Xen 4.17 supports the creation of static evtchns. To allow user space
application to bind static evtchns introduce new ioctl
"IOCTL_EVTCHN_BIND_STATIC". Existing IOCTL doing more than binding
that’s why we need to introduce the new IOCTL to only bind the static
event channels.
Static evtchns to be available for use during the lifetime of the
guest. When the application exits, __unbind_from_irq() ends up being
called from release() file operations because of that static evtchns
are getting closed. To avoid closing the static event channel, add the
new bool variable "is_static" in "struct irq_info" to mark the event
channel static when creating the event channel to avoid closing the
static evtchn.
Also, take this opportunity to remove the open-coded version of the
evtchn close in drivers/xen/evtchn.c file and use xen_evtchn_close().

Linux bridge provides ability to learn MAC addresses and vlans
detected on bridge's ports. As a result of this, FDB (forward data base)
entries are created and they can be offloaded to the HW. By adding
VF's port representors to the bridge together with the uplink netdev,
we can learn VF's and link partner's MAC addresses. This is achieved
by slow/exception-path, where packets that do not match any filters
(FDB entries in this case) are send to the bridge ports.
Driver keeps track of the netdevs added to the bridge
by listening for NETDEV_CHANGEUPPER event. We distinguish two types
of bridge ports: uplink port and VF's representor port. Linux
bridge always learns src MAC of the packet on rx path. With the
current slow-path implementation, it means that we will learn
VF's MAC on port repr (when the VF transmits the packet) and
link partner's MAC on uplink (when we receive it on uplink from LAN).
The driver is notified about learning of the MAC/VLAN by
SWITCHDEV_FDB_{ADD|DEL}_TO_DEVICE events. This is followed by creation
of the HW filter. The direction of the filter is based on port
type (uplink or VF repr). In case of the uplink, rule forwards
the packets to the LAN (matching on link partner's MAC). When the
notification is received on VF repr then the rule forwards the
packets to the associated VF (matching on VF's MAC).
This approach would not work on its own however. This is because if
one of the directions is offloaded, then the bridge would not be able
to learn the other one. If the egress rule is added (learned on uplink)
then the response from the VF will be sent directly to the LAN.
The packet will not got through slow-path, it would not be seen on
VF's port repr. Because of that, the bridge would not learn VF's MAC.
This is solved by introducing guard rule. It prevents forward rule from
working until the opposite direction is offloaded.
Aging is not fully supported yet, aging time is static for now. The
follow up submissions will introduce counters that will allow us to
keep track if the rule is actually being used or not.
A few fixes/changes are needed for this feature to work with ice driver.
These are introduced in first 5 patches.

The IEEE1588 Standard specifies that the timestamps of Packets must be
captured when the PTP message timestamp point (leading edge of first
octet after the start of frame delimiter) crosses the boundary between
the node and the network. As the MAC latches the timestamp at an
internal point, the captured timestamp must be corrected for the
additional path latency, as described in the publicly available
datasheet [1].
This patch only corrects for the MAC-Internal delay, which can be read
out from the MAC_Ingress_Timestamp_Latency register, since the Phy
framework currently does not support querying the Phy ingress and egress
latency. The Closs Domain Crossing Circuits errors as indicated in [1]
are already being accounted in the stmmac_get_tx_hwtstamp() function and
are not corrected here.
As the Latency varies for different link speeds and MII
modes of operation, the correction value needs to be updated on each
link state change.
As the delay also causes a phase shift in the timestamp counter compared
to the rest of the network, this correction will also reduce phase error
when generating PPS outputs from the timestamp counter.

Last year, the code that manages GSI channel transactions switched
from using spinlock-protected linked lists to using indexes into the
ring buffer used for a channel. Recently, Google reported seeing
transaction reference count underflows occasionally during shutdown.
Doug Anderson found a way to reproduce the issue reliably, and
bisected the issue to the commit that eliminated the linked lists
and the lock. The root cause was ultimately determined to be
related to unused transactions being committed as part of the modem
shutdown cleanup activity. Unused transactions are not normally
expected (except in error cases).
The modem uses some ranges of IPA-resident memory, and whenever it
shuts down we zero those ranges. In ipa_filter_reset_table() a
transaction is allocated to zero modem filter table entries. If
hashing is not supported, hashed table memory should not be zeroed.
But currently nothing prevents that, and the result is an unused
transaction. Something similar occurs when we zero routing table
entries for the modem.
By preventing any attempt to clear hashed tables when hashing is not
supported, the reference count underflow is avoided in this case.
Note that there likely remains an issue with properly freeing unused
transactions (if they occur due to errors). This patch addresses
only the underflows that Google originally reported.

syzkaller found a warning in packet_getname() [0], where we try to
copy 16 bytes to sockaddr_ll.sll_addr[8].
Some devices (ip6gre, vti6, ip6tnl) have 16 bytes address expressed
by struct in6_addr. Also, Infiniband has 32 bytes as MAX_ADDR_LEN.
The write seems to overflow, but actually not since we use struct
sockaddr_storage defined in __sys_getsockname() and its size is 128
(_K_SS_MAXSIZE) bytes. Thus, we have sufficient room after sll_addr[]
as __data[].
To avoid the warning, let's add a flex array member union-ed with
sll_addr.
Another option would be to use strncpy() and limit the copied length
to sizeof(sll_addr), but it will return the partial address and break
an application that passes sockaddr_storage to getsockname().

syzkaller found a bug in unix_bind_bsd() [0]. We can reproduce it
by bind()ing a socket on a path with length 108.
108 is the size of sun_addr of struct sockaddr_un and is the maximum
valid length for the pathname socket. When calling bind(), we use
struct sockaddr_storage as the actual buffer size, so terminating
sun_addr[108] with null is legitimate as done in unix_mkname_bsd().
However, strlen(sunaddr) for such a case causes fortify_panic() if
CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE=y. __fortify_strlen() has no idea about the
actual buffer size and see the string as unterminated.
Let's use strnlen() to allow sun_addr to be unterminated at 107.

The last s390 machine that supported FDDI was z900 ('7th generation',
released in 2000). The oldest machine generation currently supported by
the Linux kernel is MARCH_Z10 (released 2008). If there is still a usecase
for connecting a Linux on s390 instance to a LAN Channel Station (LCS), it
can only do so via Ethernet.
Randy Dunlap[1] found that LCS over FDDI has never worked, when FDDI
was compiled as module. Instead of fixing that, remove the FDDI option
from the lcs driver.
While at it, make the CONFIG_LCS description a bit more helpful.

There are currently two paths that call remove_xps_queue():
1. __netif_set_xps_queue -> remove_xps_queue
2. clean_xps_maps -> remove_xps_queue_cpu -> remove_xps_queue
There is no need to check dev_maps in remove_xps_queue() because
dev_maps has been checked on these two paths.

The previous commit 954d1fa1ac93 ("macvlan: Add netlink attribute for
broadcast cutoff") added one additional attribute named
IFLA_MACVLAN_BC_CUTOFF to allow broadcast cutfoff.
However, it forgot to describe the nla_policy at macvlan_policy
(drivers/net/macvlan.c). Hence, this suppose NLA_S32 (4 bytes) integer
can be faked as empty (0 bytes) by a malicious user, which could leads
to OOB in heap just like CVE-2023-3773.
To fix it, this commit just completes the nla_policy description for
IFLA_MACVLAN_BC_CUTOFF. This enforces the length check and avoids the
potential OOB read.

Storage devices are free to send RSCNs, e.g. for internal state changes. If
this happens on all connected paths, zfcp risks temporarily losing all
paths at the same time. This has strong requirements on multipath
configuration such as "no_path_retry queue".
Avoid such situations by deferring fc_rport blocking until after the ADISC
response, when any actual state change of the remote port became clear.
The already existing port recovery triggers explicitly block the fc_rport.
The triggers are: on ADISC reject or timeout (typical cable pull case), and
on ADISC indicating that the remote port has changed its WWPN or
the port is meanwhile no longer open.
As a side effect, this also removes a confusing direct function call to
another work item function zfcp_scsi_rport_work() instead of scheduling
that other work item. It was probably done that way to have the rport block
side effect immediate and synchronous to the caller.

Splitting these out into separate helper functions means that we
actually pass an uninitialized variable into another function call
if dec_active() happens to not be inlined, and CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT
is disabled:

in bpf_perf_event_output. The reproducer [2] just creates busy uprobe
and call bpf_perf_event_output helper a lot.

We received report [1] of kernel crash, which is caused by
using nesting protection without disabled preemption.
The bpf_event_output can be called by programs executed by
bpf_prog_run_array_cg function that disabled migration but
keeps preemption enabled.
This can cause task to be preempted by another one inside the
nesting protection and lead eventually to two tasks using same
perf_sample_data buffer and cause crashes like:

The nesting protection in bpf_perf_event_output relies on disabled
preemption, which is guaranteed for kprobes and tracepoints.
However bpf_perf_event_output can be also called from uprobes context
through bpf_prog_run_array_sleepable function which disables migration,
but keeps preemption enabled.
This can cause task to be preempted by another one inside the nesting
protection and lead eventually to two tasks using same perf_sample_data
buffer and cause crashes like:

It is possible for dma_request_chan() to return EPROBE_DEFER, which
means acdev->host->dev is not ready yet. At this point dev_err() will
have no output. Use dev_err_probe() instead.

Commit db1d1e8b9867 ("IMA: use vfs_getattr_nosec to get the i_version")
partially closed an IMA integrity issue when directly modifying a file
on the lower filesystem. If the overlay file is first opened by a user
and later the lower backing file is modified by root, but the extended
attribute is NOT updated, the signature validation succeeds with the old
original signature.
Update the super_block s_iflags to SB_I_IMA_UNVERIFIABLE_SIGNATURE to
force signature reevaluation on every file access until a fine grained
solution can be found.

Commit c4e34dd99f2e ("x86: simplify load_unaligned_zeropad()
implementation") changes how exceptions around load_unaligned_zeropad()
handled. The kernel now uses the fault_address in fixup_exception() to
verify the address calculations for the load_unaligned_zeropad().
It works fine for #PF, but breaks on #VE since no fault address is
passed down to fixup_exception().
Propagating ve_info.gla down to fixup_exception() resolves the issue.

wq_cpu_intensive_thresh_us is used to detect CPU-hogging per-cpu work items.
Once detected, they're excluded from concurrency management to prevent them
from blocking other per-cpu work items. If CONFIG_WQ_CPU_INTENSIVE_REPORT is
enabled, repeat offenders are also reported so that the code can be updated.
The default threshold is 10ms which is long enough to do fair bit of work on
modern CPUs while short enough to be usually not noticeable. This
unfortunately leads to a lot of, arguable spurious, detections on very slow
CPUs. Using the same threshold across CPUs whose performance levels may be
apart by multiple levels of magnitude doesn't make whole lot of sense.
This patch scales up wq_cpu_intensive_thresh_us upto 1 second when BogoMIPS
is below 4000. This is obviously very inaccurate but it doesn't have to be
accurate to be useful. The mechanism is still useful when the threshold is
fully scaled up and the benefits of reports are usually shared with everyone
regardless of who's reporting, so as long as there are sufficient number of
fast machines reporting, we don't lose much.
Some (or is it all?) ARM CPUs systemtically report significantly lower
BogoMIPS. While this doesn't break anything, given how widespread ARM CPUs
are, it's at least a missed opportunity and it probably would be a good idea
to teach workqueue about it.

To make this work in all cases we need to assign a SO_REUSEPORT socket
to an skb, which is currently prohibited. This series adds support for
such sockets to bpf_sk_assing.
I did some refactoring to cut down on the amount of duplicate code. The
key to this is to use INDIRECT_CALL in the reuseport helpers. To show
that this approach is not just beneficial to TC sk_assign I removed
duplicate code for bpf_sk_lookup as well.

We use two programs to check that the new reuseport logic is executed
appropriately.
The first is a TC clsact program which bpf_sk_assigns
the skb to a UDP or TCP socket created by user space. Since the test
communicates via lo we see both directions of packets in the eBPF.
Traffic ingressing to the reuseport socket is identified by looking
at the destination port. For TCP, we additionally need to make sure
that we only assign the initial SYN packets towards our listening
socket. The network stack then creates a request socket which
transitions to ESTABLISHED after the 3WHS.
The second is a reuseport program which shares the fact that
it has been executed with user space. This tells us that the delayed
lookup mechanism is working.

Currently the bpf_sk_assign helper in tc BPF context refuses SO_REUSEPORT
sockets. This means we can't use the helper to steer traffic to Envoy,
which configures SO_REUSEPORT on its sockets. In turn, we're blocked
from removing TPROXY from our setup.
The reason that bpf_sk_assign refuses such sockets is that the
bpf_sk_lookup helpers don't execute SK_REUSEPORT programs. Instead,
one of the reuseport sockets is selected by hash. This could cause
dispatch to the "wrong" socket:
sk = bpf_sk_lookup_tcp(...) // select SO_REUSEPORT by hash
bpf_sk_assign(skb, sk) // SK_REUSEPORT wasn't executed
Fixing this isn't as simple as invoking SK_REUSEPORT from the lookup
helpers unfortunately. In the tc context, L2 headers are at the start
of the skb, while SK_REUSEPORT expects L3 headers instead.
Instead, we execute the SK_REUSEPORT program when the assigned socket
is pulled out of the skb, further up the stack. This creates some
trickiness with regards to refcounting as bpf_sk_assign will put both
refcounted and RCU freed sockets in skb->sk. reuseport sockets are RCU
freed. We can infer that the sk_assigned socket is RCU freed if the
reuseport lookup succeeds, but convincing yourself of this fact isn't
straight forward. Therefore we defensively check refcounting on the
sk_assign sock even though it's probably not required in practice.

The current implementation was extracted from inet[6]_lhash2_lookup
in commit 80b373f74f9e ("inet: Extract helper for selecting socket
from reuseport group") and commit 5df6531292b5 ("inet6: Extract helper
for selecting socket from reuseport group"). In the original context,
sk is always in TCP_LISTEN state and so did not have a separate check.
Add documentation that specifies which sk_state are valid to pass to
the function.

There are currently four copies of reuseport_lookup: one each for
(TCP, UDP)x(IPv4, IPv6). This forces us to duplicate all callers of
those functions as well. This is already the case for sk_lookup
helpers (inet,inet6,udp4,udp6)_lookup_run_bpf.
There are two differences between the reuseport_lookup helpers:
1. They call different hash functions depending on protocol
2. UDP reuseport_lookup checks that sk_state != TCP_ESTABLISHED
Move the check for sk_state into the caller and use the INDIRECT_CALL
infrastructure to cut down the helpers to one per IP version.

can be invoked in the follow up commit. Export them so that building
DCCP and IPv6 as a module works.

The semantics for bpf_sk_assign are as follows:

That is, the sk is not consumed by bpf_sk_assign. The function
therefore needs to make sure that sk lives long enough to be
consumed from __inet_lookup_skb. The path through the stack for a

The existing helper takes advantage of the fact that everything
happens in the same RCU critical section: for sockets with
SOCK_RCU_FREE set bpf_sk_assign never takes a reference.
skb_steal_sock then checks SOCK_RCU_FREE again and does sock_put
if necessary.
This approach assumes that SOCK_RCU_FREE is never set on a sk
between bpf_sk_assign and skb_steal_sock, but this invariant is
violated by unhashed UDP sockets. A new UDP socket is created
in TCP_CLOSE state but without SOCK_RCU_FREE set. That flag is only
added in udp_lib_get_port() which happens when a socket is bound.
When bpf_sk_assign was added it wasn't possible to access unhashed
UDP sockets from BPF, so this wasn't a problem. This changed
in commit 0c48eefae712 ("sock_map: Lift socket state restriction
for datagram sockets"), but the helper wasn't adjusted accordingly.
The following sequence of events will therefore lead to a refcount
leak:
1. Add socket(AF_INET, SOCK_DGRAM) to a sockmap.
2. Pull socket out of sockmap and bpf_sk_assign it. Since
SOCK_RCU_FREE is not set we increment the refcount.
3. bind() or connect() the socket, setting SOCK_RCU_FREE.
4. skb_steal_sock will now set refcounted = false due to
SOCK_RCU_FREE.
5. tcp_v4_rcv() skips sock_put().
Fix the problem by rejecting unhashed sockets in bpf_sk_assign().
This matches the behaviour of __inet_lookup_skb which is ultimately
the goal of bpf_sk_assign().

Contrary to TCP, UDP reuseport groups can contain TCP_ESTABLISHED
sockets. To support these properly we remember whether a group has
a connected socket and skip the fast reuseport early-return. In
effect we continue scoring all reuseport sockets and then choose the
one with the highest score.
The current code fails to re-calculate the score for the result of
lookup_reuseport. According to Kuniyuki Iwashima:
1) SO_INCOMING_CPU is set
-> selected sk might have +1 score
2) BPF prog returns ESTABLISHED and/or SO_INCOMING_CPU sk
-> selected sk will have more than 8
Using the old score could trigger more lookups depending on the
order that sockets are created.

On GFX v9.4.3, compute queue MQD is populated using the values in HQD
persistent state register. Hence don't clear the values on module
unload, instead restore it to the default reset value so that MQD is
initialized correctly during next module load. In particular, preload
flag needs to be set on compute queue MQD, otherwise it could cause
uninitialized values being used at device reset state resulting in EDC.

[Why & How]
DMUB may hang when powering down pixel clocks due to no dprefclk.
It is fixed by exiting idle optimization before the attempt to access PHY.

[Description]
It is not valid to set the WDIVIDER value to 0, so do not
re-write to DISPCLK_WDIVIDER if the current value is 0
(i.e., it is at it's initial value and we have not made any
requests to change DISPCLK yet).

If the second call to amdgpu_bo_create_kernel() fails, the memory
allocated from the first call should be cleared. If the third call
fails, the memory from the second call should be cleared.
