Selecting HAVE_NOP_MCOUNT enables -mnop-mcount (if gcc supports it)
and sets CC_USING_NOP_MCOUNT. Reuse __is_defined (which is suitable for
testing CC_USING_* defines) to avoid conditional compilation and fix
the following gcc 9 warning on s390:

Convert the cgroup-v1 files to ReST format, in order to
allow a later addition to the admin-guide.
The conversion is actually:
- add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs;
- fix tables markups;
- add some lists markups;
- mark literal blocks;
- adjust title markups.
At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to
the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings.

Currently the default clock rates for the HDA and HDA2CODEC_2X clocks
are both 19.2MHz. However, the default rates for these clocks should
actually be 51MHz and 48MHz, respectively. The current clock settings
results in a distorted output during audio playback. Correct the default
clock rates for these clocks by specifying them in the clock init table
for Tegra210.

Check that the NFC_ATTR_TARGET_INDEX attributes (in addition to
NFC_ATTR_DEVICE_INDEX) are provided by the netlink client prior to
accessing them. This prevents potential unhandled NULL pointer dereference
exceptions which can be triggered by malicious user-mode programs,
if they omit one or both of these attributes.

Currently, btrfs does not consult seed devices to start readahead. As a
result, if readahead zone is added to the seed devices, btrfs_reada_wait()
indefinitely wait for the reada_ctl to finish.
You can reproduce the hung by modifying btrfs/163 to have larger initial
file size (e.g. xfs_io pwrite 4M instead of current 256K).

Since commit d52888aa2753 ("x86/mm: Move LDT remap out of KASLR region on
5-level paging") kernel doesn't boot with KASAN on 5-level paging machines.
The bug is actually in early_p4d_offset() and introduced by commit
12a8cc7fcf54 ("x86/kasan: Use the same shadow offset for 4- and 5-level paging")
early_p4d_offset() tries to convert pgd_val(*pgd) value to a physical
address. This doesn't make sense because pgd_val() already contains the
physical address.
It did work prior to commit d52888aa2753 because the result of
"__pa_nodebug(pgd_val(*pgd)) & PTE_PFN_MASK" was the same as "pgd_val(*pgd)
& PTE_PFN_MASK". __pa_nodebug() just set some high bits which were masked
out by applying PTE_PFN_MASK.
After the change of the PAGE_OFFSET offset in commit d52888aa2753
__pa_nodebug(pgd_val(*pgd)) started to return a value with more high bits
set and PTE_PFN_MASK wasn't enough to mask out all of them. So it returns a
wrong not even canonical address and crashes on the attempt to dereference
it.
Switch back to pgd_val() & PTE_PFN_MASK to cure the issue.

When calling debugfs functions, there is no need to ever check the
return value. The function can work or not, but the code logic should
never do something different based on this.
The only way this can fail is if:
* debugfs superblock can not be pinned - something really went wrong with the
vfs layer.
* file is created with same name - the caller's fault.
* new_inode() fails - happens if memory is exhausted.
so failing to clean up debugfs properly is the least of the system's
sproblems in uch a situation.

In wiphy_new_nm(), if an error occurs after dev_set_name() and
device_initialize() have already been called, it's necessary to call
put_device() (via wiphy_free()) to avoid a memory leak.

The bits of Rx MCS Map in VHT capability were enumerated
with index transform - index i -> (i + 1) bit => nss i. BUG!
while it should be - index i -> (i + 1) bit => (i + 1) nss.
The bug was exposed in commit a53b2a0b1245 ("iwlwifi: mvm: implement VHT
extended NSS support in rs.c"), where iwlwifi started using the
function.

It is not a good idea to try to perform any work (e.g. send an auth
frame) during reconfigure flow.
Prevent this from happening, and at the end of the reconfigure flow
requeue all the works.

The seen_indices variable is u64 and in other parts of the code we
assume mbssid_index_ie[2] can be up to 45, so we should use the 64-bit
versions of BIT, namely, BIT_ULL().

In multiple SSID cases, it takes time to prepare every AP interface
to be ready in initializing phase. If a sta already knows everything it
needs to join one of the APs and sends authentication to the AP which
is not fully prepared at this point of time, AP's channel context
could be NULL. As a result, warning message occurs.
Even worse, if the AP is under attack via tools such as MDK3 and massive
authentication requests are received in a very short time, console will
be hung due to kernel warning messages.
WARN_ON_ONCE() could be a better way for indicating warning messages
without duplicate messages to flood the console.
Johannes: We still need to address the underlying problem, but we
don't really have a good handle on it yet. Suppress the
worst side-effects for now.

Designated initializers allow specifying only the members of the struct
that need initialization. Non-mentioned members are initialized to zero.
This makes the code a bit clearer (particularly in ima_add_boot_aggregate)
and also allows adding a new member to the struct without having to update
all struct initializations.

Atomic policy updaters are not very useful as they cannot
usually perform the policy updates on their own. Since it
seems that there is no strict need for the atomicity,
switch to the blocking variant. While doing so, rename
the functions accordingly.

If enabled, ima arch specific policies always adds the measurements rules,
this makes it dependent on CONFIG_IMA. CONFIG_IMA_APPRAISE implicitly takes
care of this, however it is needed explicitly for CONFIG_KEXEC_VERIFY_SIG.
This patch adds the CONFIG_IMA dependency in combination with
CONFIG_KEXEC_VERIFY_SIG for CONFIG_IMA_ARCH_POLICY

The db->lock is a raw spinlock and so the lock hold time is supposed
to be short. This will not be the case when printk() is being involved
in some of the critical sections. In order to avoid the long hold time,
in case some messages need to be printed, the debug_object_is_on_stack()
and debug_print_object() calls are now moved out of those critical
sections.

After a system bootup and 3 parallel kernel builds, a partial output
of the debug objects stats file was:
pool_free :5101
pool_pcp_free :4181
pool_min_free :220
pool_used :104172
pool_max_used :171920
on_free_list :0
objs_allocated:39268280
objs_freed :39160031
More than 39 millions debug objects had since been allocated and then
freed. The pool_max_used, however, was only about 172k. So this is a
lot of extra overhead in freeing and allocating objects from slabs. It
may also causes the slabs to be more fragmented and harder to reclaim.
Make the freeing of excess debug objects less aggressive by freeing them at
a maximum frequency of 10Hz and about 1k objects at each round of freeing.
With that change applied, the partial output of the debug objects stats
file after similar actions became:
pool_free :5901
pool_pcp_free :3742
pool_min_free :1022
pool_used :104805
pool_max_used :168081
on_free_list :0
objs_allocated:5796864
objs_freed :5687182

In fill_pool(), the pool_lock is acquired and then released once per debug
object. If many objects are to be filled, the constant lock and unlock
operations are extra overhead.
To reduce the overhead, batch them up and do an allocation of 4 objects per
lock/unlock sequence.

Most workloads will allocate a bunch of memory objects, work on them
and then freeing all or most of them. So just having a percpu free pool
may not reduce the pool_lock contention significantly if large number
of objects are being used.
To help those situations, we are now doing lookahead allocation and
freeing of the debug objects into and out of the percpu free pool. This
will hopefully reduce the number of times the pool_lock needs to be
taken and hence its contention level.

When a multi-threaded workload does a lot of small memory object
allocations and deallocations, it may cause the allocation and freeing of
many debug objects. This will make the global pool_lock a bottleneck in the
performance of the workload. Since interrupts are disabled when acquiring
the pool_lock, it may even cause hard lockups to happen.
To reduce contention of the global pool_lock, add a percpu debug object
free pool that can be used to buffer some of the debug object allocation
and freeing requests without acquiring the pool_lock. Each CPU will now
have a percpu free pool that can hold up to a maximum of 64 debug
objects. Allocation and freeing requests will go to the percpu free pool
first. If that fails, the pool_lock will be taken and the global free pool
will be used.
The presence or absence of obj_cache is used as a marker to see if the
percpu cache should be used.

return value. The function can work or not, but the code logic should
never do something different based on this.

The output of the IC downsizer unit in both dimensions must be <= 1024
before being passed to the IC resizer unit. This was causing corrupted
images when:
input_dim > 1024, and
input_dim / 2 < output_dim < input_dim
Some broken examples were 1920x1080 -> 1024x768 and 1920x1080 ->
1280x1080.

The input bytesperline calculation for packed pixel formats was
incorrect. The min/max clamping values must be multiplied by the
packed bits-per-pixel. This was causing corrupted converted images
when the input format was RGB4 (probably also other input packed
formats).

The output width and height alignment values were being used in the
input bytesperline calculation. Fix by separating local vars w_align
and h_align into w_align_in, h_align_in, w_align_out, and h_align_out.

When starting ICM firmware on Apple systems we need to perform CIO reset
as part of the flow. However, it turns out that the reset register has
changed to another location in Titan Ridge.
Fix this by introducing ->cio_reset() callback with corresponding
implementations for Alpine and Titan Ridge.

'default n' is the default value for any bool or tristate Kconfig
setting so there is no need to write it explicitly.
Also since commit f467c5640c29 ("kconfig: only write '# CONFIG_FOO
is not set' for visible symbols") the Kconfig behavior is the same
regardless of 'default n' being present or not:
...
One side effect of (and the main motivation for) this change is making
the following two definitions behave exactly the same:
config FOO
bool
config FOO
bool
default n
With this change, neither of these will generate a
'# CONFIG_FOO is not set' line (assuming FOO isn't selected/implied).
That might make it clearer to people that a bare 'default n' is
redundant.

The BB expander at 0x21 i2c bus 1 fails to probe on da850-evm because
the board doesn't set has_full_constraints to true in the regulator
API.
Call regulator_has_full_constraints() at the end of board registration
just like we do in da850-lcdk and da830-evm.

Add the CPUID enumeration for Intel's de-feature bits to accommodate
passing these de-features through to kvm guests.
These de-features are (from SDM vol 1, section 8.1.8):
- X86_FEATURE_FDP_EXCPTN_ONLY: If CPUID.(EAX=07H,ECX=0H):EBX[bit 6] = 1, the
data pointer (FDP) is updated only for the x87 non-control instructions that
incur unmasked x87 exceptions.
- X86_FEATURE_ZERO_FCS_FDS: If CPUID.(EAX=07H,ECX=0H):EBX[bit 13] = 1, the
processor deprecates FCS and FDS; it saves each as 0000H.

Jason reported that the coarse ktime based time getters advance only once
per second and not once per tick as advertised.
The code reads only the monotonic base time, which advances once per
second. The nanoseconds are accumulated on every tick in xtime_nsec up to
a second and the regular time getters take this nanoseconds offset into
account, but the ktime_get_coarse*() implementation fails to do so.
Add the accumulated xtime_nsec value to the monotonic base time to get the
proper per tick advancing coarse tinme.
