2014-01-08batman-adv: remove parenthesis from return statementsAntonio Quartulli
Remove parenthesis around return expression as suggested by checkpatch. Signed-off-by: Antonio Quartulli <antonio@meshcoding.com> Signed-off-by: Marek Lindner <mareklindner@neomailbox.ch>
2014-01-08batman-adv: rename gw_deselect() to gw_reselect()Antonio Quartulli
The function batadv_gw_deselect() is actually not deselecting anything. It is just informing the GW code to perform a re-election procedure when possible. The current gateway is not being touched at all and therefore the name of this function is rather misleading. Rename it to batadv_gw_reselect() to batadv_gw_reselect() to make its behaviour easier to grasp. 2014-01-08batman-adv: deselect current GW on client mode switch offAntonio Quartulli
When switching from gw_mode client to either off or server the current selected gateway has to be deselected. In this way when client mode is enabled again a gateway re-election is forced and a GW_ADD event is consequently sent. The current behaviour instead is to keep the current gateway leading to no GW_ADD event when gw_mode client is selected for a second time Signed-off-by: Antonio Quartulli <antonio@open-mesh.com> Signed-off-by: Marek Lindner <mareklindner@neomailbox.ch> Signed-off-by: Antonio Quartulli <antonio@meshcoding.com>
2014-01-08batman-adv: remove FSF address from GPL disclaimerAntonio Quartulli
As suggested by checkpatch, remove all the references to the FSF address since the kernel already has one reference in its documentation. In this way it is easier to update it in case of future changes. Signed-off-by: Antonio Quartulli <antonio@meshcoding.com> Signed-off-by: Marek Lindner <mareklindner@neomailbox.ch>
2014-01-08batman-adv: don't switch byte order too often if not neededAntonio Quartulli
If possible, operations like ntohs/ntohl should not be performed too often. Use a variable to locally store the converted value and then use it. 2014-01-08xhci: Set scatter-gather limit to avoid failed block writes.Sarah Sharp
Commit 35773dac5f862cb1c82ea151eba3e2f6de51ec3e "usb: xhci: Link TRB must not occur within a USB payload burst" attempted to fix an issue found with USB ethernet adapters, and inadvertently broke USB storage devices. The patch attempts to ensure that transfers never span a segment, and rejects transfers that have more than 63 entries (or possibly less, if some entries cross 64KB boundaries). usb-storage limits the maximum transfer size to 120K, and we had assumed the block layer would pass a scatter-gather list of 4K entries, resulting in no more than 31 sglist entries: http://marc.info/?l=linux-usb&m=138498190419312&w=2 That assumption was wrong, since we've seen the driver reject a write that was 218 sectors long (of probably 512 bytes each): Jan 1 07:04:49 jidanni5 kernel: [ 559.624704] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: Too many fragments 79, max 63 ... That should be margin enough in case some entries cross 64KB boundaries. Increase the number of TRBs per segment from 64 to 256, which should result in ring segments fitting on a 4K page. 2014-01-08xhci: Avoid infinite loop when sg urb requires too many trbsBen Hutchings
Currently prepare_ring() returns -ENOMEM if the urb won't fit into a single ring segment. usb_sg_wait() treats this error as a temporary condition and will keep retrying until something else goes wrong. The number of retries should be limited in usb_sg_wait(), but also prepare_ring() should not return an error code that suggests it might be worth retrying. Change it to -EINVAL. 2014-01-08ARM: dts: OMAP2: fix interrupt number for rngSuman Anna
The irq data for rng module defined in hwmod data previously missed the OMAP_INTC_START relative offset, so the interrupt number is probably misconfigured during the DT node addition adjusting for this OMAP_INTC_START. 2014-01-08ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Move legacy GPMC width settingEzequiel Garcia
After the introduction of gpmc_set_legacy(), move the GPMC width setting to be done inside it. Currently, in the DT probed case, this is (wrongly) done twice: first at gpmc_read_settings_dt(), and then based in the NAND width setting. Fix this and use only the value obtained from the DT. 2014-01-08ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Introduce gpmc_set_legacy()Ezequiel Garcia
Introduce a helper function to complete the setting of some GPMC parameters, only used when the gpmc is probed from a board file. As such, it will go away once the DT conversion is completed. 2014-01-08ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Move initialization outside the gpmc_t conditionEzequiel Garcia

2014-01-08clk: max77686: Correct callback used for checking clock statusTomasz Figa
Changing status of clock gates in max77686 requires i2c transfers, which can sleep, so this is done in prepare and unprepare callbacks. Due to this, checking whether whether the clock is ungated must be done in is_prepared() callback as well, for consistency. 2014-01-08ARM: OMAP2+: board-generic: update SoC compatibility stringsNishanth Menon

2014-01-08Documentation: dt: OMAP: explicitly state SoC compatible stringsNishanth Menon
SoC family definitions at the moment are reactive to board needs. This results in potentially wrong matches taking place for board types. Eventually, we will have descriptors match only with SoC types and should not contain anything specific to board handling and pave the way to getting rid of soc_is_XYZ checks and allow this determination done with matches at of level. Existing implicit definitions(as part of board descriptions) are explicitly documented. NOTE: Even though we prefer to have dt compatibility to explicit, "ti,dra7xx", "ti,am33xx", "ti,omap36xx" preexist in current dts and are maintained for backward compatibility. It is also expected that any future SoC addition will keep this documentation updated. Signed-off-by: Nishanth Menon <nm@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

2014-01-08ASoC: fsl-ssi: Move RX/TX configuration to seperate functionsMarkus Pargmann
This patch defines the appropriate register values for different oparation modes and IP versions. We have to handle DMA/FIQ, AC97, DEBUG-IRQs and offline/online configuration support. With this patch we cleanup some driver code that was not reference manual conform and try to cleanup the whole trigger function to seperate the actual register values from the enable/disable logic, which is now hidden in fsl_ssi_config helpers. 2014-01-08ASoC: fsl-ssi: Add configuration helper functionsMarkus Pargmann
This patch adds a struct 'fsl_ssi_rxtx_reg_val' which holds register values necessary to enable rx/tx. Based on those preset register values, the added configuration functions will cleanly enable/disable different parts of the SSI IP while supporting online/offline configuration. Different operating modes can be setup directly as different register values in fsl_ssi_reg_val. These functions and structs will help to cleanup and simplify the trigger function to support many different IP versions (online/offline configuration) and different operating modes. 2014-01-08ASoC: fsl-ssi: Fix interrupt stats for imxMarkus Pargmann
irqs should only be requested/released with enabled DMA. Previously interrupt statistics where disabled for IMX Processors because of different writeable SISR bits. 2014-01-08ASoC: fsl-ssi: Add imx51-ssi and of_device_id matchingMarkus Pargmann
There is a small but significant difference between imx21-ssi and imx51-ssi and above. imx21-ssi does not allow online reconfiguration of some registers. They have to be configured at the beginning. imx51-ssi has to reconfigure the SSI unit while it is running. Otherwise it would not be possible to have two streams in parallel. The new SDMA unit in imx51 and above has to be configured before the first DMA request arrives. Therefor we need to setup TDMAE/RDMAE just before starting the stream. This patch introduces distinct imx51-ssi as compatible and adds of_device_id matching in the probe function. 2014-01-08ASoC: fsl-ssi: Move sysfs stats to debugfsMarkus Pargmann
