2014-09-16vgaarb: Drop obsolete #ifndefBruno Prémont
Commit 20cde694027e ("x86, ia64: Move EFI_FB vga_default_device() initialization to pci_vga_fixup()") moved boot video device detection from efifb to x86 and ia64 pci/fixup.c. Remove the left-over #ifndef check that will always match since the corresponding arch-specific define is gone with above patch. 2014-09-16scsi: use 'depends' instead of 'select' for SCSI_FC_ATTRSRandy Dunlap
There are other kconfig symbols which use SCSI_FC_ATTRS. In order to maintain sanity and prevent kconfig warnings, change all of these from using 'select' to using 'depends on' so that proper symbol dependencies will be honored and circular depends problems will be avoided. This fixes kconfig warnings and build errors: warning: (LIBFC && SCSI_IBMVFC && SCSI_QLA_FC && SCSI_LPFC && ZFCP && SCSI_BFA_FC && SCSI_CHELSIO_FCOE && FUSION_FC) selects SCSI_FC_ATTRS which has unmet direct dependencies (SCSI && NET) drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_fc.c: In function 'fc_host_post_event': drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_fc.c:543:7: error: 'scsi_nl_sock' undeclared (first use in this function) drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_fc.c: In function 'fc_host_post_vendor_event': drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_fc.c:611:7: error: 'scsi_nl_sock' undeclared (first use in this function) Reported-by: Fengguang Wu <fengguang.wu@intel.com> [0-day test robot] Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-09-16sfc: fix addr_list_lock spinlock use before initEdward Cree
Reported by Nikolay Aleksandrov. In efx_init_port() we call efx_mac_reconfigure() to work around a Falcon/A1 limitation, and this calls efx_{arch}_filter_sync_rx_mode(), which takes the addr_list_lock; but this lock is uninitialised, because we haven't called register_netdevice() yet. So, in efx_farch_filter_sync_rx_mode(), check efx_dev_registered() before doing anything else. The EF10 equivalent, efx_ef10_filter_sync_rx_mode(), already has the corresponding check. 2014-09-16Merge branch 'net_next_ovs' of ↵David S. Miller
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/pshelar/openvswitch Pravin B Shelar says: ==================== Open vSwitch Following patches adds recirculation and hash action to OVS. First patch removes pointer to stack object. Next three patches does code restructuring which is required for last patch. Recirculation implementation is changed, according to comments from David Miller, to avoid using recursive calls in OVS. It is using queue to record recirc action and deferred recirc is executed at the end of current actions execution. v1-v2: Changed subsystem name in subject to openvswitch v2-v3: Added patch to remove pkt_key pointer from skb->cb. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-09-16vgaarb: Don't default exclusively to first video device with mem+ioBruno Prémont
Commit 20cde694027e ("x86, ia64: Move EFI_FB vga_default_device() initialization to pci_vga_fixup()") moved boot video device detection from efifb to x86 and ia64 pci/fixup.c. For dual-GPU Apple computers above change represents a regression as code in efifb did forcefully override vga_default_device while the merge did not (vgaarb happens prior to PCI fixup). To improve on initial device selection by vgaarb (it cannot know if PCI device not behind bridges see/decode legacy VGA I/O or not), move the screen_info based check from pci_video_fixup() to vgaarb's init function and use it to refine/override decision taken while adding the individual PCI VGA devices. This way PCI fixup has no reason to adjust vga_default_device anymore but can depend on its value for flagging shadowed VBIOS. This has the nice benefit of removing duplicated code but does introduce a #if defined() block in vgaarb. Not all architectures have screen_info and would cause compile to fail without it. 2014-09-16Bluetooth: btusb: Implement driver internal packet reassemblyMarcel Holtmann
When receiving USB interrupt, bulk or isochronous packet, they normally come in fragments. So far the driver just handed each fragment off to the hci_recv_fragment function of the Bluetooth core. That function is however so specific that is does not belong in the core. This patch implements the same reassembly logic in the driver. In addition this fixes a long standing bug where multiple complete packets are received within a single USB packet. Call stack of regcache_sync calls may not emit any error message even if operation was cancelled due an error in I/O driver. One such a silent error is for instance if I2C bus driver doesn't receive ACK from the I2C device and returns -EREMOTEIO. Since many users of regcache_sync() don't check and print the error there is no any indication that HW registers are potentially out of sync.
