2016-07-16KVM: VMX: handle PML full VMEXIT that occurs during event deliveryCao, Lei
With PML enabled, guest will shut down if a PML full VMEXIT occurs during event delivery. According to Intel SDM 27.2.3, PML full VMEXIT can occur when event is being delivered through IDT, so KVM should not exit to user space with error. Instead, it should let EXIT_REASON_PML_FULL go through and the event will be re-injected on the next VMENTRY. Signed-off-by: Lei Cao <lei.cao@stratus.com> Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org Fixes: 843e4330573c ("KVM: VMX: Add PML support in VMX") [Shortened the summary and Cc'd stable.] Signed-off-by: Radim Krčmář <rkrcmar@redhat.com>
2016-07-16Revert "KVM: SVM: fix trashing of MSR_TSC_AUX"Radim Krčmář
This reverts commit 9770404a0061ec46dec6e15c4b07731ce2e2d7bb. The reverted patch is not needed as only userspace uses RDTSCP and MSR_TSC_AUX is in host_save_user_msrs[] and therefore properly saved in svm_vcpu_load() and restored in svm_vcpu_put() before every switch to userspace. The reverted patch did not allow the kernel to use RDTSCP in the future, because of missed trashing in svm_set_msr() and 64-bit ifdef. This reverts commit 2b23c3a6e3eb2fba77eb35fdfa3d71a9aa3f33b7. 2b23c3a6e3eb ("KVM: SVM: do not set MSR_TSC_AUX on 32-bit builds") is a build fix for 9770404a0061 and reverting them separately would only break more bisections. 2016-07-16[media] cxd2841er: fix signal strength scale for ISDB-TMauro Carvalho Chehab
The scale for ISDB-T was wrong too: it was inverted, and on a relative scale. Use a linear interpolation to make it look better. The formula was empirically determined, using 3 frequencies (175 MHz, 410 MHz and 800 MHz), measuring from -50dBm to -12dBm in steps of 0.5dB. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2016-07-16[media] cxd2841er: adjust the dB scale for DVB-CMauro Carvalho Chehab
Instead of using a relative frequency range, calibrate it to show the results in dB. The callibration was done getting samples with a signal generated from -50dBm to -12dBm, incremented in steps of 0.5 dB, using 3 frequencies: 175 MHz, 410 MHz and 800 MHz. The modulated signal was using QAM64, and it was used a linear interpolation of all the results. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2016-07-16[media] cxd2841er: provide signal strength for DVB-CMauro Carvalho Chehab
Currently, there's no stats for DVB-C. Let's at least return signal strength. The scale is different than on DVB-T, so let's use a relative scale, for now. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2016-07-16[media] cxd2841er: fix BER report via DVBv5 stats APIMauro Carvalho Chehab
What userspace expects is to receive both bit_error and bit_count counters. So, instead of doing the division at the Kernel, return the counters for userspace to handle it the way it wants. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>

2016-07-16ACPI / lpat: make it explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker
The Makefile for building this is "acpi-y" and so it is not built as a module. Hence including module.h and everything that comes with it just for the no-op MODULE_LICENSE is rather heavy handed. The license info is found at the top of the file, so we just remove the MODULE_LICENSE and the include of module.h We add an include of export.h since the file exports some symbols. 2016-07-16ACPI / dock: make dock explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker
The Kconfig for this file is: drivers/acpi/Kconfig:config ACPI_DOCK drivers/acpi/Kconfig: bool "Dock" ...and so it is not built as a module. Hence including module.h and everything that comes with it just for the no-op MODULE_LICENSE and friends is rather heavy handed. The license/author info is found at the top of the file, so we just remove the MODULE_LICENSE etc and the include of module.h The file does still have some module_param() so we add the right include for that infrastructure. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>
2016-07-16ACPI / PCI: make pci_slot explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker
The Kconfig for this file is: drivers/acpi/Kconfig:config ACPI_PCI_SLOT drivers/acpi/Kconfig: bool "PCI slot detection driver" ...and so it is not built as a module. Hence including module.h and everything that comes with it just for the no-op MODULE_LICENSE and friends is rather heavy handed. The license/author info is found at the top of the file, so we just remove the MODULE_LICENSE etc and the include of module.h We delete the DRIVER_VERSION macro as well since it is unused. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com>
2016-07-16ACPI / PMIC: remove modular references from non-modular codePaul Gortmaker
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of these files are: drivers/acpi/Kconfig:menuconfig PMIC_OPREGION drivers/acpi/Kconfig: bool "PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) operation region support" drivers/acpi/Kconfig:config BXT_WC_PMIC_OPREGION drivers/acpi/Kconfig: bool "ACPI operation region support for BXT WhiskeyCove PMIC" drivers/acpi/Kconfig:config XPOWER_PMIC_OPREGION drivers/acpi/Kconfig: bool "ACPI operation region support for XPower AXP288 PMIC" ...meaning they currently are not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the couple traces of modular infrastructure use, so that when reading the code there is no doubt it is builtin-only. We delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. One file was using module_init. Since module_init translates to device_initcall in the non-modular case, the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. In one case we replace the module.h with export.h since that file is exporting some symbols, but does not use __init. The other two are using __init and so module.h gets replaced with init.h there. 2016-07-15f2fs: reset default idle interval valueChao Yu
The default value of idle interval is 2 mins, but for most time when screen shutdown, there are still operations during the 2 mins interval, and gc's sleep time is about 30 secs to 60 secs, so there is almost no chance for GC thread to do garbage collecting.
