2014-07-31ACPICA: acpihelp: Add UUID support, restructure some existing files.Bob Moore
This adds a -u option to acpi_help to display all known ACPI UUIDs. Some existing files in the core code have been restructured. Three new files. 2014-07-31ACPICA: Utilities: Fix local printf issue.Lv Zheng
The bug can be reproduced by using a format that do not have the width.prec specified after a format that have the width.prec specified. The second formatted output will be wrong. The root cause is acpi_ut_vsnprintf() doesn't reset the specifiers to the default values. This patch fixes this issue. BZ 1094. Reported by Yizhe Wang, fixed by Lv Zheng. Since acpi_ut_vprintf() is only enabled for specific OSPM now, this patch doesn't affect Linux kernel. 2014-07-31ACPICA: Disassembler: Add support for the ToUUID opererator (macro).Bob Moore
This change adds support to disassemble a UUID back to the original ToUUID operator. It will detect a UUID within a standard AML Buffer. Also, a description of the UUID is emitted for "known" UUIDs, defined as UUIDs that are defined in the ACPI specification. Since this is a change for disassembler which is not shipped in the Linux kernel, the Linux kernel is not affected. 2014-07-30f2fs: remove redundant lines in allocate_data_blockDongho Sim
There are redundant lines in allocate_data_block. In this function, we call refresh_sit_entry with old seg and old curseg. After that, we call locate_dirty_segment with old curseg. But, the new address is always allocated from old curseg and we call locate_dirty_segment with old curseg in refresh_sit_entry. So, we do not need to call locate_dirty_segment with old curseg again. We've discussed like below: Jaegeuk said: "When considering SSR, we need to take care of the following scenario. - old segno : X - new address : Z - old curseg : Y This means, a new block is supposed to be written to Z from X. And Z is newly allocated in the same path from Y. In that case, we should trigger locate_dirty_segment for Y, since it was a current_segment and can be dirty owing to SSR. But that was not included in the dirty list." Changman said: "We already choosed old curseg(Y) and then we allocate new address(Z) from old curseg(Y). After that we call refresh_sit_entry(old address, new address). In the funcation, we call locate_dirty_segment with old seg and old curseg. So calling locate_dirty_segment after refresh_sit_entry again is redundant." Jaegeuk said: "Right. The new address is always allocated from old_curseg." 2014-07-30ip_tunnel(ipv4): fix tunnels with "local any remote $remote_ip"Dmitry Popov
Ipv4 tunnels created with "local any remote $ip" didn't work properly since 7d442fab0 (ipv4: Cache dst in tunnels). 99% of packets sent via those tunnels had src addr = 0.0.0.0. That was because only dst_entry was cached, although fl4.saddr has to be cached too. Every time ip_tunnel_xmit used cached dst_entry (tunnel_rtable_get returned non-NULL), fl4.saddr was initialized with tnl_params->saddr (= 0 in our case), and wasn't changed until iptunnel_xmit(). This patch adds saddr to ip_tunnel->dst_cache, fixing this issue. Reported-by: Sergey Popov <pinkbyte@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Popov <ixaphire@qrator.net> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-07-30MIPS: ptrace: Change GP regset to use correct core dump register layoutAlex Smith
Commit 6a9c001b7ec3 ("MIPS: Switch ELF core dumper to use regsets.") switched the core dumper to use regsets, however the GP regset code simply makes a direct copy of the kernel's pt_regs, which does not match the original core dump register layout as defined in asm/reg.h. Furthermore, the definition of pt_regs can vary with certain Kconfig variables, therefore the GP regset can never be relied upon to return registers in the same layout. Therefore, this patch changes the GP regset to match the original core dump layout. The layout differs for 32- and 64-bit processes, so separate implementations of the get/set functions are added for the 32- and 64-bit regsets.
