This device presents a total of 5 interfaces with ff/ff/ff class/subclass/protocol. The last one of these is verified to be a QMI/wwan combined interface which should be handled by the qmi_wwan driver, so we blacklist it here. 2012-03-16ARM: SPEAr600: Add device-tree support to SPEAr600 boardsStefan Roese
This patch adds a generic target for SPEAr600 board that can be configured via the device-tree. Currently the following devices are supported via the devicetree: - VIC interrupts - PL011 UART - PL061 GPIO - Synopsys DW I2C - Synopsys DW ethernet Other peripheral devices (e.g. SMI flash, FSMC NAND flash etc) will follow in later patches. Only the spear600-evb is currently supported. Other SPEAr600 based boards will follow later. Since the current mainline SPEAr600 code only supports the SPEAr600 evaluation board, with nearly zero peripheral devices (only UART and GPIO), it makes sense to switch over to DT based configuration completely now. So this patch also removes all non-DT stuff, mainly platform device data. The files spear600.c and spear600_evb.c are removed completely. 2012-03-16powerpc/85xx: allow CONFIG_PHYS_64BIT to be selectableTimur Tabi
Remove the "select PHYS_64BIT" from the Kconfig entry for the P1022DS, so that large physical address support is a selectable option for non-CoreNet reference boards. The option is enabled in mpc85xx_[smp_]defconfig so that the default is unchanged. However, now it can be deselected. The P1022DS had this option defined because the default device tree for this board uses 36-bit addresses. This had the side-effect of forcing this option on for all boards that use mpc85xx_[smp_]defconfig. Some users may want to disable this feature to create an optimized configuration for boards with <= 2GB of RAM. 2012-03-16ARM: ux500: db8500: list most devices in the snowball device treeLee Jones
This adds all devices that are normally present through the u8500_init_machine function in the device tree as well, which will duplicate the devices that are visible. This will not do much by itself because the device from the device tree are not matched by any device driver until they are converted as well. The next step is to move over one device at a time to actually be used from the device tree instead of the hardcoded device using auxdata to pass the correct platform_data. 2012-03-16powerpc/83xx: mpc836x - fix failed phy detection for ucc ethernet on MDSPaul Gortmaker
The mpc836x_mds platform has been broken since the commit 6fe3264945ee63292cdfb27b6e95bc52c603bb09 "netdev/phy: Use mdiobus_read() so that proper locks are taken" which caused the fsl_pq_mdio TBI autoprobe to oops. The oops was "fixed" in commit 28d8ea2d568534026ccda3e8936f5ea1e04a86a1 "fsl_pq_mdio: Clean up tbi address configuration" by simply removing the the autoscan code, and making tbi nodes mandatory. Some of the newer reference platforms were updated to have tbi nodes in 220669495bf8b68130a8218607147c7b74c28d2b "powerpc: Add TBI PHY node to first MDIO bus" but the older mpc836x didn't get one and hence was just failing with -EBUSY as follows: fsl-pq_mdio: probe of e0102120.mdio failed with error -16 ... net eth0: Could not attach to PHY eth0: Cannot initialize PHY, aborting. 2012-03-16perf tools: Do not disable members of group eventNamhyung Kim
When event group is enabled for forked task (i.e. no target task/cpu was specified) all events were disabled and marked ->enable_on_exec. However they wouldn't be counted at all since only group leader will be enabled on exec actually. In contrast to perf stat, perf record doesn't have a real problem as it enables all the event before proceeding. But it needs to be fixed anyway IMHO. of_parse_phandle() returns NULL either if the property name itself does not exist or if it (exists and) does not reference a valid phandle. Giving out a warn like the one below (that the property references an invalid phandle) can be confusing when the property itself does not exist in the node. Fix it with a more sensible message and make it a dev_dbg instead of a dev_warn. When event group is enabled for forked task (i.e. no target task was specified) all events were disabled and marked ->enable_on_exec. However they are not counted at all since only group leader will be enabled on exec actually. 2012-03-16mfd: Don't use mutex_lock_interruptible in ab8500-coreRabin Vincent
This disadvantage of having it interruptible is that it would appear to work OK in most situations, but in the rare case that this call does fail, it can lead to misconfiguration of the AB, such as a regulator not being turned off and leading to a platform power consumption increase. There's no real benefit to having this interruptible. Make it a plain mutex_lock. The non-interruptability matches other low-level I/O functions such as SPI and I2C.
