When resetting the linear mapping permissions, we must make sure that we
clear the X bit so that do not end up with WX mappings (since we set
PAGE_KERNEL).

The last mapping is not reset and we end up with WX mappings in the linear
mapping.
So add VM_FLUSH_RESET_PERMS to our module_alloc() definition.

lm_alias() can only be used on kernel mappings since it explicitly uses
__pa_symbol(), so simply fix this by checking where the address belongs
to before.

When file is changed using notepad on read-only share(read_only = yes in
ksmbd.conf), There is a problem where existing data is truncated.
notepad in windows try to O_TRUNC open(FILE_OVERWRITE_IF) and all data
in file is truncated. This patch don't allow O_TRUNC open on read-only
share and add KSMBD_TREE_CONN_FLAG_WRITABLE check in smb2_set_info().

In of_parse_phandle_with_args_map() the inner loop that
iterates through the map entries calls of_node_put(new)
to free the reference acquired by the previous iteration
of the inner loop. This assumes that the value of "new" is
NULL on the first iteration of the inner loop.
Make sure that this is true in all iterations of the outer
loop by setting "new" to NULL after its value is assigned to "cur".
Extend the unittest to detect the double free and add an additional
test case that actually triggers this path.

ida_alloc() and ida_free() should be preferred to the deprecated
ida_simple_get() and ida_simple_remove().
This is less verbose.
Note that the upper limit of ida_simple_get() is exclusive, but the one of
ida_alloc_range() is inclusive. So change a 0xFFFFFFFF into a 0xFFFFFFFE in
order to keep the same behavior.

If file opened with v2 lease is upgraded with v1 lease, smb server
should response v2 lease create context to client.
This patch fix smb2.lease.v2_epoch2 test failure.
This test case assumes the following scenario:
1. smb2 create with v2 lease(R, LEASE1 key)
2. smb server return smb2 create response with v2 lease context(R,
LEASE1 key, epoch + 1)
3. smb2 create with v1 lease(RH, LEASE1 key)
4. smb server return smb2 create response with v2 lease context(RH,
LEASE1 key, epoch + 2)
i.e. If same client(same lease key) try to open a file that is being
opened with v2 lease with v1 lease, smb server should return v2 lease.

The SMB2 Protocol requires that "The first byte of the Direct TCP
transport packet header MUST be zero (0x00)"[1]. Commit 1c1bcf2d3ea0
("ksmbd: validate smb request protocol id") removed the validation of
this 1-byte zero. Add the validation back now.

Pull slab updates from Vlastimil Babka:
- SLUB: delayed freezing of CPU partial slabs (Chengming Zhou)
Freezing is an operation involving double_cmpxchg() that makes a slab
exclusive for a particular CPU. Chengming noticed that we use it also
in situations where we are not yet installing the slab as the CPU
slab, because freezing also indicates that the slab is not on the
shared list. This results in redundant freeze/unfreeze operation and
can be avoided by marking separately the shared list presence by
reusing the PG_workingset flag.
This approach neatly avoids the issues described in 9b1ea29bc0d7
("Revert "mm, slub: consider rest of partial list if acquire_slab()
fails"") as we can now grab a slab from the shared list in a quick
and guaranteed way without the cmpxchg_double() operation that
amplifies the lock contention and can fail.
As a result, lkp has reported 34.2% improvement of
stress-ng.rawudp.ops_per_sec
- SLAB removal and SLUB cleanups (Vlastimil Babka)
The SLAB allocator has been deprecated since 6.5 and nobody has
objected so far. We agreed at LSF/MM to wait until the next LTS,
which is 6.6, so we should be good to go now.
This doesn't yet erase all traces of SLAB outside of mm/ so some dead
code, comments or documentation remain, and will be cleaned up
gradually (some series are already in the works).
Removing the choice of allocators has already allowed to simplify and
optimize the code wiring up the kmalloc APIs to the SLUB
implementation.

Commit cf1b6d4441ff ("md: simplify md_seq_ops") introduce following
regressions:
1) If list all_mddevs is emptly, personalities and unused devices won't
be showed to user anymore.
2) If seq_file buffer overflowed from md_seq_show(), then md_seq_start()
will be called again, hence personalities will be showed to user
again.
3) If seq_file buffer overflowed from md_seq_stop(), seq_read_iter()
doesn't handle this, hence unused devices won't be showed to user.
Fix above problems by printing personalities and unused devices in
md_seq_show().

RPi 4 uses V3D 4.2, which is currently not supported by the register
definition stated at `v3d_core_reg_defs`. We should be able to support
V3D 4.2, therefore, change the maximum version of the register
definition to 42, not 41.

If the location of the kernel sources contains the string that we're
filtering for using DT_SCHEMA_FILES, then all schemas will currently be
matched, returned and checked, not just the ones we actually expected.
As an example, if the kernel sources happen to be below a directory
'google', and DT_SCHEMA_FILES=google, everything is checked. More
common examples might be having the sources below people's home
directories that contain the string st or arm and then searching for
those. The list is endless.
Fix this by only matching for schemas below the kernel source's
bindings directory.
Note that I opted for the implementation here so as to not having to
deal with escaping DT_SCHEMA_FILES, which would have been the
alternative if the grep match itself had been updated.

A driver for Microsoft's firmware-based Trusted Platform Module (fTPM)
was merged with commit 09e574831b27 ("tpm/tpm_ftpm_tee: A driver for
firmware TPM running inside TEE"), but its devicetree bindings were not.
This is the only remaining undocumented compatible string for a TPM,
so add a DT schema based on the patch linked below.

Convert the devicetree bindings for the Google Security Chip H1 running
Cr50 firmware to DT schema.
The chip can be attached to SPI or I²C. Existing devicetrees use the
same "google,cr50" compatible string for both cases without additionally
specifying a generic "tcg,tpm_tis-spi" or "tcg,tpm-tis-i2c" compatible.
The chip therefore cannot be documented in the tcg,tpm_tis-spi.yaml and
tcg,tpm-tis-i2c.yaml schemas: The validator would select both of them
and complain about SPI properties when the chip is an I²C peripheral.
So document the chip in a schema of its own which includes both, SPI and
I²C properties by reference.

A significant number of Trusted Platform Modules conform to the "TIS"
specification published by the Trusted Computing Group ("TCG PC Client
Specific TPM Interface Specification"). These chips typically use an
SPI, I²C or LPC bus as transport (via MMIO in the latter case). Some
of them even support multiple of those buses (selectable through a
config strap) or the same chip is available in multiple SKUs, each with
a different bus interface.
The devicetree bindings for these TPMs have not been converted to DT
schema yet and are spread out across 3 generic files and 2 chip-specific
files. A few TPM compatible strings were added to trivial-devices.yaml
even though additional properties are documented in the plaintext
bindings.
Consolidate the devicetree bindings into 3 yaml files, one per bus.
Move common properties to a separate tpm-common.yaml.
Document compatible strings which are supported by the TPM TIS driver
but were neglected to be added to the devicetree bindings.
Document the memory-region property recently introduced by commit
1e2714bb83fc ("tpm: Add reserved memory event log").

The integration for this SoC is different from the currently existing: It
needs it's PHY's reference clock rate to calculate the DDC bus frequency
correctly. The controller is also part of a powerdomain, so this gets added
as an mandatory property for this variant.

The iommus and iommu-names property schemas have several issues. First,
'iommus-names' in the if/then schemas is the wrong name. As all the names
are the same, they can be defined at the top level instead. Then the
if/then schemas just need to define how many entries. The iommus if/then
schemas are also redundant. Best I can tell, the desire was to require 2
entries for "samsung,exynos5433-mfc", "samsung,mfc-v5", "samsung,mfc-v6",
and "samsung,mfc-v8".

The allocation request for swiotlb contiguous memory greater than
128*2KB cannot be fulfilled because it exceeds the maximum contiguous
memory limit. If the swiotlb memory we allocate is larger than 128*2KB,
swiotlb_find_slots() will still schedule the allocation of a new memory
pool, which will increase memory overhead.
Fix it by adding a check with alloc_size no more than 128*2KB before
scheduling the allocation of a new memory pool in swiotlb_find_slots().

Like the ASUS ExpertBook B1502CBA and various ASUS laptops, the
ASUS ExpertBook B1502CGA has an ACPI DSDT table that describes IRQ 1 as
ActiveLow while the kernel overrides it to Edge_High.

Sparse reports an endian mismatch.
The amplifier expects the calibration data as big-endian.

Asus Vivobook E1504GA and E1504GAB notebooks are affected by bug #216158
(DSDT specifies the kbd IRQ as level active-low and using the override
changes this to rising edge, stopping the keyboard from working).
Users of these notebooks do not have a working keyboard unless they add
their DMI information to the struct irq1_level_low_skip_override array
and compile a custom kernel.
Add support for these computers to the Linux kernel without requiring
the end-user to recompile the kernel.

Now that the driver core can properly handle constant struct bus_type,
move the pnp_bus_type variable to be a constant structure as well,
placing it into read-only memory which can not be modified at runtime.

netfs_writepages_begin() has the wait on the fscache folio conditional on
CONFIG_NETFS_FSCACHE - which doesn't exist.

In __cachefiles_prepare_write(), the start and pos variables were made
unsigned 64-bit so that the casts in the checking could be got rid of -
which should be fine since absolute file offsets can't be negative, except
that an error code may be obtained from vfs_llseek(), which *would* be
negative. This breaks the error check.
Fix this for now by reverting pos and start to be signed and putting back
the casts. Unfortunately, the error value checks cannot be replaced with
IS_ERR_VALUE() as long might be 32-bits.

There are several rountines in the thermal netlink API that take a
thermal zone ID or a thermal zone type as their arguments, but from
their callers perspective it would be more convenient to pass a thermal
zone pointer to them and let them extract the necessary data from the
given thermal zone object by themselves.
Modify the code accordingly.
No intentional functional impact.

Because thermal_notify_tz_trip_add/delete() are never used, drop them
entirely along with the related code.
The addition or removal of trip points is not supported by the thermal
core and is unlikely to be supported in the future, so it is also
unlikely that these functions will ever be needed.
No intentional functional impact.
