This reverts commit f895c53f8ace3c3e49ebf9def90e63fc6d46d2bf.
This commit causes a NFSv4 regression in that close()+unlink() can end
up failing. The reason is that we no longer have a guarantee that the
CLOSE has completed on the server, meaning that the subsequent call to
REMOVE may fail with NFS4ERR_FILE_OPEN if the server implements Windows
unlink() semantics.

Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai:
"There are little changes in core part, but lots of development are
found in drivers, especially ASoC. The diffstat shows regmap-related
changes for a slight API additions / changes, and that's all.
Looking at the code size statistics, the most significant addition is
for Intel Skylake. (Note that SKL support is still underway, the
codec driver is missing.) Also STI controller driver is a major
addition as well as a few new codec drivers.
In HD-audio side, there are fewer changes than the past. The
noticeable change is the support of ELD notification from i915
graphics driver. Thus this pull request carries a few changes in
drm/i915.
Other than that, USB-audio got a rewrite of runtime PM code. It was
initiated by lockdep warning, but resulted in a good cleanup in the
end.
Below are the highlights:

- Factoring out of AC'97 reset code from ASoC into the core helper
- A few regmap API extensions (in case it's not pulled yet)
ASoC:

[ The Kconfig and Makefile entries got re-sorted alphabetically, and I
handled the conflict with the new Intel integrated IDMA driver by
slightly mis-sorting it on purpose: "IDMA64" got sorted after "IMX" in
order to keep the Intel entries together. I think it might be a good
idea to just rename the IDMA64 config entry to INTEL_IDMA64 to make
the sorting be a true sort, not this mismash.
Also, this merge disables the COMPILE_TEST for the sun4i DMA
controller, because it does not compile cleanly at all. - Linus ]

"This is the bulk of pin control changes for the v4.3 development
cycle.
Like with GPIO it's a lot of stuff. If my subsystems are any sign of
the overall tempo of the kernel v4.3 will be a gigantic diff.

Core changes:
- It is possible configure groups in debugfs.
- Consolidation of chained IRQ handler install/remove replacing all
call sites where irq_set_handler_data() and
irq_set_chained_handler() were done in succession with a combined
call to irq_set_chained_handler_and_data(). This series was
created by Thomas Gleixner after the problem was observed by
Russell King.
- Tglx also made another series of patches switching
__irq_set_handler_locked() for irq_set_handler_locked() which is
way cleaner.
- Tglx also wrote a good bunch of patches to make use of
irq_desc_get_xxx() accessors and avoid looking up irq_descs from
IRQ numbers. The goal is to get rid of the irq number from the
handlers in the IRQ flow which is nice.
Driver feature enhancements:
- Power management support for the SiRF SoC Atlas 7.
- Power down support for the Qualcomm driver.
- Intel Cherryview and Baytrail: switch drivers to use raw spinlocks
in IRQ handlers to play nice with the realtime patch set.

"This is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v4.3 kernel cycle.
There is quite a lot going on in the GPIO subsystem this merge window,
so the main matter is decribed below.
The hits in other subsystems when making the GPIO flags optional are
all ACKed by their respective subsystem maintainers.
Core changes:
- Root out the wrapper devm_gpiod_get() and gpiod_get() etc versions
of the descriptor calls that did not use the flags argument on the
end. This was around for too long and eventually Uwe Kleine-König
took the time to clean it out and the last users are removed along
with the macros in this tag. In several cases the use of flags
simplifies the code. For this reason we have (ACKed) patches
hitting in DRM, IIO, media, NFC, USB+PHY up until we hammer in the
nail with removing the macros.
- Add a fat document describing how much ready-made GPIO stuff we
have i the kernel to discourage people from reinventing a square
wheel in userspace, as so often happens.
- Create a separate lockdep class for each instance of a GPIO IRQ
chip instead of using one class for all chips, as the current code
will not work with systems with several GPIO chips doing lockdep
debugging.
- Protect against driver unloading also when a GPIO line is only used
as IRQ for the GPIOLIB_IRQCHIP helpers.
- If the GPIO chip has no designated owner, assign the parent device
driver owner as owner.
- Consolidation of chained IRQ handler install/remove replacing all
call sites where irq_set_handler_data() and

This was an ARM specific function that is replaced with the generic

- When an OF node has a pin range for its GPIOs, return -EPROBE_DEFER
if the pin controller isn't available. Pretty logical, yet needed
to be fixed.
- If a driver using GPIOLIB_IRQCHIP has its own irq_*_resources call
back, then call these instead of the defaults provided by the
GPIOLIB.
- Fix an undocumented ABI hole: named GPIOs were not properly
documented.
Driver improvements:
- Add get_direction() support to the generic GPIO driver, it's
strange that we didn't have that before.
- Make it possible to have input-only GPIO chips using the generic
GPIO driver.
- Clean out platform data support from the Emma Mobile (EM) driver
- Finegrained runtime PM support for the RCAR driver.
- Support r8a7795 (R-car H3) in the RCAR driver.
- Support interrupts on GPIOs 16 thru 31 in the DaVinci driver.
- Some consolidation and new support in the MPC8xxx driver, we now
support MPC5125.
- Preempt-RT-friendly patches: the OMAP, MPC8xxx, drivers uses raw
spinlocks making it work better with the realime patches.
- Interrupt support for the EXTRAXFS GPIO driver.
- Make the ETRAXFS GPIO driver support also ARTPEC-3.
- Interrupt and wakeup support for the BRCMSTB driver, also for
wakeup from S5 cold boot.
- Mask MXC IRQs during suspend.
- Improve OMAP2 GPIO set_debounce() to work according to spec.
- The VF610 driver handles IRQs properly.

Showing actual trace event when deleteing perf events is only needed in
perf probe command. But the add functionality itself can be used by
other places. So move the printing code into the cmd_probe().
The output is not changed.

The del_perf_probe_events() does 2 things:
1. find existing events which match to filter
2. delete such trace events from kernel
But sometimes we need to do something with the trace events. So split
the funtion into two, so that it can access intermediate trace events
name using strlist if needed.

Showing actual trace event when adding perf events is only needed in
perf probe command. But the add functionality itself can be used by
other places. So move the printing code into the cmd_probe().
Also it combines the output if more than one event is added.
Before:
$ sudo perf probe -a do_fork -a do_exit
Added new event:
probe:do_fork (on do_fork)
You can now use it in all perf tools, such as:
perf record -e probe:do_fork -aR sleep 1
Added new events:
probe:do_exit (on do_exit)
probe:do_exit_1 (on do_exit)
You can now use it in all perf tools, such as:

This patch drops struct __event_package structure. Instead, it adds a
'struct trace_probe_event' pointer to 'struct perf_probe_event'.
The trace_probe_event information gives further patches a chance to
access actual probe points and actual arguments.
Using them, 'perf probe' can get the whole list of added probes and
print them at once.
Other users like the upcoming bpf_loader will be able to attach one bpf
program to different probing points of an inline function (which has
multiple probing points) and glob functions.
Moreover, by reading the arguments information, bpf code for reading
those arguments can be generated.

Currently context size (cra_ctxsize) doesn't specified for
ghash_async_alg. Which means it's zero. Thus crypto_create_tfm()
doesn't allocate needed space for ghash_async_ctx, so any
read/write to ctx (e.g. in ghash_async_init_tfm()) is not valid.

Add support for selecting and processing PERF_RECORD_SWITCH events for
use by Intel PT. If they are available, they will be used in preference
to sched_switch events.
This enables an unprivileged user to trace multi-threaded or
multi-process workloads with any level of perf_event_paranoid. However
it depends on kernel support for PERF_RECORD_SWITCH.
Without this patch, tracing a multi-threaded workload will decode
without error but all the data will be attributed to the main thread.
Without this patch, tracing a multi-process workload will result in
decoder errors because the decoder will not know which executable is
executing.

The MPX instructions are presently not described in the SDM
opcode maps, and there are not encoding characters for bnd
registers, address method or operand type. So the kernel
opcode map is using 'Gv' for bnd registers and 'Ev' for
everything else. That is fine because the instruction
decoder does not use that information anyway, except as
an indication that there is a ModR/M byte.
Nevertheless, in some cases the 'Gv' and 'Ev' are the wrong
way around, BNDLDX and BNDSTX have 2 operands not 3, and it
wouldn't hurt to identify the mandatory prefixes.
This has no effect on the decoding of valid instructions,
but the addition of the mandatory prefixes will cause some
invalid instructions to error out that wouldn't have
previously.
Note that perf tools has a copy of the instruction decoder
and provides a test for new instructions which includes MPX
instructions e.g.
$ perf test "x86 ins"

Add a new test titled:
Test x86 instruction decoder - new instructions
The purpose of this test is to check the instruction decoder after new
instructions have been added. Initially, MPX instructions are tested
which are already supported, but the definitions in x86-opcode-map.txt
will be tweaked in a subsequent patch, after which this test can be run
to verify those changes.
The data for the test comes from assembly language instructions in
insn-x86-dat-src.c which is converted into bytes by the scripts
gen-insn-x86-dat.sh and gen-insn-x86-dat.awk, and included into the test
program insn-x86.c as insn-x86-dat-32.c and insn-x86-dat-64.c.
The conversion is not done as part of the perf tools build because the
test data must be under (git) change control in order for the test to be
repeatably-correct. Also it may require a recent version of binutils.

perf tools has a copy of the x86 instruction decoder used by the kernel.
The expectation is that the copy will be kept more-or-less in-synch with
the kernel version. Consequently it is helpful to know if there are
differences.
This patch adds a check into the perf tools build so that a diff is done
on the sources, and a warning is printed if they are different. Note
that the warning is not fatal and the build continues as normal.
The check is done as part of building the instruction decoder, so, like
a compiler warning, it is not seen unless the instruction decoder has to
be re-compiled. e.g.
$ make -C tools/perf >/dev/null
$ echo "/* blah */" >> tools/perf/util/intel-pt-decoder/inat_types.h

Add FSTYPE__configured() (where FSTYPE is one of sysfs, procfs, debugfs,
tracefs) interface that returns bool state of the filesystem mount:
true - mounted, false - not mounted
It will not try to mount the filesystem.

Moving debugfs__strerror_open out of api/fs/debugfs.c, because it's not
debugfs specific. It'll be changed to consider tracefs mount as well in
following patches.
Renaming it into tracing_path__strerror_open_tp to fit into the
namespace. No functional change is intended.

Moving tracing_path interface into api/fs/tracing_path.c out of util.c.
It seems generic enough to be used by others, and I couldn't think of
better place.
