The dwc3 wrapper driver should not be fiddling with the core interrupts.
Disabling the core interrupts in prepare stops xhci from proper operation.
So remove disable/enable of core interrupts from prepare/complete.

The reason is that the SATA controller has no working clock at this
point, and thus ahci_enable_ahci() fails to enable the controller. In
case that there is no SATA disk attached, the imx_sata_disable() gets
called in ahci_imx_error_handler(), and both sata_clk and sata_ref_clk
will be disabled there. Because all the imx_sata_enable() calls
afterward will return immediately due to imxpriv->no_device check, the
SATA controller working clock sata_clk will never get any chance to be
enabled again.
This is a regression caused by commit 90870d79d4f2 (ahci-imx: Port to
library-ised ahci_platform). Before the commit, only sata_ref_clk is
managed by the driver in enable/disable function. But after the commit,
all the clocks are enabled/disabled in a row by ahci platform helpers
ahci_platform_enable[disable]_clks. Since ahb_clk is a bus clock which
does not have gate at all, and i.MX low-power hardware module already
manages sata_clk across suspend/resume cycle, the only clock that needs
to be managed by software is sata_ref_clk.
So instead of using ahci_platform_enable[disable]_clks to manage all
the clocks in a row from imx_sata_enable[disable], we should manage
only sata_ref_clk in there.

Commit [ac8dde11: “usb: gadget: f_fs: Add flags to descriptors block”]
which introduced a new descriptor format for FunctionFS removed the
usb_functionfs_descs_head structure, which is still used by ffs-test.
tool.
Convert ffs-test by converting it to use the new header format. For
testing kernels prior to 3.14 (when the new format was introduced) and
parsing of the legacy headers in the new kernels, provide a compilation
flag to make the tool use the old format.
Finally, include information as to when the legacy FunctionFS headers
format has been deprecated (which is also when the new one has been
introduced).

In ISOC transfers, when free_slot points to the last TRB (i.e. Link
TRB), and all queued requests meet Missed Interval Isoc error, busy_slot
points to trb0.
busy_slot->trb0
trb1
...
free_slot->trb31(Link TRB)
After end transfer and receiving the XferNotReady event, trb_left is
caculated as 1 which is wrong, and no TRB will be primed to the
endpoint.
The root cause is free_slot is not increased the same way as busy_slot.
When busy_slot is increased by one, it checks if points to a link TRB
after increasement, but free_slot checks it before increasement.
free_slot should behave the same as busy_slot to make the trb_left
caculation correct.

When setting the rate of a clock, by default the clock framework will
change the parent of the clock to the most suitable one in
__clk_mux_determine_rate() (most suitable by looking at the clock rate).
This is a rather dangerous default, and causes problems on AM43x when
using display and ethernet. There are multiple ways to select the clock
muxes on AM43x, and some of those clock paths have the same source
clocks for display and ethernet. When changing the clock rate for the
display subsystem, the clock framework decides to change the display mux
from the dedicated display PLL to a shared PLL which is used by the
ethernet, and then changes the rate of the shared PLL, breaking the
ethernet.
As I don't think there ever is a case where we want the clock framework
to automatically change the parent clock of a clock mux, this patch sets
the CLK_SET_RATE_NO_REPARENT for all ti,mux-clocks.

Add a returned error code in the MAX_APLL_WAIT_TRIES case. Remove the
updating of the return variable r to 0 if MAX_APLL_WAIT_TRIES is not yet
reached, because r is already 0 at this point.

KVM does not really do much with the PAT, so this went unnoticed for a

register.

When kvm_write_guest writes the tsc_ref structure to the guest, or it will lead
the low HV_X64_MSR_TSC_REFERENCE_ADDRESS_SHIFT bits of the TSC page address
must be cleared, or the guest can see a non-zero sequence number.
Otherwise Windows guests would not be able to get a correct clocksource
(QueryPerformanceCounter will always return 0) which causes serious chaos.

GCC 4.6.4 spits out the following warning when building perf_event_v7.c:

While upgrading the version of gcc may solve this, the code can also be
organised to be more efficient by not carrying more local variables than
is necessary across the armv7pmu_get_event_idx function call. If we set
'bit' to -1 (which is invalid for clear_bit) we can use that as an
indication whether we need to clear a bit after this function.

each.

Recent Intel CPUs have 10 variable range MTRRs. Since operating systems
sometime make assumptions on CPUs while they ignore capability MSRs, it is
better for KVM to be consistent with recent CPUs. Reporting more MTRRs than
actually supported has no functional implications.

Two reasons for this rename. Firstly, it removes the camel case
convention which isn't used by any other platform and secondly it
matches the naming convention for the internal kernel, which can
become annoying when flipping between the two.

X could end up putting the fbcon fb into other domains, e.g.
for smooth take-overs. Also we want this for accurate frontbuffer
tracking: The set_config is an implicit flush and will re-enable
psr and similar features, so we need to bring the bo back into
the gtt domain.

So from just a quick look we seem to have enough information to
accurately figure out whether a given gem bo is used as a frontbuffer
and where exactly: We have obj->pin_count as a first check with no
false negatives and only negligible false positives. And then we can
just walk the modeset objects and figure out where exactly a buffer is
used as scanout.
Except that we can't due to locking order: If we already hold
dev->struct_mutex we can't acquire any modeset locks, so could
potential chase freed pointers and other evil stuff.
So we need something else. For that introduce a new set of bits
obj->frontbuffer_bits to track where a buffer object is used. That we
can then chase without grabbing any modeset locks.
Of course the consumers of this (DRRS, PSR, FBC, ...) still need to be
able to do their magic both when called from modeset and from gem
code. But that can be easily achieved by adding locks for these
specific subsystems which always nest within either kms or gem
locking.
This patch just adds the relevant update code to all places.
Note that if we ever support multi-planar scanout targets then we need
one frontbuffer tracking bit per attachment point that we expose to
userspace.

It doesn't make sense to never again schedule the work, since by the
time we might want to re-enable psr the world might have changed and
we can do it again.
The only exception is when we shut down the pipe, but that's an
entirely different thing and needs to be handled in psr_disable.
Note that later patch will again split psr_exit into psr_invalidate
and psr_flush. But the split is different and this simplification
helps with the transition.

We have _enable/_disable interfaces now for the modeset sequence and
intel_edp_psr_exit for workarounds.
The callsites in intel_display.c are all redundant with the modeset
sequence enable/disable calls in intel_ddi.c. The one in
intel_sprite.c is real and needs to be switched to psr_exit.
If this breaks anything then we need to augment the enable/disable
functions accordingly.

It's not needed and further more will get in the way of a sane
locking scheme - psr_exit _can't_ take modeset locks due to lock
inversion, and at least once dp mst hits the connector list
is no longer static.
But since we track all state in dev_priv->psr there is no need
at all.

Add a file to debugfs for each connector to enable modification of the
"force" connector attribute. This allows connectors to be enabled or
disabled for testing and debugging purposes.

The acquire ctx will typically be declared on the stack, which means we
could have garbage values for any uninitialized field. In this case, it
was triggering WARN_ON()s because 'contended' had garbage value.
Go ahead and use memset() to be more future-proof.

The original checks (via sk_chk_filter) for instruction count uses ">",
not ">=", so changing this in sk_convert_filter has the potential to break
existing seccomp filters that used exactly BPF_MAXINSNS many instructions.

sysctl handler proc_sctp_do_hmac_alg(), proc_sctp_do_rto_min() and
proc_sctp_do_rto_max() do not properly reflect some error cases
when writing values via sysctl from internal proc functions such
as proc_dointvec() and proc_dostring().
In all these cases we pass the test for write != 0 and partially
do additional work just to notice that additional sanity checks
fail and we return with hard-coded -EINVAL while proc_do*
functions might also return different errors. So fix this up by
simply testing a successful return of proc_do* right after
calling it.
This also allows to propagate its return value onwards to the user.
While touching this, also fix up some minor style issues.

When the underlying device supports TCP offloads for VXLAN/UDP
encapulated traffic, we need to reflect that through the hw_enc_features
field of the bonding net-device. This will cause the xmit path
in the core networking stack to provide bonding with encapsulated
GSO frames to offload into the HW etc.

With commit aed3f9d498b ("staging: comedi: addi_apci_1564:
absorb apci1564_reset()"), the apci 1564 driver has gained
a dependency on the addi watchdog module, which is not reflected
correctly in Kconfig, and that can lead to link errors
when the watchdog is disabled.
This adds an explicit 'select', like it is done in the other
addi apci drivers that need it.

Fixes a regression in 3.16-rc1 compared to 3.15.
The unbalanced calls would presumably result in the page flip interrupts
never getting disabled once they are enabled.

up to date in drm_send_vblank_event().

The length name of the states 2 was too long to fit in the allocated
string (limited to 16 bytes). This lead to improper string displayed
through sysfs.
This patch shorten the name by removing the reference to Marvell and
to the CPU as both are implicit. For coherency the same change have
been done for the states 1.

Commit bd0fa9bb455d introduced a failure path to cpufreq_update_policy() if
cpufreq_driver->get(cpu) returns NULL. However, it jumps to the 'no_policy'
label, which exits without unlocking any of the locks the function acquired
earlier. This causes later calls into cpufreq to hang.
Fix this by creating a new 'unlock' label and jumping to that instead.

Previously we dropped the association of a context to a ring. It is
however very important to know which ring a context ran on (we could
have reused the other member, but I was nitpicky).
This is very important when we switch address spaces, which unlike
context objects, do change per ring.
As an example, if we have:
RCS BCS
ctx A
ctx A
ctx B
ctx B
Without tracking the last ring B ran on, we wouldn't know to switch the
address space on BCS in the last row.
But this is not really true, because we are already checking to != from (with
"from" being = ring->last_context) and that should be enough to make sure we
switch to the right address space.
We would have a problem if we switched the context object for every ring (since
then we would fail to do it in some situations) but we only switch it for the
render ring, so we don't care.
