Tulip throws an error when dma debugging is enabled, as it doesn't properly
check dma mapping results with dma_mapping_error() durring tx ring refills.
Easy fix, just add it in, and drop the frame if the mapping is bad

If a file is linked, f2fs loose its parent inode number so that fsync calls
for the linked file should do checkpoint all the time.
But, if we can recover its parent inode number after the checkpoint, we can
adjust roll-forward mechanism for the further fsync calls, which is able to
improve the fsync performance significatly.

The function truncate_data_blocks_range() decrements the valid
block count of inode via dec_valid_block_count(). Since this
function updates the i_blocks field of inode, we can update this
field once we have calculated total the number of blocks
to be freed.
Therefore we can decrement valid blocks outside of the for loop.

'nr_free' tells the total number of blocks freed. So, we can

Previously, the #line parsing regex ended with ({WS}+[0-9]+)?. The {WS}
could match line-break characters. If the #line directive did not contain
the optional flags field at the end, this could cause any integer data on
the next line to be consumed as part of the #line directive parsing. This
could cause syntax errors (i.e. #line parsing consuming the leading 0
from a hex literal 0x1234, leaving x1234 to be parsed as cell data,
which is a syntax error), or invalid compilation results (i.e. simply
consuming literal 1234 as part of the #line processing, thus removing it
from the cell data).
Fix this by replacing {WS} with [ \t] so that it can't match line-breaks.
Convert all instances of {WS}, even though the other instances should be
irrelevant for any well-formed #line directive. This is done for
consistency and ultimate safety.

This patch merely updates the generated dtc parser and lexer files to
the output generated by Bison 2.5. The previous versions were generated
from version 2.4.1. The only reason for this commit is to minimize the
diff on the next commit which fixes a bug in the DTC #line directive
parsing. Otherwise the Bison changes would be intermingled with the
functional changes.

The OF code uses irqsafe locks everywhere except in a handful of functions
for no obvious reasons. Since the conversion from the old rwlocks, this
now triggers lockdep warnings when used at interrupt time. At least one
driver (ibmvscsi) seems to be doing that from softirq context.
This converts the few non-irqsafe locks into irqsafe ones, making them
consistent with the rest of the code.

"I must confess that this past merge window was not RCU's best showing.
This series contains three more fixes for RCU regressions:
1. A fix to __DECLARE_TRACE_RCU() that causes it to act as an
interrupt from idle rather than as a task switch from idle.
This change is needed due to the recent use of _rcuidle()
tracepoints that can be invoked from interrupt handlers as well
as from idle. Without this fix, invoking _rcuidle() tracepoints
from interrupt handlers results in splats and (more seriously)
confusion on RCU's part as to whether a given CPU is idle or not.
This confusion can in turn result in too-short grace periods and
therefore random memory corruption.
2. A fix to a subtle deadlock that could result due to RCU doing
a wakeup while holding one of its rcu_node structure's locks.
Although the probability of occurrence is low, it really
does happen. The fix, courtesy of Steven Rostedt, uses
irq_work_queue() to avoid the deadlock.
3. A fix to a silent deadlock (invisible to lockdep) due to the
interaction of timeouts posted by RCU debug code enabled by
CONFIG_PROVE_RCU_DELAY=y, grace-period initialization, and CPU
hotplug operations. This will not occur in production kernels,

Normally, percpu_ref_init() initializes and percpu_ref_kill()
initiates destruction which completes asynchronously. The
asynchronous destruction can be problematic in init failure path where
the caller wants to destroy half-constructed object - distinguishing
half-constructed objects from the usual release method can be painful
for complex objects.
This patch implements percpu_ref_cancel_init() which synchronously
destroys the percpu_ref without invoking release. To avoid
unintentional misuses, the function requires the ref to have finished
percpu_ref_init() but never used and triggers WARN otherwise.

ACCESS_ONCE() in percpu_ref_kill_rcu()
Two small changes.
* Unlike most init functions, percpu_ref_init() allocates memory and
may fail. Let's mark it with __must_check in case the caller
forgets.
* percpu_ref_kill_rcu() is unnecessarily using ACCESS_ONCE() to
dereference @ref->pcpu_count, which can be misleading. The pointer
is guaranteed to be valid and visible and can't change underneath
the function. Drop ACCESS_ONCE().

cgroup->count tracks the number of css_sets associated with the cgroup
and used only to verify that no css_set is associated when the cgroup
is being destroyed. It's superflous as the destruction path can
simply check whether cgroup->cset_links is empty instead.
Drop cgroup->count and check ->cset_links directly from
cgroup_destroy_locked().

__put_css_set() does RCU read access on @cgrp across dropping
@cgrp->count so that it can continue accessing @cgrp even if the count
reached zero and destruction of the cgroup commenced. Given that both
sides - __css_put() and cgroup_destroy_locked() - are cold paths, this
is unnecessary. Just making cgroup_destroy_locked() grab css_set_lock
while checking @cgrp->count is enough.
Remove the RCU read locking from __put_css_set() and make
cgroup_destroy_locked() read-lock css_set_lock when checking
@cgrp->count. This will also allow removing @cgrp->count.

We will add another flag indicating that the cgroup is in the process
of being killed. REMOVING / REMOVED is more difficult to distinguish
and cgroup_is_removing()/cgroup_is_removed() are a bit awkward. Also,
later percpu_ref usage will involve "kill"ing the refcnt.

There's no point in using kmalloc() instead of the clearing variant
for trivial stuff. We can live dangerously elsewhere. Use kzalloc()
instead and drop 0 inits.
While at it, do trivial code reorganization in cgroup_file_open().
This patch doesn't introduce any functional changes.

poison and the initial version converted list_del()s to
list_del_init()s too. Li and Kent took me out of the stasis

cgroups and css_sets are mapped M:N and this M:N mapping is
represented by struct cg_cgroup_link which forms linked lists on both
sides. The naming around this mapping is already confusing and struct
cg_cgroup_link exacerbates the situation quite a bit.
>From cgroup side, it starts off ->css_sets and runs through
->cgrp_link_list. From css_set side, it starts off ->cg_links and
runs through ->cg_link_list. This is rather reversed as
cgrp_link_list is used to iterate css_sets and cg_link_list cgroups.
Also, this is the only place which is still using the confusing "cg"
for css_sets. This patch cleans it up a bit.

cgroup.c uses @cg for most struct css_set variables, which in itself
could be a bit confusing, but made much worse by the fact that there
are places which use @cg for struct cgroup variables.
compare_css_sets() epitomizes this confusion - @[old_]cg are struct
css_set while @cg[12] are struct cgroup.
It's not like the whole deal with cgroup, css_set and cg_cgroup_link
isn't already confusing enough. Let's give it some sanity by
uniformly using @cset for all struct css_set variables.

* s/oldcg/old_cset/ s/oldcgrp/old_cgrp/. The same for the ones
prefixed with "new".
* s/cg/cgrp/ for cgroup variables in compare_css_sets().

Before moving tasks out of empty cpusets, update_tasks_nodemask()
is called, which calls do_migrate_pages(xx, from, to). Then those
tasks are moved to an ancestor, and do_migrate_pages() is called
again.
The first time: from = node_to_be_offlined, to = empty.
The second time: from = empty, to = ancestor's nodemask.
so looks like no pages will be migrated.
Fix this by:
- Don't call update_tasks_nodemask() on empty cpusets.
- Pass cs->old_mems_allowed to do_migrate_pages().

Now that we have two different addresses for the UART, depending on
which bootloader is used, it is no longer desirable to enable
earlyprintk by default in the defconfig. Users who need earlyprintk
support will have to enable it explicitly, and select the right UART
configuration depending on their platform.

In order to support both old and new bootloaders, we add a new Kconfig
option for the earlyprintk UART selection. The existing option allows
to work with old bootloaders (that keep the internal registers mapped
at 0xd0000000), while the newly introduced option allows to work with
new bootloaders (that remap the internal registers at 0xf1000000).

Since the mvebu-mbus driver doesn't yet have a DT binding (and this DT
binding may not necessarily be ready for 3.11), the physical address
of the mvebu-mbus registers are currently hardcoded. This doesn't play
well with the fact that the internal registers base address may be
different depending on the bootloader.
In order to have only one central place for the physical address of
the internal registers, we now use of_translate_address() to translate
the mvebu-mbus register offsets into the real physical address, by
using DT-based address translation. This will go away once the
mvebu-mbus driver gains a proper DT binding.

Now that the coherency_init() function is called a bit earlier, we can
actually read the physical address of the coherency unit registers
from the Device Tree, and communicate that to the headsmp.S code,
which avoids hardcoding a physical address.

Currently some cpuset behaviors are not friendly when cpuset is co-mounted
with other cgroup controllers.
Now with this patchset if cpuset is mounted with sane_behavior option,
it behaves differently:
- Tasks will be kept in empty cpusets when hotplug happens and take
masks of ancestors with non-empty cpus/mems, instead of being moved to
an ancestor.
- A task can be moved into an empty cpuset, and again it takes masks of
ancestors, so the user can drop a task into a newly created cgroup without
having to do anything for it.
As tasks can reside in empy cpusets, here're some rules:
- They can be moved to another cpuset, regardless it's empty or not.
- Though it takes masks from ancestors, it takes other configs from the
empty cpuset.
- If the ancestors' masks are changed, those tasks will also be updated
to take new masks.

Now that we have removed the need of the static I/O mapping for early
initialization reasons, and fixed the registers area length that were
broken, we can get rid of the static I/O mapping. Only the earlyprintk
mapping needs to be set up, using the debug_ll_io_init() helper
function.

To achieve this:
- We call update_tasks_cpumask/nodemask() for empty cpusets when
hotplug happens, instead of moving tasks out of them.
- When a cpuset's masks are changed by writing cpuset.cpus/mems,
we also update tasks in child cpusets which are empty.

effective_cpumask_cpuset() returns an ancestor cpuset which has
non-empty cpumask.
If a cpuset is empty and the tasks in it need to update their
cpus_allowed, they take on the ancestor cpuset's cpumask.
This currently won't change any behavior, but it will later allow us
to keep tasks in empty cpusets.

When we update a cpuset's mems_allowed and thus update tasks'
mems_allowed, it's required to pass the old mems_allowed and new
mems_allowed to cpuset_migrate_mm().
Currently we save old mems_allowed in a temp local variable before
changing cpuset->mems_allowed. This patch changes it by saving
old mems_allowed in cpuset->old_mems_allowed.
This currently won't change any behavior, but it will later allow
us to keep tasks in empty cpusets.

Current, the L2 cache and the mvebu-mbus drivers are initialized at
->init_early() time. However, at ->init_early() time, ioremap() only
works if a static I/O mapping has already been put in place. If it's
not the case, it tries to do a memory allocation with kmalloc() which
is not possible so early at this stage of the initialization.
Since we want to get rid of the static I/O mapping, we cannot
initialize the L2 cache driver and the mvebu-mbus driver so early. So,
we move their initialization to the ->init_time() level, which is
slightly later (so ioremap() works properly), but sufficiently early
to be before the call of the ->smp_prepare_cpus() hook, which creates
an address decoding window for the BootROM, which requires the
mvebu-mbus driver to be properly initialized.

Now that the coherency_get_cpu_count() function no longer requires a
very early mapping of the coherency unit registers, we can avoid the
hardcoded virtual address in coherency.c. However, the coherency
features are still used quite early, so we need to do the of_iomap()
early enough, at the ->init_timer() level, so we have the call of
coherency_init() at this point.
Unfortunately, at ->init_timer() time, it is not possible to register
a bus notifier, so we add a separate coherency_late_init() function
that gets called as as postcore_initcall(), when bus notifiers are
available.

The ->smp_init_cpus() function is called very early during boot, at a
point where dynamic I/O mappings are not yet possible. However, in the
Armada 370/XP implementation of this function, we have to get the
number of CPUs. We used to do that by accessing a hardware register,
which requires relying on a static I/O mapping set up by
->map_io(). Not only this requires hardcoding a virtual address, but
it also prevents us from removing the static I/O mapping.
So this commit changes the way used to get the number of CPUs: we now
use the Device Tree, which is a representation of the hardware, and
provides us the number of available CPUs. This is also more accurate,
because it potentially allows to boot the Linux kernel on only a
number of CPUs given by the Device Tree, instead of unconditionally on
all CPUs.
As a consequence, the coherency_get_cpu_count() function becomes no
longer used, so we remove it.

When initialization within brcmf_bus_start() fails on steps
before the brcmf_net_attach() the net_device for the primary
interface needs to be freed.
This patch resolves a panic during kernel boot as reported
by Stephen Warren.

There is currently a race condition in the btmrvl_remove_card() which
is causing hangs on suspend for OLPC. When the race occurs,
kthread_stop() never returns.
The problem is that btmrvl_service_main_thread() calls kthread_should_stop()
and then does a fair number of things before restarting the loop and
sleeping.
If the thread gets stopped after kthread_should_stop() is checked, but
before the sleep happens, the thread will go to sleep and won't necessarily
be woken up.
Move the kthread_should_stop() check into a race-free place.

and later controllers some controllers do not seem to support it
properly as was witnessed by one Broadcom based controller:

Therefore, it makes sense to move sending of HCI_Delete_Stored_Link_Key
to after receiving the supported commands response and to only send it
if its respective bit in the mask is set. The downside of this is that
we no longer send the HCI_Delete_Stored_Link_Key command for Bluetooth
1.1 controllers since HCI_Read_Local_Supported_Command was introduced in
version 1.2, but this is an acceptable penalty as the command in
question shouldn't affect critical behavior.

If a too small MTU value is set with ioctl(HCISETACLMTU) or by a bogus

On platforms with C8-C10 support, the additional C-states cause
turbostat to overrun its output buffer of 128 bytes per CPU. Increase
this to 256 bytes per CPU.
[ As a bugfix, this should go into 3.10; however, since the C8-C10
support didn't go in until after 3.9, this need not go into any stable
kernel. ]
