2012-03-07ctcm: use correct idal word list for ctcmpcBelinda Thompson
Communication Server Linux uses the ctcmpc code of the ctcm driver. Sending problems have shown up caused by a wrong idal word list for the first ccw. Function ctcmpc_chx_txdone() invokes the function to prepare the idal word list without setting an appropriate length for the first ccw, which may lead to an incomplete idal word list. This patch sets the maximum buffer size as data length of the first ccw. Thus correct idal word lists are guaranteed in all cases. ctcmpc debugging can be activated defining constant DEBUGCCW. The debugging part contains wrong checks for 64 bit addresses. Thus the debugging version does not compile. In case of transport through HiperSockets the underlying network interface may switch to DOWN state or the underlying network device may recover. In both cases the socket must change to IUCV_DISCONN state. If the interface goes down, af_iucv has a chance to notify its connection peer in addition. If a master would like to raise the security level, it will send a pairing request. While the pending security level is set on an incoming security request (from a slave), it is not set on a pairing request. As a result, the security level would not be raised on the slave in such case. Fix this by setting the pending security when receiving pairing requests according to the requested authorization. Right now we won't touch ASPM state if ASPM is disabled, except in the case where we find a device that appears to be too old to reliably support ASPM. Right now we'll clear it in that case, which is almost certainly the wrong thing to do. The easiest way around this is just to disable the blacklisting when ASPM is disabled. 2012-03-07spi: create a message queueing infrastructureLinus Walleij
This rips the message queue in the PL022 driver out and pushes it into (optional) common infrastructure. Drivers that want to use the message pumping thread will need to define the new per-messags transfer methods and leave the deprecated transfer() method as NULL. Most of the design is described in the documentation changes that are included in this patch. Since there is a queue that need to be stopped when the system is suspending/resuming, two new calls are implemented for the device drivers to call in their suspend()/resume() functions: spi_master_suspend() and spi_master_resume(). ChangeLog v1->v2: - Remove Kconfig entry and do not make the queue support optional at all, instead be more agressive and have it as part of the compulsory infrastructure. - If the .transfer() method is implemented, delete print a small deprecation notice and do not start the transfer pump. - Fix a bitrotted comment. 2012-03-07RDMA/iwcm: Reject connect requests if cmid is not in LISTEN stateSteve Wise
When destroying a listening cmid, the iwcm first marks the state of the cmid as DESTROYING, then releases the lock and calls into the iWARP provider to destroy the endpoint. Since the cmid is not locked, its possible for the iWARP provider to pass a connection request event to the iwcm, which will be silently dropped by the iwcm. This causes the iWARP provider to never free up the resources from this connection because the assumption is the iwcm will accept or reject this connection. 2012-03-07openvswitch: Fix checksum update for actions on UDP packets.Jesse Gross
When modifying IP addresses or ports on a UDP packet we don't correctly follow the rules for unchecksummed packets. This meant that packets without a checksum can be given a incorrect new checksum and packets with a checksum can become marked as being unchecksummed. This fixes it to handle those requirements. 2012-03-07staging: drm/omap: Get DMM resources from hwmodAndy Gross
This patch splits the DMM off into a separate sub-device, in order to utilize the platform device information that was created as part of the OMAP hwmod entry for the DMM. The driver probe function queries the iomem resource and IRQ using standard platform_get functions. The OMAP DRM driver now calls the platform_driver_register() function for the subordinate DMM driver inside its probe function. This guarantees the required order for the DMM and ensures the DMM resources are available for use by the DRM driver. tsl2563 probe function has two minor issues with it's error handling paths: 1) it is silent (did not report errors to dmesg) 2) did not return failure code (mixed up use of ret and err) and two major issues: 3) goto fail2 would corrupt a free memory pool ("double free") 4) device registration failure did NOT cancel/flush delayed work. Gory details of tracking this down are here: http://crosbug.com/26819 Despite iio_device_registration failing, system can at least now boot. Will follow up with a fix to "double register : in_intensity_both_raw" error that is included in the bug report. This patch moves where max_zspage_order is declared and changes its meaning. "Order" typically implies 2^order of something; however, it is currently being used as the "maximum number of single pages in a zspage". To add clarity, ZS_MAX_ZSPAGE_ORDER is now used to calculate ZS_MAX_PAGES_PER_ZSPAGE, which is 2^ZS_MAX_ZSPAGE_ORDER and is the upper bound on the number of pages in a zspage. 2012-03-07staging: android/lowmemorykiller: Don't unregister notifier from atomic contextPaul E. McKenney
The lowmemorykiller registers an atomic notifier for notfication of when the task is freed. From this atomic notifier callback, it removes the atomic notifier via task_free_unregister(). This is incorrect because atomic_notifier_chain_unregister() calls syncronize_rcu(), which can sleep, which shouldn't be done from an atomic notifier. Fix this by registering the notifier during init, and only unregister it if the lowmemorykiller is unloaded. Rebased to -next by Paul E. McKenney. Rebased to -next again by Anton Vorontsov. 2012-03-07tcp: md5: correct a RCU lockdep splatEric Dumazet
commit a8afca0329 (tcp: md5: protects md5sig_info with RCU) added a lockdep splat in tcp_md5_do_lookup() in case a timer fires a tcp retransmit. At this point, socket lock is owned by the sofirq handler, not the user, so we should adjust a bit the lockdep condition, as we dont hold rcu_read_lock(). 2012-03-07regulator: tps65910: Configure correct value for VDDCTRL vout regLaxman Dewangan
As per datasheet, the voltage output is defined as from SEL[6:0] = 3 to 64 (dec) Vout= (SEL[6:0] × 12.5 mV + 562.5 mV) The list_voltage returns the vout as 600mV + selector * 12.5mV and so equivalent VSEL is selector + 3.
