2014-01-19qla2xxx: Fix scsi_host leak on qlt_lport_register callback failureNicholas Bellinger
This patch fixes a possible scsi_host reference leak in qlt_lport_register(), when a non zero return from the passed (*callback) does not call drop the local reference via scsi_host_put() before returning. This currently does not effect existing tcm_qla2xxx code as the passed callback will never fail, but fix this up regardless for future code. This patch adds support for DIF protection init/format support into the FILEIO backend. It involves using a seperate $FILE.protection for storing PI that is opened via fd_init_prot() using the common pi_prot_type attribute. The actual formatting of the protection is done via fd_format_prot() using the common pi_prot_format attribute, that will populate the initial PI data based upon the currently configured pi_prot_type. 2014-01-18ktest: Add BISECT_TRIES to bisect testSteven Rostedt (Red Hat)
For those cases that it takes several tries to hit a bug, it would be useful for ktest.pl to try a test multiple times before it considers the test as a pass. To accomplish this, BISECT_TRIES ktest config option has been added. It is default to one, as most of the time a bisect only needs to try a test once. But the user can now up this to make ktest run a given test multiple times. The first failure that is detected will set a bisect bad. It only repeats on success. Note, as with all race bugs, there's no guarantee that if it succeeds, it is really a good bisect. But it helps in case the bug is somewhat reliable. You can set BISECT_TRIES to zero, and all tests will be considered good, unless you also set BISECT_MANUAL. Suggested-by: "Paul E. 2014-01-18IB/mlx4: Handle Ethernet L2 parameters for IP based GID addressingMoni Shoua
IP based RoCE gids don't store Ethernet L2 parameters, MAC and VLAN. Therefore, we need to extract them from the CQE and place them in struct ib_wc (to be used for cases were they were taken from the gid). Also, when modifying a QP or building address handle, instead of parsing the dgid to get the MAC and VLAN, take them from the address handle attributes. 2014-01-18IB/mlx4: Use IBoE (RoCE) IP based GIDs in the port GID tableMoni Shoua
Currently, the mlx4 driver set IBoE (RoCE) gids to encode related Ethernet netdevice interface MAC address and possibly VLAN id. Change this scheme such that gids encode interface IP addresses (both IP4 and IPv6). This requires learning the IP addresses which are of use by a netdevice associated with the HCA port, formatting them to gids and adding them to the port gid table. Furthermore, events of add and delete address are caught to maintain the gid table accordingly. Associated IP addresses may belong to a master of an Ethernet netdevice on top of that port so this should be considered when building and maintaining the gid table. Currently, the IB core and specifically the RDMA-CM assumes that IBoE (RoCE) gids encode related Ethernet netdevice interface MAC address and possibly VLAN id. Change GIDs to be treated as they encode interface IP address. Since Ethernet layer 2 address parameters are not longer encoded within gids, we have to extend the Infiniband address structures (e.g. ib_ah_attr) with layer 2 address parameters, namely mac and vlan. 0d0d110720d7960b77c03c9f2597faaff4b484ae asserts that "d_splice_alias() can't return error unless it was given an IS_ERR(inode)". That was true of the implementation of d_splice_alias, but this is really a problem with d_splice_alias: at a minimum it should be able to return -ELOOP in the case where inserting the given dentry would cause a directory loop. 2014-01-17mmc: sdio: add a quirk for broken SDIO_CCCR_INTx pollingBing Zhao
Polling SDIO_CCCR_INTx could create a fake interrupt with Marvell SD8797 card. Add a quirk to handle this case. The fixup here is to issue a dummy CMD52 read to function 0 register 0xff, and this dummy read must be right after SDIO_CCCR_INTx is read. Patch has been verified on a dw_mmc controller (Samsung Chromebook) with MMC_CAP_SDIO_IRQ disabled. This change makes it so that the first tx_buffer structure acts as a central storage location for most of the info about the skb we are about to transmit. In addition this patch makes tx_flags part of the ixgbevf_tx_buffer struct. This allows us to use the flags directly from the stucture and as result removes the tx_flags parameter from some functions. Also as a cleanup mapped_as_page is folded into tx_flags and some unused flags were removed.
