2021-11-05NFS: Remove the label from the nfs4_lookup_res structAnna Schumaker
And usethe fattr's label field instead. I also adjust function calls to remove labels along the way. Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Remove the nfs4_label from the nfs4_link_res structAnna Schumaker
Again, use the fattr's label field instead. Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Remove the nfs4_label from the nfs4_create_res structAnna Schumaker
Instead, use the label embedded in the attached fattr. Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Remove the nfs4_label from the nfs_entry structAnna Schumaker
And instead allocate the fattr using nfs_alloc_fattr_with_label() Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Create a new nfs_alloc_fattr_with_label() functionAnna Schumaker
For creating fattrs with the label field already allocated for us. I also update nfs_free_fattr() to free the label in the end. Signed-off-by: Anna Schumaker <Anna.Schumaker@Netapp.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Always initialise fattr->label in nfs_fattr_alloc()Trond Myklebust
We're about to add a check in nfs_free_fattr() for whether or not the label is non-zero. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFSv4.2: alloc_file_pseudo() takes an open flag, not an f_modeTrond Myklebust
Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Don't allocate nfs_fattr on the stack in __nfs42_ssc_open()Trond Myklebust
The preferred behaviour is always to allocate struct nfs_fattr from the slab. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFSv4: Remove unnecessary 'minor version' checkTrond Myklebust
It is completely redundant to the server capability check. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFSv4: Fix potential Oops in decode_op_map()Trond Myklebust
The return value of xdr_inline_decode() is not being checked, leading to a potential Oops. Just replace the open coded array decode with the generic XDR version. Reported-by: <rtm@csail.mit.edu> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFSv4: Ensure decode_compound_hdr() sanity checks the tagTrond Myklebust
The server is supposed to return the same tag that the client sends in the outgoing RPC call, but we should still sanity check the length just in case. Reported-by: <rtm@csail.mit.edu> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com>
2021-11-05NFS: Don't trace an uninitialised valueTrond Myklebust
If fhandle is NULL or fattr is NULL, then 'error' is uninitialised. Reported-by: Nathan Chancellor <nathan@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <trond.myklebust@hammerspace.com> Reviewed-by: Nathan Chancellor <nathan@kernel.org>
2021-11-05thermal: Replace pr_warn() with pr_warn_once() in user_space_bind()Rafael J. Wysocki
Use pr_warn_once() instead of pr_warn() to print the user space governor deprecation message in user_space_bind() to reduce the kernel log noise. 2021-11-05thermal: Fix NULL pointer dereferences in of_thermal_ functionsSubbaraman Narayanamurthy
of_parse_thermal_zones() parses the thermal-zones node and registers a thermal_zone device for each subnode. However, if a thermal zone is consuming a thermal sensor and that thermal sensor device hasn't probed yet, an attempt to set trip_point_*_temp for that thermal zone device can cause a NULL pointer dereference. Fix it. console:/sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone87 # echo 120000 > trip_point_0_temp ... Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000020 ... As I want to test both DEVMAP and DEVMAP_HASH in XDP multicast redirect, I limited DEVMAP max entries to a small value for performace. When the test runs after amount of interface creating/deleting tests. The interface index will exceed the map max entries and xdp_redirect_multi will error out with "Get interfacesInterface index to large". 2021-11-05Merge tag 'scsi-misc' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jejb/scsiLinus Torvalds
Pull SCSI updates from James Bottomley: "This consists of the usual driver updates (ufs, smartpqi, lpfc, target, megaraid_sas, hisi_sas, qla2xxx) and minor updates and bug fixes. Notable core changes are the removal of scsi->tag which caused some churn in obsolete drivers and a sweep through all drivers to call scsi_done() directly instead of scsi->done() which removes a pointer indirection from the hot path and a move to register core sysfs files earlier, which means they're available to KOBJ_ADD processing, which necessitates switching all drivers to using attribute groups" * tag 'scsi-misc' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jejb/scsi: (279 commits) scsi: lpfc: Update lpfc version to 14.0.0.3 scsi: lpfc: Allow fabric node recovery if recovery is in progress before devloss scsi: lpfc: Fix link down processing to address NULL pointer dereference scsi: lpfc: Allow PLOGI retry if previous PLOGI was aborted scsi: lpfc: Fix use-after-free in lpfc_unreg_rpi() routine scsi: lpfc: Correct sysfs reporting of loop support after SFP status change scsi: lpfc: Wait for successful restart of SLI3 adapter during host sg_reset scsi: lpfc: Revert LOG_TRACE_EVENT back to LOG_INIT prior to driver_resource_setup() scsi: ufs: ufshcd-pltfrm: Fix memory leak due to probe defer scsi: ufs: mediatek: Avoid sched_clock() misuse scsi: mpt3sas: Make mpt3sas_dev_attrs static scsi: scsi_transport_sas: Add 22.5 Gbps link rate definitions scsi: target: core: Stop using bdevname() scsi: aha1542: Use memcpy_{from,to}_bvec() scsi: sr: Add error handling support for add_disk() scsi: sd: Add error handling support for add_disk() scsi: target: Perform ALUA group changes in one step scsi: target: Replace lun_tg_pt_gp_lock with rcu in I/O path scsi: target: Fix alua_tg_pt_gps_count tracking scsi: target: Fix ordered tag handling ...
