
and never returns NULL pointer. The NULL test in the error
handling should be replaced with IS_ERR().

Adopt pinctrl support to c_can driver based on c_can device
pointer, pinctrl driver configure SoC pins to d_can mode
according to definitions provided in .dts file.
In device specific device tree file 'pinctrl-names = "default";'
and 'pinctrl-0 = <&d_can1_pins>;' needs to add to configure pins
from c_can driver. d_can1_pins node contains the pinmux/config
details of d_can L/H pins.

Adds suspend resume support to DCAN driver which enables
DCAN power down mode bit (PDR). Then DCAN will ack the local

Add Runtime PM support to C_CAN/D_CAN controller. The runtime PM
APIs control clocks for C_CAN/D_CAN IP and prevent access to the
register of C_CAN/D_CAN IP when clock is turned off.

Add device tree support to C_CAN/D_CAN controller and usage details
are added to device tree documentation. Driver was tested on AM335x
EVM.

Modify c_can device names from *_CAN_DEVTYPE to BOSCH_*_CAN to make
use of same names for array indexes in c_can_id_table[] as well as
device names.
This patch also add indexes to c_can_id_table array.

Swith the palmas to linear domain in all cases so in future DT and non
DT cases will work the same.
With this patch children no longer need IRQ resources as it's easier
for them to use regmap_get_virq. So we can remove the resources
definitions.

Improve the error exit path so that we correctly de-allocate resources
that have been allocated upto the point where error occurs.

commit e7c706b1e5ccf28eaaf76c7a4613e80b0ca52863 migrated the allocation
of struct mc13xxx to devm_* functions, but left a kfree(mc13xxx) in the
mc13xxx_common_init error path. Remove it to prevent memory corruption.
