When scsi_add_host_with_dma() returns failure, the caller will call
scsi_host_put(shost) to release everything allocated for this host
instance. Consequently we can't also free allocated stuff in
scsi_add_host_with_dma(), otherwise we will end up with a double free.
Strictly speaking, host resource allocations should have been done in
scsi_host_alloc(). However, the allocations may need information which is
not yet provided by the driver when that function is called. So leave the
allocations where they are but rely on host device's release handler to
free resources.

After device is initialized via device_initialize(), or its name is set via
dev_set_name(), the device has to be freed via put_device(). Otherwise
device name will be leaked because it is allocated dynamically in
dev_set_name().
Fix the leak by replacing kfree() with put_device(). Since
scsi_host_dev_release() properly handles IDA and kthread removal, remove
special-casing these from the error handling as well.

When calling xsk_socket__create_shared(), the logic at line 1097 marks a
boolean flag true within the xsk_umem structure to track setup progress
in order to support multiple calls to the function. However, instead of
marking umem->tx_ring_setup_done, the code incorrectly sets
umem->rx_ring_setup_done. This leads to improper behaviour when
creating and destroying xsk and umem structures.
Multiple calls to this function is documented as supported.

IFF_POINTOPOINT interfaces use NUD_NOARP entries for IPv6. It's possible to
fill up the neighbour table with enough entries that it will overflow for
valid connections after that.
This behaviour is more prevalent after commit 58956317c8de ("neighbor:
Improve garbage collection") is applied, as it prevents removal from
entries that are not NUD_FAILED, unless they are more than 5s old.

In commit c47cc304990a ("net: kcm: fix memory leak in kcm_sendmsg")
I misunderstood the root case of the memory leak and came up with
completely broken fix.
So, simply revert this commit to avoid GPF reported by
syzbot.

Thermal polling delay argument for modules and gearboxes thermal zones
used to be initialized with zero value, while actual delay was used to
be set by mlxsw_thermal_set_mode() by thermal operation callback
set_mode(). After operations set_mode()/get_mode() have been removed by
cited commits, modules and gearboxes thermal zones always have polling
time set to zero and do not perform temperature monitoring.
Set non-zero "polling_delay" in thermal_zone_device_register() routine,
thus, the relevant thermal zones will perform thermal monitoring.

In mlxsw Qdisc offload, find_class() is an operation that yields a qdisc
offload descriptor given a parental qdisc descriptor and a class handle. In
__mlxsw_sp_qdisc_ets_graft() however, a band number is passed to that
function instead of a handle. This can lead to a trigger of a WARN_ON

A max-shaper is the HW component responsible for delaying egress traffic
above a configured transmission rate. Burst size is the amount of traffic
that is allowed to pass without accounting. The burst size value needs to
be such that it can be expressed as 2^BS * 512 bits, where BS lies in a
certain ASIC-dependent range. mlxsw enforces that this holds before
attempting to configure the shaper.
The assumption for Spectrum-3 was that the lower limit of BS would be 5,
like for Spectrum-1. But as of now, the limit is still 11. Therefore fix
the driver accordingly, so that incorrect values are rejected early with a
proper message.

When get_module_eeprom_by_page() is not implemented by the driver, NULL
pointer dereference can occur [1].
Fix by testing if get_module_eeprom_by_page() is implemented instead of

In commit e87b03f5830e ("afs: Prepare for use of THPs"), the return
value for afs_write_back_from_locked_page was changed from a number
of pages to a length in bytes. The loop in afs_writepages_region uses
the return value to compute the index that will be used to find dirty
pages in the next iteration, but treats it as a number of pages and
wrongly multiplies it by PAGE_SIZE. This gives a very large index value,
potentially skipping any dirty data that was not covered in the first
pass, which is limited to 256M.
This causes fsync(), and indirectly close(), to only do a partial
writeback of a large file's dirty data. The rest is eventually written
back by background threads after dirty_expire_centisecs.

For GTT allocations with a GART address the res contains the VMID0
addresses and can't be used for VM handling.
So ignore the res when the pages array is given or we fill the page
tables with nonsense.

The NV12 and VEGA10 share the same interface W/RREG32_SOC15*,
the callback functions in these macros may not be defined,

prange->offset is for VRAM range mm_nodes, if multiple ranges share same
mm_nodes, migrate range back to VRAM will reuse the VRAM at offset of
the same mm_nodes. For system memory pages_addr array, the offset is
always 0, otherwise, update GPU mapping will use incorrect system memory
page, and cause system memory corruption.

In SRIOV environment, KMD should access SDMA registers
through RLCG if GC indirect access flag enabled.

PSR enabled
When PSR is enabled it handles DP_SDP_VSC, changing revision and all
the other fields as necessary.
It can also enabled and disable this SDP as needed without a full
modeset.
So here masking DP_SDP_VSC bit when previous and future state PSR
enabled, it will still be checked when comparing the asked state
to what was programmed to hardware.

Commit 78b772e1a01f ("drm/i915/display: Fill PSR state during hardware
configuration read out") is not allowing fastsets to happen when PSR
states changes but PSR is a feature that can be enabled and disabled
during fastsets.
So here moving the PSR pipe conf checks to a block that is only
executed when checking if HW state matches with requested state, not
during the phase where it checks if fastset is possible or not.
There still a state mismatch not allowing fastsets between states
turning off or on PSR because of crtc_state->infoframes.enable
BIT(DP_SDP_VSC) but at least for now it will allow a fastset between
PSR1 <-> PSR2, that is a case heavilly used by CI due to pipe CRC not
work with PSR2, but the remaning issue will be fixed in a future patch.

We are calling the eviction_valuable driver callback at eviction time to
determine whether we actually can evict a buffer object.
The upcoming i915 TTM backend needs the same functionality for swapout,
and that might actually be beneficial to other drivers as well.
Add an eviction_valuable call also in the swapout path. Try to keep the
current behaviour for all drivers by returning true if the buffer object
is already in the TTM_PL_SYSTEM placement. We change behaviour for the
case where a buffer object is in a TT backed placement when swapped out,
in which case the drivers normal eviction_valuable path is run.

If the bo is idle when calling ttm_bo_pipeline_gutting(), we unnecessarily
create a ghost object and push it out to delayed destroy.
Fix this by adding a path for idle, and document the function.
Also avoid having the bo end up in a bad state vulnerable to user-space
triggered kernel BUGs if the call to ttm_tt_create() fails.
Finally reuse ttm_bo_pipeline_gutting() in ttm_bo_evict().

Reading out of write-combining mapped memory is typically very slow
since the CPU doesn't prefetch. However some archs have special
instructions to do this.
So add a best-effort memcpy_from_wc taking dma-buf-map pointer
arguments that attempts to use a fast prefetching memcpy and
otherwise falls back to ordinary memcopies, taking the iomem tagging
into account.
The code is largely copied from i915_memcpy_from_wc.

The internal ttm_bo_util memcpy uses ioremap functionality, and while it
probably might be possible to use it for copying in- and out of
sglist represented io memory, using io_mem_reserve() / io_mem_free()
callbacks, that would cause problems with fault().
Instead, implement a method mapping page-by-page using kmap_local()
semantics. As an additional benefit we then avoid the occasional global
TLB flushes of ioremap() and consuming ioremap space, elimination of a
critical point of failure and with a slight change of semantics we could
also push the memcpy out async for testing and async driver development
purposes.
A special linear iomem iterator is introduced internally to mimic the
old ioremap behaviour for code-paths that can't immediately be ported
over. This adds to the code size and should be considered a temporary
solution.
Looking at the code we have a lot of checks for iomap tagged pointers.
Ideally we should extend the core memremap functions to also accept
uncached memory and kmap_local functionality. Then we could strip a
lot of code.

Do this in order to prevent the task from being freed if the thread
returns (which can be triggered by the frontend) before the call to
kthread_stop done as part of the backend tear down. Not taking the
reference will lead to a use-after-free in that scenario. Such
reference was taken before but dropped as part of the rework done in
2ac061ce97f4.
Reintroduce the reference taking and add a comment this time
explaining why it's needed.

Commit 95722237cb2a ("ACPI: sleep: Put the FACS table after using it")
puts the FACS table during initialization.
But the hardware signature bits in the FACS table need to be accessed,
after every hibernation, to compare with the original hardware
signature.
So there is no reason to release the FACS table mapping after
initialization.
This reverts commit 95722237cb2ae4f7b73471058cdb19e8f4057c93.
An alternative solution is to use acpi_gbl_FACS variable instead, which
is mapped by the ACPICA core and never released.

On sunxi boards that use HDMI output, HDMI device probe keeps being
avoided indefinitely with these repeated messages in dmesg:
platform 1ee0000.hdmi: probe deferral - supplier 1ef0000.hdmi-phy
not ready
There's a fwnode_link being created with fw_devlink=on between hdmi
and hdmi-phy nodes, because both nodes have 'compatible' property set.
Fw_devlink code assumes that nodes that have compatible property
set will also have a device associated with them by some driver
eventually. This is not the case with the current sun8i-hdmi
driver.
This commit makes sun8i-hdmi-phy into a proper platform device
and fixes the display pipeline probe on sunxi boards that use HDMI.

Currently only linear formats are supported in sun4i-drm driver, but
SoCs like H6 supports AFBC variant of some of them in multiple cores
(GPU, VPU, DE3). Panfrost already implements AFBC compression and is
sometimes confused what should be default choice (linear, AFBC) if DRM
driver is not explicit about modifier support (MiniMyth2 distro with
MythTV app).
After some discussion with Daniel Stone on #panfrost IRC, it was decided
to make modifiers in sun4i-drm explicit, to avoid any kind of guessing,
not just in panfrost, but everywhere. In fact, long term idea is to make
modifier parameter in drm_universal_plane_init() mandatory (non NULL).

The new gpiod interface takes care of parsing the GPIO flags and to
return the logical value when accessing an active-low GPIO, so switching
to it simplifies a lot the driver.

If the of_get_named_gpio_flags call fails in vc4_hdmi_bind, we jump to
the err_unprepare_hsm label. That label will then call
pm_runtime_disable and put_device on the DDC device.
We just retrieved the DDC device, so the latter is definitely justified.
However at that point we still haven't called pm_runtime_enable, so the
call to pm_runtime_disable is not supposed to be there.

Wrong condition check is used to decide if a machine check hit
while in KVM guest. As result of this check the instruction
following the SIE critical section might be considered as still
in KVM guest and _CIF_MCCK_GUEST CPU flag mistakenly set as
result.
