git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound into for-linus ASoC: Updates for v3.19 Lots and lots of changes this time around, the usual set of driver updates and a huge bulk of cleanups from Lars-Peter. Probably the most interesting thing for most users is the Intel driver updates which will (with some more machine integration work) enable support for newer x86 laptops. - Conversion of AC'97 drivers to use regmap, bringing us closer to the removal of the ASoC level I/O code. - Clean up a lot of old drivers that were open coding things that have subsequently been implemented in the core. - Some DAPM performance improvements. - Removal of the now seldom used CODEC mutex. - Lots of updates for the newer Intel SoC support, including support for the DSP and some Cherrytrail and Braswell machine drivers. - Support for Samsung boards using rt5631 as the CODEC. - Removal of the obsolete AFEB9260 machine driver. - Driver support for the TI TS3A227E headset driver used in some Chrombeooks.

2014-12-08ASoC: wm5102: Initialize dac_comp_lock mutexMark Brown
Commit d74bcaaeb6682 (ASoC: wm5102: Move ultrasonic response settings lock to the driver level) created a driver local mutex for protecting the ultrasonic response settings but neglected to initialize that mutex, causing loud complaints from lockep and potential runtime failures. Fix this by initializing the mutex. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org> Acked-by: Charles Keepax <ckeepax@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2014-12-08s390/cputime: fix 31-bit compileMartin Schwidefsky
git commit 8461b63ca01d125a245a0d0fb4821ea0656e5053 "s390: translate cputime magic constants to macros" introduce a built error for 31-bit: kernel/built-in.o: In function `posix_cpu_timer_set': posix-cpu-timers.c:(.text+0x2a8cc): undefined reference to `__udivdi3' The original code is actually broken for 31-bit and has been corrected by the above commit by forcing the compiler to use 64-bit arithmetic through the CPUTIME_PER_USEC define. To fix the compile error replace the 64-bit division with a call to __div(). Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>

2014-12-08ASoC: samsung: Fix non-DT use of I2S controllerMark Brown
The changes in commit a5a56871f804e (ASoC: samsung: add support for exynos7 I2S controller) introduce a new variant_regs structure in the driver data which is now mandatory for accessing registers. Unfortunately this is only hooked up for DT platforms so non-DT platforms like my primary development platform for audio are broken by this change and crash on boot. Since the only non-DT user of these device is s3c64xx fix this by making the standard samsung-i2s device be of type I2Sv3 and add a new I2Sv4 name to the platform data section, currently using the I2Sv5 information which should be about right. 2014-12-08x86/kconfig/defconfig: Enable CONFIG_FHANDLE=yRichard Weinberger
systemd has a hard dependency on CONFIG_FHANDLE. If you run systemd with CONFIG_FHANDLE=n it will somehow boot but fail to spawn a getty or other basic services. As systemd is now used by most x86 distributions it makes sense to enabled this by default and save kernel hackers a lot of value debugging time. 2014-12-08sched: Add missing rcu protection to wake_up_all_idle_cpusAndy Lutomirski
Locklessly doing is_idle_task(rq->curr) is only okay because of RCU protection. The older variant of the broken code checked rq->curr == rq->idle instead and therefore didn't need RCU. 2014-12-08x86/ticketlock: Fix spin_unlock_wait() livelockOleg Nesterov
arch_spin_unlock_wait() looks very suboptimal, to the point I think this is just wrong and can lead to livelock: if the lock is heavily contended we can never see head == tail. But we do not need to wait for arch_spin_is_locked() == F. If it is locked we only need to wait until the current owner drops this lock. So we could simply spin until old_head != lock->tickets.head in this case, but .head can overflow and thus we can't check "unlocked" only once before the main loop. Also, the "unlocked" check can ignore TICKET_SLOWPATH_FLAG bit.
