2010-05-20netfilter: fix description of expected checkentry return code on xt_targetLuciano Coelho
The text describing the return codes that are expected on calls to checkentry() was incorrect. Instead of returning true or false, or an error code, it should return 0 or an error code. Signed-off-by: Luciano Coelho <luciano.coelho@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>
2010-05-20netfilter: nf_conntrack: fix a race in __nf_conntrack_confirm against ↵Joerg Marx
nf_ct_get_next_corpse() This race was triggered by a 'conntrack -F' command running in parallel to the insertion of a hash for a new connection. Losing this race led to a dead conntrack entry effectively blocking traffic for a particular connection until timeout or flushing the conntrack hashes again. Now the check for an already dying connection is done inside the lock. Signed-off-by: Joerg Marx <joerg.marx@secunet.com> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>

2010-05-20drivers/platform/x86: Use kmemdupJulia Lawall
Use kmemdup when some other buffer is immediately copied into the allocated region. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression from,to,size,flag; statement S; @@ - to = \(kmalloc\|kzalloc\)(size,flag); + to = kmemdup(from,size,flag); if (to==NULL || ...) S - memcpy(to, from, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk>
2010-05-20drivers/platform/x86: Use kzallocJulia Lawall
Use kzalloc rather than the combination of kmalloc and memset. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression x,size,flags; statement S; @@ -x = kmalloc(size,flags); +x = kzalloc(size,flags); if (x == NULL) S -memset(x, 0, size); // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk>
