2010-08-06drm/nv17-nv4x: Attempt to init some external TMDS transmitters.Francisco Jerez
sil164 and friends are the most common, usually they just need to be poked once because a fixed configuration is enough for any modes and clocks, so they worked without this patch if the BIOS had done a good job on POST. Display couldn't survive a suspend/resume cycle though. Unfortunately, BIOS scripts are useless here. 2010-08-06drm/nouveau: Fix AGP reset when AGP FW is already enabled on init.Francisco Jerez
Previously nouveau_mem_reset_agp() was only disabling AGP fast writes when coming back from suspend. However, the "locked out of the card because of FW" problem can also be reproduced on init if you unload/reload nouveau.ko several times. This patch makes the AGP code reset FW on init. 2010-08-06drm/nv50: use custom i2c algo for dp auxchBen Skeggs
This makes it easier to see how this is working, and lets us transfer the EDID in blocks of 16 bytes. The primary reason for this change is because debug logs are rather hard to read with the hundreds of single-byte auxch transactions that occur. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>

2010-08-05fbdev: section cleanup in viafb driverHenrik Kretzschmar
This patch moves two functions from .devexit to .text, which are called on the probe error path. Also a function which is called by probe is moved from .text to .devinit. WARNING: vmlinux.o(.devinit.text+0x2ca5): Section mismatch in reference from the function via_pci_probe() to the function devexit.text:via_teardown_subdevs() The function __devinit via_pci_probe() references a function __devexit via_teardown_subdevs(). This is often seen when error handling in the init function uses functionality in the exit path. The fix is often to remove the __devexit annotation of via_teardown_subdevs() so it may be used outside an exit section. WARNING: vmlinux.o(.devinit.text+0x2cb1): Section mismatch in reference from the function via_pci_probe() to the function devexit.text:via_pci_teardown_mmio() The function __devinit via_pci_probe() references a function __devexit via_pci_teardown_mmio(). 2010-08-05ceph: only queue async writeback on cap revocation if there is dirty dataSage Weil
Normally, if the Fb cap bit is being revoked, we queue an async writeback. If there is no dirty data but we still hold the cap, this leaves the client sitting around doing nothing until the cap timeouts expire and the cap is released on its own (as it would have been without the revocation). Instead, only queue writeback if the bit is actually used (i.e., we have dirty data). If not, we can reply to the revocation immediately. Signed-off-by: Sage Weil <sage@newdream.net>

2010-08-05cgroupfs: create /sys/fs/cgroup to mount cgroupfs onGreg KH
We really shouldn't be asking userspace to create new root filesystems. So follow along with all of the other in-kernel filesystems, and provide a mount point in sysfs. For cgroupfs, this should be in /sys/fs/cgroup/ This change provides that mount point when the cgroup filesystem is registered in the kernel.
