Original commit 2bda8a0c8af... "Disable router anycast
address for /127 prefixes" says:
| No need for matching code in addrconf_leave_anycast() as it
| will silently ignore any attempt to leave an unknown anycast
| address.
After analysis, because 1) we may add two or more prefixes on the
same interface, or 2)user may have manually joined that anycast,
we may hit chances to have anycast address which as if we had
generated one by /127 prefix and we should not leave from subnet-
router anycast address unconditionally.

The docs say the port has to come on in training pattern 1; at this
point, though, ->DP is in normal mode. The intent here is to wait
until the port is in fact sending data, but that doesn't happen since
we've broken the sequence the hardware expects, and the vblank wait will
time out and kvetch in the log.

The DP spec says training patterns 1 and 2 are to be sent non-scrambled,
and the GPU docs claim that happens (or at least, there's no explicit
scrambling control). But the sink may be confused if we don't
explicitly tell it what we're doing, so play it safe.

Consider a 1600x900 panel, upscaling a 1360x768 mode, full-aspect. The
old math would give you:
scaled_width = 1600 * 768; /* 1228800 */
scaled_height = 1360 * 900; /* 1224000 */
if (scaled_width > scaled_height) { /* pillarbox, and true */
width = 1224000 / 768; /* int(1593.75) = 1593 */
x = (1600 - 1593 + 1) / 2; /* 4 */
y = 0;
height = 768;
} /* ... */
This is broken. The total width of scanout would then be 1593 + 4 + 4,
or 1601, which is wider than the panel itself. The hardware very
dutifully implements this, and you end up with a black 45° diagonal from
the top-left corner to the bottom edge of the screen. It's a cool
effect and all, but not what you wanted. Similar things happen for the
letterbox case.
The problem is that you have an integer number of pixels, which means
it's usually impossible to upscale equally on both axes. 1360/768 is
1.7708, 1600/900 is 1.7777. Since we're constrained on the one axis,
the other one wants to come out as an even number of pixels (the panel
is almost certainly even on both axes, and the x/y offsets will be
applied on both sides). In the math above, if 'width' comes out even,
rounding down is correct; if it's odd, you'd rather round up. So just
increment width/height in those cases.
Tested on a Lenovo T500 (Ironlake).

a regression when we have already mounted //server/share/a
and want to mount //server/share/a/b.
The problem is that lookup_one_len calls __lookup_hash
with nd pointer as NULL. Then __lookup_hash calls
do_revalidate in the case when dentry exists and we end
up with NULL pointer deference in cifs_d_revalidate:

return -ECHILD;
Fix this by checking nd for NULL.

Hotplug detection is a mode setting operation and must hold the
struct_mutex or risk colliding with other mode setting operations.
In particular, the display port hotplug function attempts to re-train
the link if the monitor is supposed to be running when plugged back
in. If that happens while mode setting is underway, the link will get
scrambled, leaving it in an inconsistent state.
This is a special case -- usually the driver mode setting entry points
are covered by the upper level DRM code, but in this case the function
is invoked as a work function not under the control of DRM.

Introduce a generic directory entry structure, and factor the parsing
of the various on the wire structures that can represent one into
a common helper. Switch cifs_entry_is_dot over to use it as a start.

I also removed the BUG_ON from error return of find_next_chunk in
init_first_rw_device(). It turns out that the only caller of
init_first_rw_device() also BUGS on any nonzero return so no actual behavior
change has occurred here.
do_chunk_alloc() also needed an update since it calls btrfs_alloc_chunk()
which can now return -ENOMEM. Instead of setting space_info->full on any
error from btrfs_alloc_chunk() I catch and return every error value _except_
-ENOSPC. Thanks goes to Tsutomu Itoh for pointing that issue out.

So those friggin "spurious" PERF_RECORD_MMAP events were actually a
brain fart copy'n'paste error in the python binding, doh. I.e. they
weren't MMAPs, just SAMPLEs.
Fix it by providing routines for these events instead of using the MMAP
ones.

Declare myself the maintainer of the lm78 driver. I still have a
running system with one of these chips.
Also count myself as a co-author of the driver. With 34 commits over

We should only include support for the ISA interface of the LM78/LM79
if CONFIG_ISA is set. Not only this makes the driver somewhat smaller
on most architectures, but this also avoids poking at random I/O
ports on these architectures.
This is very similiar to what was done for the w83781d driver in
October 2008.

This patch adds a new driver for SMSC SCH5636 Super I/O chips.
The chips include an embedded microcontroller for hardware monitoring
solutions, allowing motherboard manufacturers to create their own
custom hwmon solution based upon the SCH5636.
Currently the sch5636 driver only supports the Fujitsu Theseus SCH5636
based hwmon solution. The sch5636 driver runs a sanity check on
loading to ensure it is dealing with a Fujitsu Theseus and not with
another custom SCH5636 based hwmon solution.

nfs_mark_return_delegation() is usually called without any locking, and
so it is not safe to dereference delegation->inode. Since the inode is
only used to discover the nfs_client anyway, it makes more sense to
have the callers pass a valid pointer to the nfs_server as a parameter.

If the task that initiated the sillyrename ends up being killed by a
fatal signal, then it will eventually return back to userspace and end
up releasing the i_mutex. d_move however needs to be done while holding
the i_mutex.
Instead of using d_move here, just unhash the old and new dentries to
prevent them from being found by lookups. With this change though, the
dentries are now incorrect post-rename and do not reflect the actual
name of the file on the server. I'm proceeding under the assumption
that since they are unhashed that this isn't really a problem.
In order for the sillydelete to still work though, the dname must be
copied earlier when setting up the sillydelete info, and the name must
be recopied if the sillydelete info has to be moved to a new dentry.
