Rockchip RK356x and RK3588 handle legacy interrupts via a ganged
interrupts. The RK356x DT implements this via a sub-node named
"legacy-interrupt-controller", just like a couple of other PCIe
implementations. This adds proper documentation for this and updates
the example to avoid regressions.

The RK356x (and RK3588) have 5 ganged interrupts. For example the
"legacy" interrupt combines "inta/intb/intc/intd" with a register
providing the details, which specific interrupt triggered. The
interrupts from the second level are part of the Synopsys DW PCIe
System Information Interface (SII). Some of them are listed in the
Interrupt Signals section, the others are mostly common SII output
signals. The grouping and the ganged interrupt controllers are
specific to the Rockchip implementation.
Currently the binding is not specifying these interrupts resulting
in a bunch of errors for all rk356x/rk3588 boards using PCIe.
Fix this by specifying the interrupts and add them to the example
to prevent regressions.
This changes the reference from snps,dw-pcie.yaml to
snps,dw-pcie-common.yaml, since the interrupts are vendor
specific and should not be listed in the generic file. The
only other bit from the generic binding are the reg-names,
which are overwritten by this binding.

Starting with commit 3e37c9d48f7a ("dt-bindings: hwmon: Convert lm75
bindings to yaml") 'national,lm75' has it's own dedicated (YAML) binding.
If kept in this file device specific properties as 'vs-supply' are
considered excessive. Remove compatible here so it can be checked with
more specific binding.

There are five virtchnl structures, which are allocated and checked in
the code as `nents + 1`, meaning that they always have memory for one
excessive element regardless of their actual number. This comes from
that their sizeof() includes space for 1 element and then they get
allocated via struct_size() or its open-coded equivalents, passing
the actual number of elements.
Expand virtchnl_struct_size() to handle such structures and replace
those 1-elem arrays with proper flex ones. Also fix several places
which open-code %IAVF_VIRTCHNL_VF_RESOURCE_SIZE. Finally, let the
virtchnl_ether_addr_list size be computed automatically when there's
no enough space for the whole list, otherwise we have to open-code
reverse struct_size() logics.

The two most problematic virtchnl structures are virtchnl_rss_key and
virtchnl_rss_lut. Their "flex" arrays have the type of u8, thus, when
allocating / checking, the actual size is calculated as `sizeof +
nents - 1 byte`. But their sizeof() is not 1 byte larger than the size
of such structure with proper flex array, it's two bytes larger due to
the padding. That said, their size is always 1 byte larger unless
there are no tail elements -- then it's +2 bytes.
Add virtchnl_struct_size() macro which will handle this case (and later
other cases as well). Make its calling conv the same as we call
struct_size() to allow it to be drop-in, even though it's unlikely to
become possible to switch to generic API. The macro will calculate a
proper size of a structure with a flex array at the end, so that it
becomes transparent for the compilers, but add the difference from the
old values, so that the real size of sorta-ABI-messages doesn't change.
Use it on the allocation side in IAVF and the receiving side (defined
as static inline in virtchnl.h) for the mentioned two structures.

There's report BUG in 'ext2_try_to_allocate_with_rsv()', although there's
now dump of all reservation windows information. But there's unknown which
window is being processed.So this is not helpful for locating the issue.
To better analyze the problem, dump the information about reservation window
that is being processed. And just bail with error instead of BUG here.

Now ext2 mkwrite doesn't allocate new blocks so for these cases we may
be allocating blocks during writeback. However, there is no protection
between ext2_xattr_set() and do_writepages() so these two functions can
conflict on handling the reservation window. To solve about issue don't
use the reservation window when allocating block for xattr.

It appears MPC_SPLIT_DYNAMIC still causes problems with multiple
displays on DCN2.0 hardware. Switch back to MPC_SPLIT_AVOID_MULT_DISP.
This increases power usage with multiple displays, but avoids hangs.

DCN 3.1.4 is reported to hang on s2idle entry if graphics activity
is happening during entry. This is because GFXOFF was scheduled as
delayed but RLC gets disabled in s2idle entry sequence which will
hang GFX IP if not already in GFXOFF.
To help this problem, flush any delayed work for GFXOFF early in
s2idle entry sequence to ensure that it's off when RLC is changed.
commit 4b31b92b143f ("drm/amdgpu: complete gfxoff allow signal during
suspend without delay") modified power gating flow so that if called
in s0ix that it ensured that GFXOFF wasn't put in work queue but
instead processed immediately.
This is dead code due to commit 10cb67eb8a1b ("drm/amdgpu: skip
CG/PG for gfx during S0ix") because GFXOFF will now not be explicitly
called as part of the suspend entry code. Remove that dead code.

GFX v11.0.1 reported fence fallback timer expired issue on
SDMA and GFX rings after S0ix resume. This is generated by
EOP interrupts are disabled when S0ix suspend but fails to
re-enable when resume because of the GFX is in GFXOFF.

Return 0 when drm device alloc failed with -ENOSPC in
order to allow amdgpu drive loading. But the xcp without
drm device node assigned won't be visiable in user space.
This helps amdgpu driver loading on system which has more
than 64 nodes, the current limitation.
The proposal to add more drm nodes is discussed in public,
which will support up to 2^20 nodes totally.

Return an error if a field's mask is neither full nor empty. When a mask
is only partial the field is not being used for rule programming but it
gives a wrong impression it is used. Fix by returning an error on any
partial mask to make it clear they are not supported.
The ip_ver assignment is moved earlier in code to allow using it in
iavf_validate_fdir_fltr_masks.

`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings
[1]. Which seems to be the case here due to the forceful setting of `buf`'s
tail to 0.
A suitable replacement is `strscpy` [2] due to the fact that it
guarantees NUL-termination on its destination buffer argument which is
_not_ the case for `strncpy`!
In this case, we can simplify the logic and also check for any silent
truncation by using `strscpy`'s return value.
This should have no functional change and yet uses a more robust and
less ambiguous interface whilst reducing code complexity.

The commit 1b715e1b0ec5 ("bpf: Support ->fill_link_info for perf_event") leads
to the following Smatch static checker warning:

That can happens when uname is NULL. So fix it by verifying the uname when we

Binutils-2.38 and GCC-12.1.0 bumped[0][1] the default ISA spec to the newer
20191213 version which moves some instructions from the I extension to the
Zicsr and Zifencei extensions. So if one of the binutils and GCC exceeds
that version, we should explicitly specifying Zicsr and Zifencei via -march
to cope with the new changes. but this only occurs when binutils >= 2.36
and GCC >= 11.1.0. It's a different story when binutils < 2.36.
binutils-2.36 supports the Zifencei extension[2] and splits Zifencei and
Zicsr from I[3]. GCC-11.1.0 is particular[4] because it add support Zicsr
and Zifencei extension for -march. binutils-2.35 does not support the
Zifencei extension, and does not need to specify Zicsr and Zifencei when
working with GCC >= 12.1.0.
To make our lives easier, let's relax the check to binutils >= 2.36 in
CONFIG_TOOLCHAIN_NEEDS_EXPLICIT_ZICSR_ZIFENCEI. For the other two cases,
where clang < 17 or GCC < 11.1.0, we will deal with them in
CONFIG_TOOLCHAIN_NEEDS_OLD_ISA_SPEC.

It was reported that the riscv kernel hangs while executing the test
in [1].
Indeed, the test hangs when trying to write a buffer to a file. The
problem is that the riscv implementation of raw_copy_from_user() does not
return the correct number of bytes not written when an exception happens
and is fixed up, instead it always returns the initial size to copy,
even if some bytes were actually copied.
generic_perform_write() pre-faults the user pages and bails out if nothing
can be written, otherwise it will access the userspace buffer: here the
riscv implementation keeps returning it was not able to copy any byte
though the pre-faulting indicates otherwise. So generic_perform_write()
keeps retrying to access the user memory and ends up in an infinite
loop.
Note that before the commit mentioned in [1] that introduced this
regression, it worked because generic_perform_write() would bail out if
only one byte could not be written.
So fix this by returning the number of bytes effectively not written in
__asm_copy_[to|from]_user() and __clear_user(), as it is expected.

The independent softirq stack uses s0 to save & restore sp, but s0 would
be corrupted when CONFIG_FRAME_POINTER=n. So add s0 in the clobber list
to fix the problem.

Add the jscvt feature check in the set of hwcap tests.
Due to the requirement of jscvt feature, a compiler configuration
of v8.3 or above is needed to support assembly. Therefore, hand
encode is used here instead.

The instructions c.jr and c.jalr must have rs1 != 0, but
riscv_insn_is_c_jr() and riscv_insn_is_c_jalr() do not check for this. So,
riscv_insn_is_c_jr() can match a reserved encoding, while
riscv_insn_is_c_jalr() can match the c.ebreak instruction.
Rewrite them with check for rs1 != 0.

When we test seccomp with 6.4 kernel, we found errno has wrong value.
If we deny NETLINK_AUDIT with EAFNOSUPPORT, after f0bddf50586d, we will
get ENOSYS instead. We got same result with commit 9c2598d43510 ("riscv:
entry: Save a0 prior syscall_enter_from_user_mode()").
After analysing code, we think that regs->a0 = -ENOSYS should only be
executed when syscall != -1. In __seccomp_filter, when seccomp rejected
this syscall with specified errno, they will set a0 to return number as
syscall ABI, and then return -1. This return number is finally pass as
return number of syscall_enter_from_user_mode, and then is compared with
NR_syscalls after converted to ulong (so it will be ULONG_MAX). The
condition syscall < NR_syscalls will always be false, so regs->a0 = -ENOSYS
is always executed. It covered a0 set by seccomp, so we always get
ENOSYS when match seccomp RET_ERRNO rule.

I run a small server that uses external hard drives for backups. The
backup software I use uses ext2 filesystems with 4KiB block size and
the server is running SELinux and therefore relies on xattr. I recently
upgraded the hard drives from 4TB to 12TB models. I noticed that after
transferring some TBs I got a filesystem error "Freeing blocks not in
datazone - block = 18446744071529317386, count = 1" and the backup
process stopped. Trying to fix the fs with e2fsck resulted in a
completely corrupted fs. The error probably came from ext2_free_blocks(),
and because of the large number 18e19 this problem immediately looked
like some kind of integer overflow. Whereas the 4TB fs was about 1e9
blocks, the new 12TB is about 3e9 blocks. So, searching the ext2 code,
I came across the line in fs/ext2/xattr.c:745 where ext2_new_block()
is called and the resulting block number is stored in the variable block
as an int datatype. If a block with a block number greater than
INT32_MAX is returned, this variable overflows and the call to
sb_getblk() at line fs/ext2/xattr.c:750 fails, then the call to
ext2_free_blocks() produces the error.

The clk_register_clkdev() allocates memory by calling vclkdev_alloc() and
this memory is not freed in the error path. Similarly, resources allocated
by clk_register_fixed_rate() are not freed in the error path.
Fix these issues by using devm_clk_hw_register_fixed_rate() and
devm_clk_hw_register_clkdev().
After this, the static variable clk is not needed. Replace it with
local variable hw in probe() and drop calling clk_unregister_fixed_rate()
from raa215300_rtc_unregister_device().

objtool reports the following warning:

gpr32_set_common() conditionally opens and closes UACCESS based on
whether kbuf pointer is NULL or not. This is wackelig.
Split gpr32_set_common() in two fonctions, one for user one for
kernel.

Now that ptrace and perf are no longer exclusive, update the
test to exercise interesting interactions.
An assembly file is used for the children to allow precise instruction
choice and addresses, while avoiding any compiler quirks.

ptrace and perf watchpoints were considered incompatible in
commit 29da4f91c0c1 ("powerpc/watchpoint: Don't allow concurrent perf
and ptrace events"), but the logic in that commit doesn't really apply.
Ptrace doesn't automatically single step; the ptracer must request this
explicitly. And the ptracer can do so regardless of whether a
ptrace/perf watchpoint triggered or not: it could single step every
instruction if it wanted to. Whatever stopped the ptracee before
executing the instruction that would trigger the perf watchpoint is no
longer relevant by this point.
To get correct behaviour when perf and ptrace are watching the same
data we must ignore the perf watchpoint. After all, ptrace has
before-execute semantics, and perf is after-execute, so perf doesn't
actually care about the watchpoint trigger at this point in time.
Pausing before execution does not mean we will actually end up executing
the instruction.
Importantly though, we don't remove the perf watchpoint yet. This is
key.
The ptracer is free to do whatever it likes right now. E.g., it can
continue the process, single step. or even set the child PC somewhere
completely different.
If it does try to execute the instruction though, without reinserting
the watchpoint (in which case we go back to the start of this example),
the perf watchpoint would immediately trigger. This time there is no
ptrace watchpoint, so we can safely perform a single step and increment
the perf counter. Upon receiving the single step exception, the existing
code already handles propagating or consuming it based on whether
another subsystem (e.g. ptrace) requested a single step. Again, this is
needed with or without perf/ptrace exclusion, because ptrace could be
single stepping this instruction regardless of if a watchpoint is
involved.

There is a bug in the current watchpoint tracking logic, where the
teardown in arch_unregister_hw_breakpoint() uses bp->ctx->task, which it
does not have a reference of and parallel threads may be in the process
of destroying. This was partially addressed in commit fb822e6076d9
("powerpc/hw_breakpoint: Fix oops when destroying hw_breakpoint event"),
but the underlying issue of accessing a struct member in an unknown
state still remained. Syzkaller managed to trigger a null pointer
derefernce due to the race between the task destructor and checking the
pointer and dereferencing it in the loop.
While this null pointer dereference could be fixed by using READ_ONCE
to access the task up front, that just changes the error to manipulating
possbily freed memory.
Instead, the breakpoint logic needs to be reworked to remove any
dependency on a context or task struct during breakpoint removal.
The reason we have this currently is to clear thread.last_hit_ubp. This
member is used to differentiate the perf DAWR single-step sequence from
other causes of single-step, such as userspace just calling
ptrace(PTRACE_SINGLESTEP, ...). We need to differentiate them because,
when the single step interrupt is received, we need to know whether to
re-insert the DAWR breakpoint (perf) or not (ptrace / other).
arch_unregister_hw_breakpoint() needs to clear this information to
prevent dangling pointers to possibly freed memory. These pointers are
dereferenced in single_step_dabr_instruction() without a way to check
their validity.
This patch moves the tracking of this information to the breakpoint
itself. This means we no longer have to do anything special to clean up.
