We added CONFIG_MANDATORY_FILE_LOCKING in 2015, and soon after turned it
off in Fedora and RHEL8. Several other distros have followed suit.
I've heard of one problem in all that time: Someone migrated from an
older distro that supported "-o mand" to one that didn't, and the host
had a fstab entry with "mand" in it which broke on reboot. They didn't
actually _use_ mandatory locking so they just removed the mount option
and moved on.
This patch rips out mandatory locking support wholesale from the kernel,
along with the Kconfig option and the Documentation file. It also
changes the mount code to ignore the "mand" mount option instead of
erroring out, and to throw a big, ugly warning.

A signal frame with SVE may validly either be a bare struct sve_context or
a struct sve_context followed by vector length dependent register data.
Support either in the generic helpers for the signal tests, and while we're

The helper to send IRQ notification for regulator errors had still
old description mentioning calling BUG() as a last resort when
error status reading has kept failing for more times than a given
threshold.
The impementation calling BUG() did never end-up in-tree but was
replaced by hopefully more sophisticated handler trying to power-off
the system.

There are tons of quirks for HD-audio and many of them are without
model string, hence it's not trivial to apply the same quirk for a new
device. This patch makes it easier: namely, the model string accepts
a form as "XXXX:YYYY" (a pair of hex numbers of the subsystem-vendor
and subsystem-device IDs), to specify the alias of PCI (or codec)
SSID. e.g. passing model=1234:abcd would apply the quirk that matches
with the given SSID 1234:abcd instead of the actual SSID.

- Unify the ID setup

Mostly for simplifying the code flow but also it makes easier to add
the codec alias handling in the upcoming patch.

Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU) shipped 896HD 2003 as one of models in second
generation of its FireWire series, and already discontinued it. The model
consists of below ICs:
* Texas Instruments TSB41AB2
* Phillips Semiconductors PDI1394L40
* Altera cyclone EP1C3
* Texas Instruments TMS320VC5402
It supports sampling transmission frequency up to 192.0 kHz. The packet
format differs depending on both of sampling transfer frequency and enabling
ADAT channels. The model doesn't support MIDI message transmission.
This commit adds support for it.

The QCOM PDC driver creates a bunch of unnecessary levels in
the interrupt hierarchy when dealing with non-wakeup-capable
interrupts. By definition, these lines are terminated at the
PDC level, and everything below this is completely fake.
This also results in additional complexity as most of the
callbacks have to check for the validity of the parent level.
Needless to say, this doesn't look very good.
Solve this by disconnecting the interrupt hierarchy below
the last valid level, and considerably simplify the handling
of all the other interrupts by avoiding now unnecessary cheks.
In most cases, the standard irq_*_parent() handlers are directly
used.
This also cures an issue reporting by Maulik where gpio_to_irq()
returns an error after having observed a set of invalid levels.

Commit 4fa82a87ba55 ("opp: Allow required-opps to be used for non genpd
use cases") dereferences the pointers in required_opp_tables but these
might be set to an ERR_PTR if the list still has lazy links pending,
resulting in segfaults. Prior to this patch IS_ERR was also checked on
required_opp_tables[i] before reading ->is_genpd inside
_opp_table_alloc_required_tables, which is at the same time the
predicate to add this table to the lazy list. This segfault is solved
by reordering the checks to bail on lazy pending tables before reading
->is_genpd.

ASUS ROG Strix G17 has the very same PCI and codec SSID (1043:103f) as
ASUS TX300, and unfortunately, the existing quirk for TX300 is broken
on ASUS ROG. Actually the device works without the quirk, so we'll
need to clear the quirk before applying for this device.
Since ASUS ROG has a different codec (ALC294 - while TX300 has
ALC282), this patch adds a workaround for the device, just clearing
the codec->fixup_id by checking the codec vendor_id.
It's a bit ugly to add such a workaround there, but it seems to be the
simplest way.

Add the tables and constants for init sequences for UFS QMP phy found in
SM4250/6115 SoC. The phy is a variation of the v2 phy, but is mistakenly
labeled as v3-660 in downstream sources.
QSERDES COM, RX, TX registers match fully existing v2 registers, with
a few additions. PCS registers don't have much in common, but there are
no clashes with existing ones so new registers were added to existing v2
PCS pack.

Ido Schimmel says:
====================
mlxsw: Refactor parsing configuration
The Spectrum ASIC has a configurable limit on how deep into the packet
it parses. By default, the limit is 96 bytes.
There are several cases where this parsing depth is not enough and there
is a need to increase it: Decapsulation of VxLAN packets and
timestamping of PTP packets.
Currently, parsing depth API is maintained as part of VxLAN module,
because the MPRS register which configures parsing depth also configures
UDP destination port number used for VxLAN encapsulation and
decapsulation.
However, in addition to two above mentioned users of this API, the
multipath hash code also needs to invoke it in order to correctly hash
based on inner fields of IPv6-in-IPv6 packets.
Upcoming support for IPv6-in-IPv6 tunneling will add another user, as
without increasing the parsing depth such packets cannot be properly
decapsulated.
Therefore, this patchset refactors the parsing configuration API and
moves it out of the VxLAN module to the main driver code.
Tested using existing selftests.
Patch set overview:
Patch #1 adds the new parsing configuration infrastructure.
Patch #2 converts existing users to the new infrastructure.
Patch #3 deletes the old infrastructure.
Patch #4 calls the new infrastructure from the multipath hash code.

Commit 01848e05f8bb ("mlxsw: spectrum_router: Add support for inner
layer 3 multipath hash policy") and commit daeabf89eb89 ("mlxsw:
spectrum_router: Add support for custom multipath hash policy") added
support for multipath hash policies where the hash is calculated based
on inner packet fields.
For IPv6-in-IPv6 packets, the default parsing depth (96 bytes) is not
enough when these policies are used.
Therefore, for such cases, call the new API to increase / decrease the
parsing depth as necessary. Care is taken to ensure the API is not
called multiple times.
