2013-07-16ext4: call ext4_es_lru_add() after handling cache missTheodore Ts'o
If there are no items in the extent status tree, ext4_es_lru_add() is a no-op. So it is not sufficient to call ext4_es_lru_add() before we try to lookup an entry in the extent status tree. We also need to call it at the end of ext4_ext_map_blocks(), after items have been added to the extent status tree. This could lead to inodes with that have extent status trees but which are not in the LRU list, which means they won't get considered for eviction by the es_shrinker. 2013-07-16iwlwifi: mvm: fix the ACK / CTS kill mask upon RSSI eventEmmanuel Grumbach
If a vif's RSSI gets good enough, we can enable reduced Tx power. If so, we need to update the ACK / CTS kill mask accordingly. Since the auditing for the interfaces was bad, we enabled reduced Tx power, but didn't update the ACK / CTS kill mask. This is harmless since the firmware is most likely to discard this setting anyway, but it is a good practice to update it. 2013-07-16mac80211: fix regression when initializing ibss wmm paramsSimon Wunderlich
There appear to be two regressions in ibss.c when calling ieee80211_sta_def_wmm_params(): * the second argument should be a rate length, not a rate array. This was introduced by my commit "mac80211: select and adjust bitrates according to channel mode" * the third argument is not initialized (anymore), making further checks within this function useless. Since ieee80211_sta_def_wmm_params() is only used by ibss anyway, remove the function entirely and handle the operating mode decision immediately. 2013-07-16mac80211: select and adjust bitrates according to channel modeSimon Wunderlich
The various components accessing the bitrates table must use consider the used channel bandwidth to select only available rates or calculate the bitrate correctly. There are some rates in reduced bandwidth modes which can't be represented as multiples of 500kbps, like 2.25 MBit/s in 5 MHz mode. 2013-07-16cfg80211/nl80211: Add packet coalesce supportAmitkumar Karwar
In most cases, host that receives IPv4 and IPv6 multicast/broadcast packets does not do anything with these packets. Therefore the reception of these unwanted packets causes unnecessary processing and power consumption. Packet coalesce feature helps to reduce number of received interrupts to host by buffering these packets in firmware/hardware for some predefined time. Received interrupt will be generated when one of the following events occur. a) Expiration of hardware timer whose expiration time is set to maximum coalescing delay of matching coalesce rule. b) Coalescing buffer in hardware reaches it's limit. c) Packet doesn't match any of the configured coalesce rules. This patch adds set/get configuration support for packet coalesce. User needs to configure following parameters for creating a coalesce rule. a) Maximum coalescing delay b) List of packet patterns which needs to be matched c) Condition for coalescence. pattern 'match' or 'no match' Multiple such rules can be created. This feature needs to be advertised during driver initialization. Drivers are supposed to do required firmware/hardware settings based on user configuration.
