2012-05-10usb: gadget: rndis: Fix re-binding f_rndisBenoit Goby
f_rndis checks if rndis_string_defs[0].id is null to setup rndis and allocate string ids when it is bound to the first configuration: /* maybe allocate device-global string IDs */ if (rndis_string_defs[0].id == 0) { /* ... and setup RNDIS itself */ status = rndis_init(); if (status < 0) return status; rndis_string_defs[0].id must be reset to 0 on unbind for rndis to be correctly initialized on the next composite_bind. 2012-05-10usb: gadget: Add variant of gether_setup to customize the device nameMike Lockwood
This is needed to avoid name collisions on SoCs that have both usb gadget and usb host, where usb0 may be the rndis interface or a usb ethernet adapter. 2012-05-10usb: gadget: u_serial: Allow calling gserial_setup after initBenoit Goby
Remove geserial_setup from the init section. The android gadget driver calls it after probe, after userspace has configured the gadget driver. 2012-05-10usb: gadget: composite: add iSerialNumber to usb_composite_driverAndrzej Pietrasiewicz
Add iSerialNumber to usb_composite_driver to allow setting a default value. This is useful when the module is compiled-in. Then the composite_bind is executed at kernel boot and string id for iSerialNumber can be overridden even if there is no iSerialNumber kernel commandline parameter. If the string id is not overridden, then get_string will never attempt to look for the alternative string contents using cdev->serial_override. 2012-05-10usb: gadget: composite: Initialize config->interfaceBenoit Goby

2012-05-10usb: gadget: composite: Add usb_remove_configBenoit Goby
Add usb_remove_config to unbind a configuration and remove it from the configs list. This allows implementing composite gadget drivers that can disconnect themself from the bus and that will later be re-enumerated with a different configuration. Gadget drivers must call usb_gadget_disconnect before calling this function to disable the pullup, disconnect the device from the host, and prevent the host from enumerating the device while we are changing the gadget configuration. 2012-05-10USB: gadget: ci13xx_pci: remove unneeded check in ci13xxx_pci_probe()Greg Kroah-Hartman
As pointed out by Dan Carpenter, the check for NULL for the id variable is no longer needed, especially as we just dereferenced it a few lines earlier, causing an oops if it really was NULL. This was caused by 62bb84ed0e4d: "usb: gadget: ci13xxx: convert to platform device". 2012-05-10USB: gadget: ci13xx_udc: fix potential crash in irq handlerGreg Kroah-Hartman
As pointed out by Dan Carpenter, we should not be trying to call dev_err() on a structure that was previously determined to be NULL, that's just foolish and asking for trouble. So just delete the message, it's not going to do anyone any good to have it anyway. This problem was caused by 0f089094cde5: "usb: gadget: ci13xxx: replace home-brewed logging with dev_{err,warn,info}" Reported-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Cc: Alexander Shishkin <alexander.shishkin@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-10tty: move global ldisc idle waitqueue to the individual ldiscIvo Sieben

2012-05-10sparc64: Do not clobber %g2 in xcall_fetch_glob_regs().David S. Miller
%g2 is meant to hold the CPUID number throughout this routine, since at the very beginning, and at the very end, we use %g2 to calculate indexes into per-cpu arrays. 2012-05-10compat: Fix RT signal mask corruption via sigprocmaskJan Kiszka
compat_sys_sigprocmask reads a smaller signal mask from userspace than sigprogmask accepts for setting. So the high word of blocked.sig[0] will be cleared, releasing any potentially blocked RT signal. This was discovered via userspace code that relies on get/setcontext. glibc's i386 versions of those functions use sigprogmask instead of rt_sigprogmask to save/restore signal mask and caused RT signal unblocking this way. As suggested by Linus, this replaces the sys_sigprocmask based compat version with one that open-codes the required logic, including the merge of the existing blocked set with the new one provided on SIG_SETMASK. 2012-05-10gpio/omap: fix incorrect initialization of omap_gpio_mod_initTarun Kanti DebBarma
Initialization of irqenable, irqstatus registers is the common operation done in this function for all OMAP platforms, viz. OMAP1, OMAP2+. The latter _gpio_rmw()'s which supposedly got introduced wrongly to take care of OMAP2+ platforms were overwriting initially programmed OMAP1 value breaking functionality on OMAP1. Somehow incorrect assumption was made that each _gpio_rmw()'s were mutually exclusive. On close observation it is found that the first _gpio_rmw() which is supposedly done to take care of OMAP1 platform is generic enough and takes care of OMAP2+ platform as well. Therefore remove the latter _gpio_rmw() to irqenable as they are redundant now. Writing to ctrl and debounce_en registers for OMAP2+ platforms are modified to match the original(pre-cleanup) code where the registers are initialized with 0. In the cleanup series since we are using _gpio_rmw(reg, 0, 1), instead of __raw_writel(), we are just reading and writing the same values to ctrl and debounce_en. This is not an issue for debounce_en register because it has 0x0 as the default value. But in the case of ctrl register the default value is 0x2 (GATINGRATIO = 0x1) so that we end up writing 0x2 instead of intended 0 value. Therefore changing back to __raw_writel() as this is sufficient for this case besides simpler to understand. Also, change irqstatus initalization logic that avoids comparison with bool, besides making it fit in a single line. 2012-05-10ALSA: hda - Fix concurrent hash accessesTakashi Iwai
The amp and caps hashes aren't protected properly for concurrent accesses. Protect them via a new mutex now. But it can't be so simple as originally thought: since the update of a hash table entry itself might trigger the power-up sequence which again accesses the hash table, we can't cover the whole function simply via mutex. Thus the update part has to be split from the mutex and revalidated. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
