git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-linus Felipe writes: usb: fixes for v3.11-rc1 Quite a few changes going on here. They have been boot tested on OMAP5 and compile tested on ARM and x86 with different defconfigs. Many gadget drivers got a depends on HAS_DMA in order to prevent build failures on !HAS_DMA architectures. DWC3 learned how to allow a gadget driver to be modprobed after an unsuccessful modprobe of another gadget driver. It also got a fix to a wrong bit mask in dwc3_event_type, and learns to return proper error codes from failed usb3_phy initialization. RNDIS function driver can now be built with configfs. at91_udc now knows that we need to prepare the clock before enabling it. renesas_usbhs now lets gadget drivers be modprobed multiple times. phy-omap-usb3 got a fix for the DPLL settings. mv_u3d_core now passes the correct cookie to free_irq(). fotg210-udc got Section mismatch fixes. 2013-07-16sysfs: use file mode defines from stat.hOliver Schinagl
With the last patches stat.h was included to the header, and thus those permission defines should be used. Signed-off-by: Oliver Schinagl <oliver@schinagl.nl> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-07-16sysfs: add more helper macro's for (bin_)attribute(_groups)Oliver Schinagl
With the recent changes to sysfs there's various helper macro's. However there's no RW, RO BIN_ helper macro's. This patch adds them. Signed-off-by: Oliver Schinagl <oliver@schinagl.nl> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-07-16driver core: add default groups to struct classGreg Kroah-Hartman
We should be using groups, not attribute lists, for classes to allow subdirectories, and soon, binary files. Groups are just more flexible overall, so add them. The dev_attrs list will go away after all in-kernel users are converted to use dev_groups. 2013-07-16driver core: Introduce device_create_groupsGuenter Roeck
device_create_groups lets callers create devices as well as associated sysfs attributes with a single call. This avoids race conditions seen if sysfs attributes on new devices are created later. 2013-07-16sysfs: prevent warning when only using binary attributesOliver Schinagl
When only using bin_attrs instead of attrs the kernel prints a warning and refuses to create the sysfs entry. This fixes that. Signed-off-by: Oliver Schinagl <oliver@schinagl.nl> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-07-16sysfs: add support for binary attributes in groupsGreg Kroah-Hartman
groups should be able to support binary attributes, just like it supports "normal" attributes. This lets us only handle one type of structure, groups, throughout the driver core and subsystems, making binary attributes a "full fledged" part of the driver model, and not something just "tacked on". 2013-07-16sysfs.h: add BIN_ATTR macroGreg Kroah-Hartman

2013-07-16sysfs.h: add ATTRIBUTE_GROUPS() macroGreg Kroah-Hartman

2013-07-16ASoC: sgtl5000: defer the probe if clock is not foundShawn Guo
It's not always the case that clock is already available when sgtl5000 get probed at the first time, e.g. the clock is provided by CPU DAI which may be probed after sgtl5000. So let's defer the probe when devm_clk_get() call fails and give it chance to try later. It fixes the regression on imx28 since commit 9e13f34 (ASoC: sgtl5000: Let the codec acquire its clock). 2013-07-16ext4: call ext4_es_lru_add() after handling cache missTheodore Ts'o
If there are no items in the extent status tree, ext4_es_lru_add() is a no-op. So it is not sufficient to call ext4_es_lru_add() before we try to lookup an entry in the extent status tree. We also need to call it at the end of ext4_ext_map_blocks(), after items have been added to the extent status tree. This could lead to inodes with that have extent status trees but which are not in the LRU list, which means they won't get considered for eviction by the es_shrinker. 2013-07-15x86, suspend: Handle CPUs which fail to #GP on RDMSRH. Peter Anvin
There are CPUs which have errata causing RDMSR of a nonexistent MSR to not fault. We would then try to WRMSR to restore the value of that MSR, causing a crash. Specifically, some Pentium M variants would have this problem trying to save and restore the non-existent EFER, causing a crash on resume. Work around this by making sure we can write back the result at suspend time. Huge thanks to Christian Sünkenberg for finding the offending erratum that finally deciphered the mystery.
