devm_stmmac_probe_config_dt() already gets the PHY mode from firmware,
which is stored in plat_dat->phy_interface. Therefore, we don't need to
get it in platform code.
Rearrange the initialisation order so we can pass plat_dat into
anarion_config_dt(), thereby providing plat_dat->phy_interface as
necessary there.

The unhashed state check in __wait_on_freeing_inode() performed with
->i_lock held against remove_hash_inode() also holding the lock makes
another lock acquire in evict() completely spurious -- all potential
sleepers already dropped the lock before remove_hash_inode() acquired
it or they found the inode to be unhashed and aborted.
Note there is no trickery here: the usual cost of both sides taking
locks is still being paid, it just stops being paid twice.

The routine is used a lot, while the wakeup almost never has anyone to
deal with.
wake_up_all() takes an irq-protected spinlock, wq_has_sleeper() "only"
contains a full fence -- not free by any means, but still cheaper.
Sample result tracing waiters using a custom probe during -j 20 kernel
build (0 - no waiters, 1 - waiters):

try_lookup_one_len() is identical to lookup_one_unlocked() except that
it doesn't include the call to lookup_slow(). The latter doesn't need
the inode to be locked, so the former cannot either.
So fix the documentation, remove the WARN_ON and fix the only caller to
not take the lock.

A file pointer can get installed at any moment despite the ->file_lock
being held since the following:
8a81252b774b53e6 ("fs/file.c: don't acquire files->file_lock in fd_install()")
Accesses subject to such a race can in principle suffer load tearing.
While here redo the comment in dup_fd -- it only covered a race against
files showing up, still assuming fd_install() takes the lock.

If vfs_flush() is called with queue frozen, the queue freeze lock may be
connected with FS internal lock, and lockdep warning can be triggered
because the queue freeze lock is connected with too many global or
sub-system locks.
Fix the warning by moving vfs_fsync() out of loop_update_dio():
- vfs_fsync() is only needed when switching to dio
- only loop_change_fd() and loop_configure() may switch from buffered
IO to direct IO, so call vfs_fsync() directly here. This way is safe
because either loop is in unbound, or new file isn't attached
- for the other two cases of set_status and set_block_size, direct IO
can only become off, so no need to call vfs_fsync()

In recent kernels, there are lockdep splats around the
struct request_queue::io_lockdep_map, similar to [1], but they
typically don't show up until reclaim with writeback happens.
Having multiple kernel versions released with a known risc of kernel
deadlock during reclaim writeback should IMHO be addressed and
backported to -stable with the highest priority.
In order to have these lockdep splats show up earlier,
preferrably during system initialization, prime the
struct request_queue::io_lockdep_map as GFP_KERNEL reclaim-
tainted. This will instead lead to lockdep splats looking similar
to [2], but without the need for reclaim + writeback
happening.

The mute LED on this HP laptop uses ALC236 and requires a quirk to function.
This patch enables the existing quirk for the device.
Tested on my laptop and the LED behaviour works as intended.

Mixer quicks for the Pioneer DJM-A9 mixer was added in 5289d00 with
additional capture level values added to the common DJM array of values.
This breaks the existing DJM mixers however as alsa-utils relies on
enumeration of the actual mixer options based on the value array which
results in error when storing state.
This commit just separates the A9 values into a separate array and
references them in the corresponding mixer control.

-Wflex-array-member-not-at-end was introduced in GCC-14, and we are
getting ready to enable it, globally.
So, in order to avoid ending up with a flexible-array member in the
middle of multiple other structs, we use the `__struct_group()`
helper to create a new tagged `struct iwl_tx_cmd_hdr`. This structure
groups together all the members of the flexible `struct iwl_tx_cmd`
except the flexible array.
As a result, the array is effectively separated from the rest of the
members without modifying the memory layout of the flexible structure.
We then change the type of the middle struct members currently causing
trouble from `struct iwl_tx_cmd` to `struct iwl_tx_cmd_hdr`.
We also want to ensure that when new members need to be added to the
flexible structure, they are always included within the newly created
tagged struct. For this, we use `static_assert()`. This ensures that the
memory layout for both the flexible structure and the new tagged struct
is the same after any changes.
This approach avoids having to implement `struct iwl_tx_cmd_hdr`
as a completely separate structure, thus preventing having to maintain
two independent but basically identical structures, closing the door
to potential bugs in the future.
So, with these changes, fix the following warnings:

Roll-back to use iwlmvm for those devices. iwlmld will support wifi7
capable devices only. The firmware for the non-wifi7 capable will soon
be frozen and we don't want iwlmld to have to support devices that will
require the old APIs.

tcp_in_quickack_mode() is called from input path for small packets.
It calls __sk_dst_get() which reads sk->sk_dst_cache which has been
put in sock_read_tx group (for good reasons).
Then dst_metric(dst, RTAX_QUICKACK) also needs extra cache line misses.
Cache RTAX_QUICKACK in icsk->icsk_ack.dst_quick_ack to no longer pull
these cache lines for the cases a delayed ACK is scheduled.
After this patch TCP receive path does not longer access sock_read_tx
group.

For 'ti,j7200-cpb-audio' compatible, there is support for only one PLL for
48k. For 11025, 22050, 44100 and 88200 sampling rates, due to absence of
J721E_CLK_PARENT_44100, we get EINVAL while running any audio application.
Add support for these rates by using the 48k parent clock and adjusting
the clock for these rates later in j721e_configure_refclk.

In the following patch, we no longer assume inet_frag_kill()
callers own a reference.
Consuming two refcounts from inet_frag_kill() would lead in UAF.
Propagate the pointer to the refs that will be consumed later

fib_check_nh_v6_gw() expects that fib6_nh_init() cleans up everything
when it fails.
Commit 7dd73168e273 ("ipv6: Always allocate pcpu memory in a fib6_nh")
moved fib_nh_common_init() before alloc_percpu_gfp() within fib6_nh_init()
but forgot to add cleanup for fib6_nh->nh_common.nhc_pcpu_rth_output in
case it fails to allocate fib6_nh->rt6i_pcpu, resulting in memleak.
Let's call fib_nh_common_release() and clear nhc_pcpu_rth_output in the
error path.
Note that we can remove the fib6_nh_release() call in nh_create_ipv6()
later in net-next.git.

We use CD/DVD drives under Marvell 88SE9215 SATA controller on many
Loongson-based machines. We found its PIO doesn't work well, and on the
opposite its DMA seems work very well.
We don't know the detail of the 88SE9215 SATA controller, but we have
tested different CD/DVD drives and they all have problems under 88SE9215
(but they all work well under an Intel SATA controller). So, we consider
this problem is bound to 88SE9215 SATA controller rather than bound to
CD/DVD drives.
As a solution, we define a new dedicated AHCI board id which is named
board_ahci_yes_fbs_atapi_dma for 88SE9215, and for this id we set the
AHCI_HFLAG_ATAPI_DMA_QUIRK and ATA_QUIRK_ATAPI_MOD16_DMA flags on the
SATA controller in order to prefer ATAPI DMA.

The UDP tunnel GRO stage is source of measurable overhead for workload
based on UDP-encapsulated traffic: each incoming packets requires a full
UDP socket lookup and an indirect call.
In the most common setups a single UDP tunnel device is used. In such
case we can optimize both the lookup and the indirect call.
Patch 1 tracks per netns the active UDP tunnels and replaces the socket
lookup with a single destination port comparison when possible.
Patch 2 tracks the different types of UDP tunnels and replaces the
indirect call with a static one when there is a single UDP tunnel type
active.
I measure ~5% performance improvement in TCP over UDP tunnel stream
tests on top of this series.

It's quite common to have a single UDP tunnel type active in the
whole system. In such a case we can replace the indirect call for
the UDP tunnel GRO callback with a static call.
Add the related accounting in the control path and switch to static
call when possible. To keep the code simple use a static array for
the registered tunnel types, and size such array based on the kernel
config.

Most UDP tunnels bind a socket to a local port, with ANY address, no
peer and no interface index specified.
Additionally it's quite common to have a single tunnel device per
namespace.
Track in each namespace the UDP tunnel socket respecting the above.
When only a single one is present, store a reference in the netns.
When such reference is not NULL, UDP tunnel GRO lookup just need to
match the incoming packet destination port vs the socket local port.
The tunnel socket never sets the reuse[port] flag[s]. When bound to no
address and interface, no other socket can exist in the same netns
matching the specified local port.
Matching packets with non-local destination addresses will be
aggregated, and eventually segmented as needed - no behavior changes
intended.
Note that the UDP tunnel socket reference is stored into struct
netns_ipv4 for both IPv4 and IPv6 tunnels. That is intentional to keep
all the fastpath-related netns fields in the same struct and allow
cacheline-based optimization. Currently both the IPv4 and IPv6 socket
pointer share the same cacheline as the `udp_table` field.

According to GDMA protocol, holes (zeros) are allowed at the beginning
or middle of the gdma_list_devices_resp message. The existing code
cannot properly handle this, and may miss some devices in the list.
To fix, scan the entire list until the num_of_devs are found, or until
the end of the list.

Registering the interrupts for TX or RX DMA Channels prior to registering
their respective NAPI callbacks can result in a NULL pointer dereference.
This is seen in practice as a random occurrence since it depends on the
randomness associated with the generation of traffic by Linux and the
reception of traffic from the wire.
