Add the channels on which there was a match for every match reported by the firmware. The firmware reports the channels as indices to the array of channels that was passed in the scheduled scan request, so we need to save the array when entering D3 to make sure it is available when we resume. Add SSID information to the net-detect indication to userspace. Fetch the matched profiles from the firmware in order to find the correct SSIDs in the profiles that matched. Since the net-detect information is stored in cfg80211, and in theory it could change while we are waking up and reading the matched profiles, we need to save it when we enter D3 so it is available during resume. The firmware file-format is described in iwl-fw-file.h, while the internal handling structures and functions are in iwl-fw.h. Fix the separation between the files by moving file format definitions to iwl-fw-file.h. Also add a missing description for a kernel-doc member, and it's not needed to include iwl-fw-file.h again from the code (thanks to Liad Kaufman). 2014-12-01x86, microcode: Limit the microcode reloading to 64-bit for nowBorislav Petkov
First, there was this: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88001 The problem there was that microcode patches are not being reapplied after suspend-to-ram. It was important to reapply them, though, because of for example Haswell's TSX erratum which disabled TSX instructions with a microcode patch. A simple fix was fb86b97300d9 ("x86, microcode: Update BSPs microcode on resume") but, as it is often the case, simple fixes are too simple. This one causes 32-bit resume to fail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88391 Properly fixing this would require more involved changes for which it is too late now, right before the merge window. Thus, limit this to 64-bit only temporarily. 2014-12-01OMAPDSS: hdmi5: Change hdmi_wp idlemode to to no_idle for audio playbackJyri Sarha
Enabling idle mode during audio playback causes the glitches on OMAP5 HDMI. The TRM also suggests to use no-idle for HDMI audio playback. This patch sets HDMI idle mode to no-idle for the duration of the playback, and restores it back to original value afterwards. The platform device should only be registered from OMAPDSS HDMI driver. The platform driver registers and unregisters all ASoC components needed for OMAP HDMI audio. The hdmi audio driver implements cpu-dai component using the callbacks provided by OMAPDSS and registers the component under DSS HDMI device. Omap-pcm is registered for platform component also under DSS HDMI device. Dummy codec is used as as codec component. The hdmi audio driver implements also the card and registers it under its own platform device. 2014-12-01mtd: nand: gpmi: add proper raw access supportBoris BREZILLON
Several MTD users (either in user or kernel space) expect a valid raw access support to NAND chip devices. This is particularly true for testing tools which are often touching the data stored in a NAND chip in raw mode to artificially generate errors. The GPMI drivers do not implemenent raw access functions, and thus rely on default HW_ECC scheme implementation. The default implementation consider the data and OOB area as properly separated in their respective NAND section, which is not true for the GPMI controller. In this driver/controller some OOB data are stored at the beginning of the NAND data area (these data are called metadata in the driver), then ECC bytes are interleaved with data chunk (which is similar to the HW_ECC_SYNDROME scheme), and eventually the remaining bytes are used as OOB data. The fact that all supported boards use the same 33MHz crystal is a co-incidence. The Zynq PS support a range of crystal freqs so the hardcoded setting should be removed from the dtsi. The return value of i2c_smbus_write_word_swapped() isn't checked in ina2xx_probe(). This leads to devices being registered even if they cannot be physically detected (e.g. device is not powered-up at boot-time). Even after restoring power to such device, it is left unconfigured as the configuration has never been actually written to the register. Error out in case of write errors in probe and notify the user.
