When autonuma (Automatic NUMA balancing) marks a PTE inaccessible it
clears all the protection bits but leave the PTE valid.
With the Radix MMU, an attempt at executing from such a PTE will
take a fault with bit 35 of SRR1 set "SRR1_ISI_N_OR_G".
It is thus incorrect to treat all such faults as errors. We should
pass them to handle_mm_fault() for autonuma to deal with. The case
of pages that are really not executable is handled by the existing
test for VM_EXEC further down.
That leaves us with catching the kernel attempts at executing user
pages. We can catch that earlier, even before we do find_vma.
It is never valid on powerpc for the kernel to take an exec fault
to begin with. So fold that test with the existing test for the
kernel faulting on kernel addresses to bail out early.

With many drivers converting to using generic device properties, it is
useful to provide array of device properties when instantiating new i2c
client via i2c_board_info and have them automatically added to the device
in question.

All lanes in data-lanes and clock-lanes properties should be unique. Add
a check for this in v4l2_of_parse_csi_bus() and print a warning if

After commit 5baecbcd9c9a ("perf symbols: we can now read separate
debug-info files based on a build ID") and when --symfs option is used
perf failed to pick up symbols for file with the same name between host
and sysroot specified by --symfs option. One can see message like this:
bin/bash with build id 26f0062cb6950d4d1ab0fd9c43eae8b10ca42062 not found, continuing without symbols
It happens because code added by 5baecbcd9c9a opens files directly by
dso->long_name without symbol_conf.symfs consideration, which as result
picks one from the host. It reads its build ID and later even code finds
another proper file in directory pointed by --symfs perf ignores it
because build id mismatches.
Fix is to use __symbol__join_symfs to adjust file name according to
--symfs setting. If no --symfs passed the operation would noop and picks
the same host file as before.
Also note in latter tree after 5baecbcd9c9a commit additional check for
'!dso->has_build_id' was added, so to observe error condition 'perf
record' should run with --no-buildid, so perf.data itself would not have
build id for target binary in buildid perf section and 'perf report'
will pass '!dso->has_build_id' condition. Or target binary should not
have build id, but the same binary on host has build id, again
'!dso->has_build_id' will pass in this case and incorrect build id could
be read if --symfs is used.

All events from 'perf list', except SDT events, can be directly recorded
with 'perf record'. But, the flow is little different for SDT events.
Probe points for SDT event needs to be created using 'perf probe' before
recording it using 'perf record'.
Perf shows misleading hint when a user tries to record SDT event without
first creating a probe point. Show proper hint there.
Before patch:

output decoded frame information.
Adds an unconditional trace point when streaming starts showing
the compressed stream and the decoded frame information.
Adds an unconditional trace point at instance closure summarizing
into a single line the decoding process (stream information, decoded
and output frames number, potential errors observed).

EOS (End Of Stream) support allows user to get
all the potential decoded frames remaining in decoder
pipeline after having reached the end of video bitstream.
To do so, user calls VIDIOC_DECODER_CMD(V4L2_DEC_CMD_STOP)
which will drain the decoder and get the drained frames
that are then returned to user.
User is informed of EOS completion in two ways:
- dequeue of an empty frame flagged to V4L2_BUF_FLAG_LAST
- reception of a V4L2_EVENT_EOS event.
If, unfortunately, no buffer is available on CAPTURE queue
to return the empty frame, EOS is delayed till user queue
one CAPTURE buffer.

IPC (Inter Process Communication) support for communication with
DELTA coprocessor firmware using rpmsg kernel framework.
Based on 4 services open/set_stream/decode/close and their associated
rpmsg messages.
The messages structures are duplicated on both host and firmware
side and are packed (use only of 32 bits size fields in messages
structures to ensure packing).
Each service is synchronous; service returns only when firmware
acknowledges the associated command message.
Due to significant parameters size exchanged from host to copro,
parameters are not inserted in rpmsg messages. Instead, parameters are
stored in physical memory shared between host and coprocessor.
Memory is non-cacheable, so no special operation is required
to ensure memory coherency on host and on coprocessor side.
Multi-instance support and re-entrance are ensured using host_hdl and
copro_hdl in message header exchanged between both host and coprocessor.
This avoids to manage tables on both sides to get back the running context
of each instance.

For debugging and testing it is useful to see the converted alias
string. Add support to perf stat/record and perf list to print the alias
conversion. The text string is saved in the alias structure. For perf
stat/record it is folded into the normal -v. For perf list -v was taken,
so we use --debug.

The code for handling pmu aliases without specifying the PMU hardcoded
only supported the cpu PMU.
This patch extends it to work for all PMUs. We always duplicate the
event for all PMUs that have an matching alias. This allows to
automatically expand an alias for all instances of a PMU (so for example
you can monitor all cache boxes with a single event)

Add support for registering json aliases per PMU. Any alias with an unit
matching the prefix is registered to the PMU. Uncore has multiple
instances of most units, so all these aliases get registered for each
individual PMU (this is important later to run the event on every
instance of the PMU).
To avoid printing the events multiple times in perf list filter out
duplicated events during printing.

Handle the "Unit" field, which is needed to find the right PMU for an
event. We call it "pmu" and convert it to the perf pmu name with an
uncore prefix.
Handle the "ExtSel" field, which just extends the event mask with an
additional bit.
Handle the "Filter" field which adds parameters to the main event
to configure filtering.
Handle the "Unit" field which declares the unit the values should be
scaled too (similar to what the kernel exports)
Set up the "perpkg" field for uncore events so that perf knows they are
per package (similar to what the kernel exports)
Then output the fields into the pmu-events data structures which are
compiled into perf.
Filter out zero fields, except for the event itself.

When a sequencer queue is created in snd_seq_queue_alloc(),it adds the
new queue element to the public list before referencing it. Thus the
queue might be deleted before the call of snd_seq_queue_use(), and it
results in the use-after-free error, as spotted by syzkaller.
The fix is to reference the queue object at the right time.

We're using non-canonical addresses in drm_mm, and we're making sure that
userspace is using canonical addressing - both in case of softpin
(verifying incoming offset) and when relocating (converting to canonical
when updating offset returned to userspace).
Unfortunately when considering the need for relocations, we're comparing
offset from userspace (in canonical form) with drm_mm node (in
non-canonical form), and as a result, we end up always relocating if our
offsets are in the "problematic" range.
Let's always convert the offsets to avoid the performance impact of
relocations.

The goal of the WARN was to catch when we are still actively using the
fence as we go into the runtime suspend. However, the reg->pin_count is
too coarse as it does not distinguish between exclusive ownership of the
fence register from activity.
I've not improved on the WARN, nor have we captured this WARN in an
exact igt, but it is showing up regularly in the wild:

In the case the register is pinned, it should be present and we will
need to invalidate them to be restored upon resume as we cannot expect
the owner of the pin to call get_fence prior to use after resume.

This fixes a race condition that may occur whenever ST micro busy end
interrupt is raised just after being unmasked but before leaving mmci
interrupt context.
A dead-lock has been found if connecting mmci ST Micro variant whose amba
id is 0x10480180 to some new eMMC that supports internal caches. Whenever
mmci driver enables cache control by programming eMMC's EXT_CSD register,
block driver may request to flush the eMMC internal caches causing mmci
driver to send a MMC_SWITCH command to the card with FLUSH_CACHE operation.
And because busy end interrupt may be mistakenly cleared while not yet
processed, this mmc request may never complete. As a result, mmcqd task
may be stuck forever.
Here is an instance caught by lockup detector which shows that mmcqd task
was hung while waiting for mmc_flush_cache command to complete:

Here is the detailed sequence showing when this issue may happen:
1) At probe time, mmci device is initialized and card busy detection based
on DAT[0] monitoring is enabled.
2) Later during run time, since card reported to support internal caches, a
MMCI_SWITCH command is sent to eMMC device with FLUSH_CACHE operation. On
receiving this command, eMMC may enter busy state (for a relatively short
time in the case of the dead-lock).
3) Then mmci interrupt is raised and mmci_irq() is called:
MMCISTATUS register is read and is equal to 0x01000440. So the following
status bits are set:
- MCI_CMDRESPEND (= 6)
- MCI_DATABLOCKEND (= 10)
- MCI_ST_CARDBUSY (= 24)
Since MMCIMASK0 register is 0x3FF, status variable is set to 0x00000040 and
BIT MCI_CMDRESPEND is cleared by writing MMCICLEAR register.
Then mmci_cmd_irq() is called. Considering the following conditions:
- host->busy_status is 0,
- this is a "busy response",
- reading again MMCISTATUS register gives 0x1000400,
MMCIMASK0 is updated to unmask MCI_ST_BUSYEND bit.
Thus, MMCIMASK0 is set to 0x010003FF and host->busy_status is set to wait
for busy end completion.
Back again in status loop of mmci_irq(), we quickly go through
mmci_data_irq() as there are no data in that case. And we finally go
through following test at the end of while(status) loop:

Because status variable is not yet null (is equal to 0x40), we do not leave
interrupt context yet but we loop again into while(status) loop. So we run
across following steps:
a) MMCISTATUS register is read again and this time is equal to 0x01000400.
So that following bits are set:
- MCI_DATABLOCKEND (= 10)
- MCI_ST_CARDBUSY (= 24)
Since MMCIMASK0 register is equal to 0x010003FF:
b) status variable is set to 0x01000000.
c) MCI_ST_CARDBUSY bit is cleared by writing MMCICLEAR register.
Then, mmci_cmd_irq() is called one more time. Since host->busy_status is
set and that MCI_ST_CARDBUSY is set in status variable, we just return from
this function.
Back again in mmci_irq(), status variable is set to 0 and we finally leave
the while(status) loop. As a result we leave interrupt context, waiting for
busy end interrupt event.
Now, consider that busy end completion is raised IN BETWEEN steps 3.a) and
3.c). In such a case, we may mistakenly clear busy end interrupt at step
3.c) while it has not yet been processed. This will result in mmc command
to wait forever for a busy end completion that will never happen.
To fix the problem, this patch implements the following changes:
Considering that the mmci seems to be triggering the IRQ on both edges
while monitoring DAT0 for busy completion and that same status bit is used
to monitor start and end of busy detection, special care must be taken to
make sure that both start and end interrupts are always cleared one after
the other.
1) Clearing of card busy bit is moved in mmc_cmd_irq() function where
unmasking of busy end bit is effectively handled.
2) Just before unmasking busy end event, busy start event is cleared by
writing card busy bit in MMCICLEAR register.
3) Finally, once we are no more busy with a command, busy end event is
cleared writing again card busy bit in MMCICLEAR register.
This patch has been tested with the ST Accordo5 machine, not yet supported
upstream but relies on the mmci driver.

Apparently there are machines out there with Skylake CPU and KabyPoint
PCH. Judging from our driver code, there doesn't seem to be any code
paths that would do anything different between SunrisePoint and
KabyPoint PCHs, so it would seem okay to accept the combo without
warnings.

Commit 920cf4194954ec ("drm/i915: Introduce an internal allocator for
disposable private objects") introduced a regression for the kernel
running as Xen dom0: when switching to graphics mode a GPU HANG
occurred.
Reason seems to be a missing adaption similar to that done in
commit 7453c549f5f648 ("swiotlb: Export swiotlb_max_segment to users")
to i915_gem_object_get_pages_internal().
So limit the maximum page order to be used according to the maximum
swiotlb segment size instead to the complete swiotlb size.

On a non-llc system, the objects are created with .cache_level =
CACHE_NONE and so the transition to uncached for scanout is a no-op.
However, if the object was never written to, it will still be in the CPU
domain (having been zeroed out by shmemfs). Those cachelines need to be
flushed prior to display.

When we send a deauth to a station we don't know about, we

In DQA mode, first_agg_queue is initialized to
IWL_MVM_DQA_MIN_DATA_QUEUE. This causes two bugs in the tx response
flow:
1. When TX fails, we set IEEE80211_TX_STAT_AMPDU_NO_BACK regardless
if we actually have aggregation open on the queue. This causes
mac80211 to send a BAR frame even though there is no aggregation
open.
Fix that by simply checking the AMPDU flag that is set on by
mac80211 for AMPDU packets.
2. When reclaiming frames in aggregation mode, we reclaim based on
scheduler ssn and not the SN.
The reason is that scheduler ssn may be ahead of SN due to a hole
in the BA window that was filled.
However, if we have aggregations open on IWL_MVM_DQA_BSS_CLIENT_QUEUE
the reclaim flow will still go to the code of non-aggregation
instead of the aggregation code since IWL_MVM_DQA_BSS_CLIENT_QUEUE
is smaller than IWL_MVM_DQA_MIN_DATA_QUEUE, although it is a valid
aggregation queue.
Fix that by always using the aggregation reclaim code by default in
DQA mode (currently it is implicitly used by default for all queues
except the reserved BSS queue).

When getting RF_KILL and disabling radio, the device gets stopped
and reset. This erases the IVAR table that matches the interrupt
to its cause, and is essential for MSIX proper functionality.
Till now, the table wasn't re-configured after the reset, and
therefore the interrupt that enabled radio didn't fire on the
right irq, and the driver didn't handle it correctly.
To fix this, configure the IVAR table again after resetting the
device.

During the suspend/resume flow some HW blocks are reset. This causes
the IVAR table to be completely erased. This table is where interrupt
causes are bound to specific IRQs. When the table is empty the
interrupt handlers are not called correctly. Fix this by reconfiguring
the IVAR table after resume.

The MSIX configuration flow includes two different stages:
configuring the HW by writing to the IVAR table and configuring the SW
to reflect the HW configuration.
The HW configuration is needed on each HW reset,
whereas the SW configuration is only needed during the init flow.

Always use printk_deferred() in printk_safe_flush_line().
Flushing can be done from NMI or printk_safe contexts (when
we are in panic), so we can't call console drivers, yet still
want to store the messages in the logbuf buffer. Therefore we
use a deferred printk version.

This patch extends the idea of NMI per-cpu buffers to regions
that may cause recursive printk() calls and possible deadlocks.
Namely, printk() can't handle printk calls from schedule code
or printk() calls from lock debugging code (spin_dump() for instance);
because those may be called with `sem->lock' already taken or any
other `critical' locks (p->pi_lock, etc.). An example of deadlock
can be

Just like in NMI implementation, the solution uses a per-cpu
`printk_func' pointer to 'redirect' printk() calls to a 'safe'
callback, that store messages in a per-cpu buffer and flushes
them back to logbuf buffer later.
Usage example:
printk()
printk_safe_enter_irqsave(flags)
//
// any printk() call from here will endup in vprintk_safe(),
// that stores messages in a special per-CPU buffer.
//
printk_safe_exit_irqrestore(flags)
The 'redirection' mechanism, though, has been reworked, as suggested
by Petr Mladek. Instead of using a per-cpu @print_func callback we now
keep a per-cpu printk-context variable and call either default or nmi
vprintk function depending on its value. printk_nmi_entrer/exit and
printk_safe_enter/exit, thus, just set/celar corresponding bits in
printk-context functions.
The patch only adds printk_safe support, we don't use it yet.

- rename nmi.c to print_safe.c
- add `printk_safe' prefix to some (which used both by printk-safe
and printk-nmi) of the exported functions.

vprintk(), just like printk(), better be using per-cpu printk_func
instead of direct vprintk_emit() call. Just in case if vprintk()
will ever be called from NMI, or from any other context that can
deadlock in printk().
