2013-06-19ARM: exynos_defconfig: Enable GPIO buttons and RTC driversTushar Behera
Many of the boards use GPIO-mapped buttons for generic input. For Arndale board, these buttons also serve as wakeup source. And the issues reported in commit 522ccdb6fd0e ("ARM: dts: Disable the RTC by default on exynos5") are no longer reproduced on EXYNOS5250 based systems. Hence it would be better to re-enable RTC support for EXYNOS5250. 2013-06-18cgroup: disallow rename(2) if sane_behaviorTejun Heo
cgroup's rename(2) isn't a proper migration implementation - it can't move the cgroup to a different parent in the hierarchy. All it can do is swapping the name string for that cgroup. This isn't useful and can mislead users to think that cgroup supports proper cgroup-level migration. Disallow rename(2) if sane_behavior. v2: Fail with -EPERM instead of -EINVAL so that it matches the vfs return value when ->rename is not implemented as suggested by Li. 2013-06-18ARM: OMAP2+: gpmc: Low power transition supportavinash philip
GPMC is hardware controller for external memory interfaces. This patch adds suspend/resume support for GPMC driver. It also preserves GPMC register configurations across device low-power states in which GPMC hardware can be powered-off. gpmc_suspend()/gpmc_resume() are called by default by core PM framework as part of driver's runtime PM callbacks. 2013-06-18ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: enable USB_PHY and NOP_USB_XCEIVAdrien Vergé
On OMAP2+ platforms, USB support needs physical layer signalling and the NOP USB Transceiver driver since v3.10. This patch enables USB_PHY and NOP_USB_XCEIV in omap2plus_defconfig. These two are harmless to the kernel stability, and useful since they are required for USB and Ethernet (over USB) support. We do not enable USB_EHCI_HCD here because all features aren't fully supported yet. This patch applies to Linux 3.10-rc3. Remove dma.h include from arch/arm/mach-omap1/devices.c and use a script below for dropping duplicated definitions and for replacing definitions with DMA channel numbers. grep '#define OMAP_DMA' arch/arm/mach-omap1/dma.h | while read -r i; do \ DDEF=`echo $i |cut -d ' ' -f 1-2`; \ DEF=`echo $DDEF |cut -d ' ' -f 2`; \ CH=`echo $i |cut -d ' ' -f 3`; \ if [ `git grep -c "$DDEF" |wc -l` -gt 1 ]; then \ echo "removing" $DEF; \ sed -i "s/${DEF}/${CH}/" arch/arm/mach-omap1/devices.c; \ sed -i "/${DDEF}/d" arch/arm/mach-omap1/dma.h; \ fi; \ done Signed-off-by: Jarkko Nikula <jarkko.nikula@bitmer.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

2013-06-17vlan: restore ethtool ABI to control VLAN hardware accelerationFernando Luis Vazquez Cao
As part of the push to add 802.1ad server provider tagging support to the kernel the VLAN features flags were renamed. Unfortunately the kernel name for the VLAN hardware acceleration features that the kernel shows user space was included in the rename, which broke ethtool (txvlan and rxvlan options do not work). This patch restores the original names, i.e. the original ABI. If we wanted to make clear to users that we are refering to CTAGs we can always change ethtool's short_name and long_name for these features (for example something along the lines of txvlan -> txvlan-ctag, tx-vlan-offload -> tx-vlan-ctag-offload). 2013-06-18fuse: hold i_mutex in fuse_file_fallocate()Maxim Patlasov
Changing size of a file on server and local update (fuse_write_update_size) should be always protected by inode->i_mutex. Otherwise a race like this is possible: 1. Process 'A' calls fallocate(2) to extend file (~FALLOC_FL_KEEP_SIZE). fuse_file_fallocate() sends FUSE_FALLOCATE request to the server. 2. Process 'B' calls ftruncate(2) shrinking the file. fuse_do_setattr() sends shrinking FUSE_SETATTR request to the server and updates local i_size by i_size_write(inode, outarg.attr.size). 3. Process 'A' resumes execution of fuse_file_fallocate() and calls fuse_write_update_size(inode, offset + length). But 'offset + length' was obsoleted by ftruncate from previous step. Changed in v2 (thanks Brian and Anand for suggestions): - made relation between mutex_lock() and fuse_set_nowrite(inode) more explicit and clear. - updated patch description to use ftruncate(2) in example Signed-off-by: Maxim V.
