2012-07-13cfg80211: reduce monitor interface trackingJohannes Berg
Revert commit b78e8ceac23655e1e06b30aa95ab11742d1ac7c0 ("cfg80211: track monitor channel") and remove the set_monitor_enabled() callback. Due to the tracking happening in NETDEV_PRE_UP, it had introduced bugs because the monitor interface callback would be called before the device was started. It looks like there's no way to fix this, and using NETDEV_PRE_UP is broken anyway (since there's no NETDEV_UP_FAIL), so remove all that code, track interfaces in NETDEV_UP and also stop tracking the monitor channel in cfg80211. This mostly reverts to before the tracking, except that we keep the interface count tracking so that setting the monitor channel can be rejected properly. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
2012-07-13cfg80211/mac80211: re-add get_channel operationJohannes Berg
This essentially reverts commit 2e165b818456 but introduces the get_channel operation with a new wireless_dev argument so that you can retrieve the channel per interface. This is necessary as even though we can track all interface channels (except monitor) we can't track the channel type used. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
2012-07-13Revert "mac80211: refactor virtual monitor code"Johannes Berg
This reverts commit 870d37fc22f3e40f9f23e06c581c8538fc16a2f0. This code doesn't work as cfg80211 will call set_monitor_enabled at the wrong time and it doesn't seem to be possible to fix this. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>

2012-07-13net: Update alloc frag to reduce get/put page usage and recycle pagesAlexander Duyck
This patch is meant to help improve performance by reducing the number of locked operations required to allocate a frag on x86 and other platforms. This is accomplished by using atomic_set operations on the page count instead of calling get_page and put_page. It is based on work originally provided by Eric Dumazet. In addition it also helps to reduce memory overhead when using TCP. This is done by recycling the page if the only holder of the frame is the netdev_alloc_frag call itself. This can occur when skb heads are stolen by either GRO or TCP and the driver providing the packets is using paged frags to store all of the data for the packets. 2012-07-13ARM: vexpress: Config option for early printk consolePawel Moll
Versatile Express platform can be used in different configurations, the console UART used by early printk may be located at different addresses in the address space. This patch makes it possible to select the base address of a PL011 UART to be used as a console output in the kernel configuration. The default behaviour is still the heuristic detecting memory map on Cortex-A core tiles. The zImage decompressor will use the same configuration values or print out nothing if DEBUG_LL is not enabled. Signed-off-by: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com>
2012-07-13ARM: vexpress: Add Device Tree for V2P-CA15_CA7 core tilePawel Moll
This patch adds Device Tree file for the CoreTile Express A15x2 A7x3 (V2P-CA15_CA7). Note that the A7 cpu nodes are commented out, as the big.LITTLE-relevant patches are not upstreamed yet. Till this time one can use the board with two A15 cores only, keeping the A7s in reset by adding the following setting to the board.txt file in Versatile Express configuration tree: SCC: 0x018 0x00001FFF Signed-off-by: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com>

2012-07-13ARM: vexpress: Add fixed regulator for SMSCPawel Moll

2012-07-13ARM: vexpress: Initial common clock supportPawel Moll
This patch makes Versatile Express use the common clock framework instead of the plat-versatile implementation. It defines clock provider for VE's OSCs (clock generators) and registers all required fixed and variable clock sources (for both motherboard and core tile). This is a simple conversion of the existing state and will be extended (and migrated to drivers/clk) in the near future. Signed-off-by: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com>

2012-07-13ARM: S3C24XX: Remove unused GPIO definitions for port JSylwester Nawrocki
There is no need now for individual GPIO port J pin control bit definitions, the GPIO0..12 pins can be configured using the gpiolib API. The GPJ* register address offset definitions for S3C2413 are moved to the common mach-s3c24xx/include/mach/regs-gpio.h header. These are still used outside of the gpio-samsung driver by PM code. Switching GPJ port to camera function can be done for example with: s3c_gpio_cfgall_range(S3C2410_GPJ(0), 13, S3C_GPIO_SFN(2), S3C_GPIO_PULL_NONE); Signed-off-by: Sylwester Nawrocki <sylvester.nawrocki@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>
