2009-12-09thinkpad-acpi: expose module parametersHenrique de Moraes Holschuh
Export the normal (non-command) module paramenters as mode 0444, so that they will show up in sysfs. These parameters must not be changed at runtime as a rule, with very few exceptions. Reported-by: Ferenc Wagner <wferi@niif.hu> Signed-off-by: Henrique de Moraes Holschuh <hmh@hmh.eng.br> Signed-off-by: Len Brown <len.brown@intel.com>
2009-12-09thinkpad-acpi: adopt input deviceHenrique de Moraes Holschuh

2009-12-09thinkpad-acpi: issue backlight class eventsHenrique de Moraes Holschuh

2009-12-09thinkpad-acpi: preserve rfkill state across suspend/resumeHenrique de Moraes Holschuh
Since the rfkill rework in 2.6.31, the driver is always resuming with the radios disabled. Change thinkpad-acpi to ask the firmware to resume with the radios in the last state. This fixes the Bluetooth and WWAN rfkill switches. Note that it means we respect the firmware's oddities. Should the user toggle the hardware rfkill switch on and off, it might cause the radios to resume enabled. UWB is an unknown quantity since it has nowhere the same level of firmware support (no control over state storage in NVRAM, for example), and might need further fixing. Testers welcome. This change fixes a regression from 2.6.30. 2009-12-09thinkpad-acpi: fix default brightness_mode for R50e/R51Henrique de Moraes Holschuh
According to a report, the R50e wants EC-based brightness control, even if it uses an Intel GPU. The current driver default was reported to not work at all. This bug can be worked around by the "brightness_mode=3" module parameter. Change the default of the R50e and R51 2xxx models (which use the same EC firmware, 1V) to TPACPI_BRGHT_Q_EC, but keep TPACPI_BRGHT_Q_ASK set for now, as I'd like to get more reports. This fixes a regression caused by commit 59fe4fe34d7afdf63208124f313be9056feaa2f4, "thinkpad-acpi: fix incorrect use of TPACPI_BRGHT_MODE_ECNVRAM" Kernel 2.6.31 also needs this fix. 2009-12-09wireless: correctly report signal value for IEEE80211_HW_SIGNAL_UNSPECJohn W. Linville

2009-12-09hwmon: (adt7475) Add support for the ADT7476Jean Delvare
Add support for the Analog Devices ADT7476 chip. This chip is largely compatible with the ADT7473 and ADT7475, with additional features. 2009-12-09hwmon: (adt7475) Voltage attenuators can be bypassedJean Delvare
It is possible to bypass the voltage attenuators on the +2.5V, Vccp, +5V and +12V voltage monitoring inputs. This is useful to connect other voltage channels than the ones the monitoring chip was originally designed for. 2009-12-09hwmon: (adt7475) Handle alternative pin functionsJean Delvare
The TACH4 pin can be used for other functions, so fan4 may not always be available. 2009-12-09hwmon: (adt7475) Move sysfs files removal to a separate functionJean Delvare
Move sysfs files removal to a separate function. The code is common to the device probing error path and the standard device removal path. 2009-12-09hwmon: (adt7475) Add support for the ADT7473Jean Delvare
Add support for the ADT7473 to the adt7475 driver, and mark the adt7473 driver for removal. 2009-12-09hwmon: (f71882fg) Add support for the f71889fg (version 2)Hans de Goede
This adds support for the Fintek f71889fg to the f71882fg driver, many thanks to Gerd v. Egidy for providing (remote) access to a machine which such an ic. Note that this bit of the patch: - val = SENSORS_LIMIT(val, 0, 255); + + if (data->type == f71889fg) + val = SENSORS_LIMIT(val, -128, 127); + else + val = SENSORS_LIMIT(val, 0, 127); Changes behaviour for already supported models, the new behaviour is correct as the already supported models have bit 7 of the involved registers fixed at 0, so the previous behaviour which allowed setting temp zone limits > 127 was not correct. 2009-12-09hwmon: (f71882fg) Fix sysfs file removalHans de Goede
There is a bug in the old sysfs file removal, as it uses fxxxx_in_temp_attr to remove the in and temp sysfs attributes, but fxxxx_in_temp_attr has temp#_alarm, where as f71858fg_in_temp_attr has temp#_max_alarm, so the temp#_max_alarm attributes for the f71858fg never get removed. This patch fixes this by doing the sysfs removal exactly the same way as the creation instead of being (too) clever, this will also avoid similar bugs in the future. 2009-12-09hwmon: (f71882fg) Cleanup sysfs attr creation 2/2Hans de Goede
This patch merges the f71882fg_auto_pwm_attr array into the fxxxx_fan_attr resp. fxxxx_auto_pwm_attr array, as the f71882fg_auto_pwm_attr array was merely extending these 2 with entries for a 4th fan, it also makes these 2 arrays 2 dimensional so that the rest of the code can choose to add attr for 3 or 4 fans without needing to know the nr of attr per fan. 2009-12-09hwmon: (f71882fg) Cleanup sysfs attr creation 1/2Hans de Goede
This patch makes a number of cleanups to the sysfs attr creation in the f71882fg driver, this is a preparation patch for adding f71889fg support: * Add some comments to explain why some models need separate sysfs attr arrays for in / temp / fan / pwm * Rename a number of sysfs attr arrays to make their function clearer * Move the pwm#_auto_channels_temp attribute from the common to all models fan attr array to the per model auto mode pwm attr arrays, so that all the auto mode pwm attr are grouped together, and thus can be left out on models where we don't support auto pwm mode * Put fan_beep attr in their own array, so that only auto mode pwm attr remain in the per model pwm sysfs attr arrays. * Put the 4th special fan input for the f8000 in its own array, so that only auto mode pwm attr remain in the per model pwm sysfs attr arrays.
