2017-08-24Input: ALPS - fix two-finger scroll breakage in right side on ALPS touchpadMasaki Ota
Fixed the issue that two finger scroll does not work correctly on V8 protocol. The cause is that V8 protocol X-coordinate decode is wrong at SS4 PLUS device. I added SS4 PLUS X decode definition. Mote notes: the problem manifests itself by the commit e7348396c6d5 ("Input: ALPS - fix V8+ protocol handling (73 03 28)"), where a fix for the V8+ protocol was applied. Although the culprit must have been present beforehand, the two-finger scroll worked casually even with the wrongly reported values by some reason. It got broken by the commit above just because it changed x_max value, and this made libinput correctly figuring the MT events. Since the X coord is reported as falsely doubled, the events on the right-half side go outside the boundary, thus they are no longer handled. This resulted as a broken two-finger scroll. One finger event is decoded differently, and it didn't suffer from this problem. While running nfs/connectathon tests kernel NULL-pointer exception has been observed due to races in svcsock.c. Race is appear when kernel accepts connection by kernel_accept (which creates new socket) and start queuing ingress packets to new socket. This happens in ksoftirq context which could run concurrently on a different core while new socket setup is not done yet. The fix is to re-order socket user data init sequence and add write/read barrier calls to be sure that we got proper values for callback pointers before actually calling them. Test results: nfs/connectathon reports '0' failed tests for about 200+ iterations. 2017-08-24nfsd: Limit end of page list when decoding NFSv4 WRITEChuck Lever
When processing an NFSv4 WRITE operation, argp->end should never point past the end of the data in the final page of the page list. Otherwise, nfsd4_decode_compound can walk into uninitialized memory. More critical, nfsd4_decode_write is failing to increment argp->pagelen when it increments argp->pagelist. This can cause later xdr decoders to assume more data is available than really is, which can cause server crashes on malformed requests. This doesn't mean the send WQEs will be for multi packet unless the send WQE was prepared according to multi packet send WQE format. 2017-08-24IB/mlx5: Add support for multi underlay QPYishai Hadas
Set underlay QPN as part of flow rule when it's applicable. There is one root flow table in the NIC RX namespace and all the underlay QPs steer the traffic to this flow table. In order to prevent QP to get traffic which is not target to its underlay QP, we need to set the underlay QP number as part of the steering matching. Note: When multicast traffic is sent the QPN filtering is done by the firmware as some early step. Adding the QPN match on the flow table entry is wrong as by that time the target QPN holds the multicast address (e.g. FF(s)) and it won't match. 2017-08-24IB/mlx5: Decouple MR allocation and population flowsIlya Lesokhin
mlx5 compatible devices have two ways of populating the MTT table of an MKEY: using a FW command and using a UMR WQE. A UMR is much faster, so it should be used whenever possible. Unfortunately the code today uses UMR only if the MKEY was allocated from the MR cache. Fix the code to use UMR even for MKEYs that were allocated using a FW command. This patch is the first step in decoupling UMR usage and allocation from the MR cache. The only functional change in this patch is to enables UMR for MRs created with reg_create. This change fixes a bug where ODP memory regions that were not allocated from the MR cache did not have UMR enabled. 2017-08-24IB/mlx5: Expose software parsing for Raw Ethernet QPNoa Osherovich
Software parsing (SWP) is a feature that can be used to instruct the device to stop using its internal parser and to parse packets on the transmit path according to offsets set for each packets. Through this feature, the device allows the handling of checksum and LSO by the hardware according to the location of IP and TCP/UDP headers. Enable SW parsing on Raw Ethernet send queue by default if firmware supports it and report these capabilities to user space. 2017-08-24IB: Avoid ib_modify_port() failure for RoCE devicesSelvin Xavier
IB CM calls ib_modify_port() irrespective of link layer. If the failure is returned, the mad agent gets unregistered for those devices. Recently, modify_port() hook was removed from some of the low level drivers as it was always returning success. This breaks rdma connection establishment over those devices. For ethernet devices, Qkey violation and port capabilities are not applicable. So returning success for RoCE when modify_port hook is is not implemented. 2017-08-24tipc: Fix tipc_sk_reinit handling of -EAGAINBob Peterson
In 9dbbfb0ab6680c6a85609041011484e6658e7d3c function tipc_sk_reinit had additional logic added to loop in the event that function rhashtable_walk_next() returned -EAGAIN. No worries. However, if rhashtable_walk_start returns -EAGAIN, it does "continue", and therefore skips the call to rhashtable_walk_stop(). That has the effect of calling rcu_read_lock() without its paired call to rcu_read_unlock(). Since rcu_read_lock() may be nested, the problem may not be apparent for a while, especially since resize events may be rare. But the comments to rhashtable_walk_start() state: * ...Note that we take the RCU lock in all * cases including when we return an error. So you must always call * rhashtable_walk_stop to clean up. This patch replaces the continue with a goto and label to ensure a matching call to rhashtable_walk_stop(). The bug is probably harmless, but it seems like a good idea to address it in stable kernels as well, if only for the purpose of building with gcc-8 without warnings.
